There was a story my sister told me about recently this week which, if I may say kept me wondering how some gamblers actually think and to my conclusion I really think it is scary at a high risk.....Just to keep it brief according to her, she said a friend of hers was given a huge amount of money to hold which was supposed to be a token to someone who was getting married, but then he went on using the entire money to gamble and hopefully he won which was out of luck. So yeah he got a good profit out of a very high risk but still, the funny part of it all is when he gambled again with all the profits he made that was how he lost everything. Hopefully he didn't lose the money that was handed to him .so that leads to my first question what are the chances of getting carried away as a gambler?.......

Basically I believe temptation is one thing, addiction is another, and overall, being disciplined is what every gambler should ensure to maintain. Because risking money that isn't yours would indeed cause you issues along the way e.g., getting depressed and so on. That said knowing that you can never really 100% certainly analyze your predictions should be a limit to your mind as to how you get funds and how you would gamble with no guarantee if you would make a profit or a loss. To me I see this as an irrational decision that is highly not worth it as a gambler.Well that's all.........
So my second question is, is it really compulsory as a gambler to take a high risk by gambling with money that isn't yours
? .....

There is nothing like temptation in gambling; if you are not disciplined, you are not. People should learn to hold themselves responsible and practice changing their behavior to never repeat certain decisions in gambling and later call them temptations.

Gambling is very risky, and every gambler is aware of this but still chooses to take the risk. If one finds it difficult not to gamble with money that is very important but cannot resist the urge and ends up gambling and winning, the ideal thing is to go home with the profit and come back another time, rather than trying to make more money from the win.

So my second question is, is it really compulsory as a gambler to take a high risk by gambling with money that isn't yours? .....
I think this is what that should be answered because it is the most important part of the question. It is very bad for someone to gamble with the money that it is not his and it is also bad for anyone to gamble with borrowed money. The last is that it is very bad for someone to gamble with the money he can not afford to lose. The consequences is far worse if the person lost the money.

Getting carried away as a gambler is pretty easy.
It starts with a few wins and then you slowly lose control without noticing.

Gambling with money that is not yours is just a bad idea because it removes discipline and adds pressure on top of risky decisions.

That's another kind of stupidity, you are gambling with someone else's money, and the money is supposed to be a wedding gift. It's not just about putting money at risk, ha ha it's about emotions. If he loses, he can ruin their wedding. Somehow, he has some experience and saved the original amount, and he came out ahead, but he is a little more disciplined than he must be, leaving with a profit.

I will end this story by saying, never gamble with such money, you will ruin trust and cause a loss for someone. You will lose the money that you may need to return to its owner, and second, you will lose trust as well. So, it is better to gamble only with money that is spare from any kind of obligations, so if you lose, you were not be that much in financial problems.

It is not easy for me because I will prefer to hodl most important part of my money. After leaving most in bitcoin, it is just very small part that I will use to gamble but I will not spend more than it. I do not know how some people are controlled by emotions which they supposed to be a master of.

Gambling with money that is not yours is just a bad idea because it removes discipline and adds pressure on top of risky decisions.
It is foolishness of the highest level.

so that leads to my first question what are the chances of getting carried away as a gambler?.......
I think there should be a distinction between a ordinary and casual gambler to a addicted one. What you describe is obviously, someone who are already addicted and so that person doesn't have control of his mind. The moment he touches money, all he thinks is gambling.

But for a average gambler, I don't think that he will do that. His decision are not clouded and he thinks rational. Specially that money is not his in the first place as he was trusted by someone and for sure he won't go and gamble it as he doesn't want to break the trust.

So in that scenario that you describe, for someone that is addicted, that temptation is there and 10 out of 10, he will do that, unfortunately.

An addict might get the temptation to do such things, but it is immoral because how can we take risk with someone's money without their consent and that too by gambling?

Even if the person won, the act is nothing but stealing someone's money and legal action should be taken against that person.

And why do people give access to money just like that? Write the check to the person you are giving it to not just hand over the cash, which is always risky.

When you’re always getting carried away with immediate success you will eventually get carried away with the inevitable and winning is always something you should control yourself about, because there are times you will not be successful enough, and there times you will and you will also loose some, but it’s always important to be more focused, so the chances of getting carried away when you are having a successful time and winning games are more higher than we can even imagine,

It is very easy to get money in gambling; there is no certainty of winning in gambling. Moreover, in most cases, gamblers are addicted to gambling. If someone can control themselves, it is good, but if they lose control, the gambler will lose everything. A healthy person will never bet on gambling with the others money. Because there is no guarantee of winning in gambling. I believe that those who bet with other people's money are definitely not in a normal state. They are addicted to gambling or they try to bet with such money in order to recover losses.

.so that leads to my first question what are the chances of getting carried away as a gambler?.......
The chances of getting carried away will always be there if you treat gambling as a means of making money, or when you are trying to win back what you have already lost, because at that point nothing will really matters again, since he will be making an emotional decisions.

So my second question is, is it really compulsory as a gambler to take a high risk by gambling with money that isn't yours
? .....
Gambling with a money that is not yours is a high level of irresponsibility, because even though you have money today, you will only gamble with what you can afford to lose, but gambling with someone money is too bad, because it is a money he or she can't afford to lose.

A responsible person would never take money that doesn't belong to him or her to gamble, even if the person has 90% to 100% chance of winning the game.

I know that, people can get tempted at times into using money that is not theirs to gamble just because the game look too certain or they are passing through dedicult times.

Imo, gambling with money that doesn't belong  to you  is not appropriate , gamblers should only gamble with their own money, not with someone else money or money that belong to a group of people.

And as the matter of fact, only those who are deeply addicted to gambling can behave in this manner your sister's friend did and I don't encourage such behavior.

From the story, it's obviously that your sisters friend doesn't keep principles to himself and he doesn't seem to be trusted with fund's for this very cause.
As for your question, the chances of getting carried away can be as a result of already being addicted and you can't control your emotions to resist the urge temptations that whenever you get reach to funds, you wouldn't even care the essence of the funds but will ignorantly have to gamble with it just like that of your sisters friend.
It's mostly appeared that you've seen an opportunity that's seem promising and feels like you'll be lucky with the expectations of doubling the fund's.

There's no point gambling with money that doesn't belong to you, even if you are passing through hard times. People should know the money they are no supposed to gamble with, there are money you are not suppose to gamble with, e.g money meant for your basic needs and expenses or money that doesn't belong to you and so on. Gamble only when you have the money, and it should be an amount you can comfortably afford to lose to avoid chasing after your losses.

You are not far from the truth, its very easy for one to get carried away from gambling, and this is not what one can learn from others, they can get carried away by themselves without even putting more effort to it, like you said, playing the game with the money that is not theirs will easily make them to lose control and patience, as they will start to apply pressure in it, to make sure they recover and replace the money they have lose, that is not theirs. That's why gamblers are to bet the game with their money money.

No matter how addicted I am, I wouldn't be tempted to gamble with money that isn't mine, especially if that money is meant for something else. That's just pure stupidity. Not only will people stop trusting you, but you could also end up in jail.

If I'm not mistaken, there have been several incidents like this in our country, and some of them even made it to the news. I believe there's also a thread about it here.

I don't understand how others can even think of using money that isn't theirs. Their greed is on another level. They simply don't know their limits.

It is very wrong for a gambler to gamble with the money that isn't thiers, reason been that there's no certainty of wining if you bet with loan money or money that does not belongs to the gambler. As a gambler it's advised to only gamble with your own personal money, while doing that you also need to make sure that it is what you can afford to lose because betting with what you can't afford is always problematic, when you loss the money you start panicking after that you start chasing after losses and before you realize what you're doing by then you must have become addicted to gamble.

so that leads to my first question what are the chances of getting carried away as a gambler?.......
There are many gamblers who started out with plans to be very disciplined in gambling but along the way they became carried away by activities and by the fun in it and then they forgot the discipline that they plan to practice and the principles they ones set for themselves. It can happen to any gambler, in fact it is what has happened to most gamblers who have found themselves addicted because not every gambler plans to become addicted, many of them started with plans to remain responsible in gambling but along the way they became carried away.

I don't like when gamblers intentionally use the excuse of being carried away, when they know that they could get arrest or lynched for using money that isn't theirs to gamble and ultimately lose it all.
It shows lack of accountability, lack of character and such a one is probably a hooligan who thinks they can do whatever they like and get away with it.
Discipline is the ultimate form of self respect and when a gambler has this as a badge, they won't gamble away funds meant for other uses or ignore more pressing needs.
Desperation is more precise definition of such careless character and even though addiction has a role to play, the greed for more money leads to this kind of behavior.

Your last question from my personal point of view I very unnecessarily became with common sense it answerable to a large extent but however, from the story the guy himself might be considered foolish for his act but however I also want to believe that he was a very smart guy for not touching the capital what was given to him instead he only risked the extra he had made from the first risk was convincing enough and then came through.

For the chance of a gambler to get carried away is as easy as him even attempting to gamble at first, once he agrees to gamble he is at risk of gambling anything because he is vulnerable at that point.
