Well to me it depends on the area and the country you are but I think starting a food stuffs business is always the best , because you and your family will benefit from it , like you put your hands and take whatever thing you want but meanwhile never do that for granted because the more you take you try as much as possible to replace it, I that is the best way a shop can grow because the more you take that is how you are draining the business , but if you take and replace that is you are standing the business to grow to another height so starting a business is not a bad idea but to withstand the pressure with family pressure that is if you are not sitting and watch to see the shop going down daily, you have to act to feel the shop when it is actually going down, so I think you should start a food stuffs business.

Everyone here would reply with their own view and not yours, would you first ask yourself what you're good at and what comes off as natural to you which you can offer as a service to others, and secondly what's in demand with respect to your environment. I think you should start with what your target audience would be willing to consume and you can offer it.

My neutral answer would always be agriculture since people would always eat and Gas station since people would always need gas for their cockers and their cars. If you can go long-term comfortably, why not invest into bitcoin, but if you're looking out for something you would be getting short-term dividends from to sustain you, you may look into the two I already mentioned

While I am sure that this will be very very very tough because everyone and their grandmother are doing it, I would say online business with no cost is the way to go. I do not care what the business model is, or the plan is, or projections are. The way that you should be growing would be without spending money on products. If you buy one apple and sell it and buy two apples, you are going to hit a limit and you are not going to make that much money in the end.

But if you do an online business, where you build some app for mobile, or a website or a game for PC players, or basically anything that costs you zero, and can be sold to a million people even when you are asleep, then it means there is something you are doing right, and I would say this would be the best way to move forward.

I used to be a sewer, so I like to set up a garment business. This is the kind of business that will never fade because people love to dress. The only competition is the imported apparel that is sold on online stores, but since I will set up my own physical stores, people can walk in, so they can choose and get it right away, instead of waiting to be delivered, as they do on online stores.
So garment is my dream business, and hopefully I will have the needed funds to set one up.

Try to find the lack of the place where you will do business, what people are missing or what product or service will improve the quality of life of people or make life easier. I know a guy, he was bored and so began his pressure washing driveway services in 2023. His own driveway looked terrible. Currently he is generating more income per month than most junior developers do. But, it seems most people will not do anyway. And that really speaks for our economy more than any macro analysis.

The real structural opportunity right now is that AI is rearranging the entire service economy. However, the majority of people, particularly most small business owners, are paralyzed by it or are simply pretending that it doesn't apply to them. If there's somebody who can fix that locally, informally, it's a business, whether it's called consulting or just learning how to use their tools.

I think I agree with you because that creativity and innovation  both of them work together snd they play a very big role in business most especially for that business to be successful and talking about successful business many people dont just jump into business just like that so many strong businesses standing today actually started from simply noticing what people struggle with and offering a better or easier solution so know what people are into before setting up a business matters. In this current economy, I would focus on business that solves everyday problems rather than businesses that depend heavily on people having extra to spend. No matter how tough the economy gets, people still need food, housing, transportation and healthcare.

If I’m starting a business today, I would just start something related to agriculture or food processing. The reason is simple because the demand remains relatively stable even during economic downturns. For example, people may postpone buying luxury items but they can not postpone eating.

I have also noticed that many successful small businesses are not necessarily the most profitable or glamorous ones, sometimes a business that consistently solves local problems can generate more reliable income than the business that is trending with a lot of hype around it. So the most important question is not what business is popular but what can I solve profitably and consistently that is the best opportunities are found

It is true that the secret behind a successful business is that the business should solve a problem of a group of people who are looking for a solution and aren't able to find the solution to that thing, or if you are going to start a business that you already know others are doing before you, then you will obviously need to bring some innovation in your business so that you can attract more customers and stay ahead from your competitors because if you are providing the same products or services as others, customers will only prefer you if you are doing it differently.

The boring businesses are the most profitable ones.
Mowing, cleaning toilets, cleaning sewers, windows, carwash, you get what I mean.
They're not going to require you that much capital and you can start it on your own, as your main employee.
It's a skilled job and profitable if you find the right clients. But you don't have to force yourself if you can't do it.
The best business on any type of economy is the one that you know the sides of it. If you're new, be prepared for the worst of it.
Because that's how you'll learn to be a good businessman and it will teach you a lot.
