I think you should take advice from the person who is living in your area because area to area market demand and supply differs and if we want to be successful to start a business and successful run that business for long term.  In my area there is high demand of pizza because people love to eat pizza and burger and there is less competition and person should try to open business of pizza and burger and it will be hit on that area but in your area situation Could be different because market demand and supply is different and you should start business according to market situation. Coffee business is also profitable but you should take a place on rent and you should learn work which is important to start any business.

This is why some business minded people start a business and close down less than a month, because they don't do market research and what is in demand from there area location. You are going to see a person set up a business because he saw the business doing well in another place, even if the business is standard and I'm offered a franchise in my location, if people are not going to be demanding that product, in not going to sell that Franchise.

There is something that kills business too, you can have business that is good, very demanding and people will like like but economy can make you regret starting the business. It's simple for me, anything that's related to delivery. If I have my own bike, I'll be part of the food delivery app and will earn decently from it. While it requires me physically, it's not going to require me to put too much pressure on managing it. And I can do it at my freest time without having to deal with the risk aside from being on the road. This is the type of business that I can consider of doing it myself because others think that you have to put up a brick and mortar business to call it per se. Actually, not all require to be in that description.

While I am sure that this will be very very very tough because everyone and their grandmother are doing it, I would say online business with no cost is the way to go. I do not care what the business model is, or the plan is, or projections are. The way that you should be growing would be without spending money on products. If you buy one apple and sell it and buy two apples, you are going to hit a limit and you are not going to make that much money in the end.

But if you do an online business, where you build some app for mobile, or a website or a game for PC players, or basically anything that costs you zero, and can be sold to a million people even when you are asleep, then it means there is something you are doing right, and I would say this would be the best way to move forward.

I think what business someone starts should be the one your economy favors. like in my country I won't even advise anyone to go into restaurant business, because inflation is high and prices of food also. So people in my country rather buy groceries to Cook and save up than spend money eating out which won't even satisfy them a bit. Purchase power is getting weaker here. But I can say someone can go into food processing or a groceries business because people must eat no matter how hard things are. Others that are also good are Barbing, hair dressing, E commerce (mostly business that offers services to are good). With so many things to consider, there are also many ways that can be done as you said, one of which is by asking opinions from people around us, because it can be a consideration again even though on the other hand we are actually ready to start a business, sometimes there are small things that are forgotten but have a big impact and sometimes we realize it when we get advice from others.

Market analysis is something that must be done by business people because it is the target of their consumers, most people fail they cannot read the market or just follow along without knowing where they should sell their products so that only losses are obtained.
 
I think doing business relying on trends is also not a problem as long as you can maximize profits and you know how long it is likely that the trend will start to decline so that you can get out of the market faster so as not to have losses.
