I was wrong about crime, although volatility scares me

One thing I have come to understand about the opinion of people that don't understand Bitcoin is that they always tend to talk negative and down on it to make themselves feel better for being ignorant and that should not be our reason too. As for the volatility, that shouldn't be a big problem unless you trade on Bitcoin, but as for an investor it doesn't disrupt my end goal.

Even as a trader, volatility isn't a problem, because without volatility, there is no trading because there is no profits. Those who are into cryptocurrencies and specifically if they are into trading, they would understand the importance of volatility, because in times when the market becomes stable or goes sideways, traders are the ones who stay restless because they can't make any profit from such a market, they need movement, and if the market is stable, they just keep waiting until there is a movement so that they can act as well.

For investors, of course short-term volatility doesn't matter, because they just buy and hold and wait for a better price. But, overall, volatility is not a bad thing, and anyone with enough knowledge would understand this. If there was no volatility in the market to begin with, we wouldn't be where we are today with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, because it is volatility that have boosted adoption to the level where it is today, if Bitcoin had no movement from the beginning, we wouldn't have so many people and institutions interested in it.

Op says he is scared of volatility, that is something that he must address so he does not end up panicking and becoming a weak hand. What I see is that, op is still yet to understand Bitcoin, although he is gradually conquering his fears about Bitcoin. First, the fear of it being used by criminals has been conquered, if he understands that volatility is still a feature of bitcoin and that he could actually use volatility to his own advantage, he will no longer be scared of it. The fear of volatility should not be overlooked, I recommend that everyone who panick anytime the price of bitcoin fluctuates, should look for ways to embrace that particular aspect of Bitcoin. They can choose to always accumulate bitcoins whenever bitcoin dips.

spot on, tools don't have morals n that, it's all down to how u wield 'em. getting rattled by those tg scams or a sudden price dump is totally normal when u're first starting out since it proper puts the fear up u. long as u zoom out and look at the bigger picture, all that short-term chop stops being such a headache.

Morals is possessed by a tool user. Scams has come to stay and what tool they choose to use depends on which is most convenient for them. As a beginner I expect they understand a handful of information about whatever they choose to venture into (in our case here Bitcoin) before embarking to avoid being worried about scams because the goal is to stay conscious of their existence and try as much as we can to stay ahead of our games so we don't get swayed by their tactics or plots.

Don't have to blame them, Bitcoin carries a big name and if anything happens around it people magnifies it, but that's actually wrong when people make such judgement without a proper validation. Is ok,  let's not assume that everyone else is as knowledgeable as you are, it is their own mistake out of ignorance and negligence to have a wrong perception of Bitcoin. What more can we say? As far as their negative thoughts about Bitcoin doesn't stop Bitcoin growth because others know the truth, we absolutely have nothing to worry about maybe with time they will get to know the truth and change their mindsets.

Still holding on to the believe that bitcoin is bad just because by it nature, it can be abuse shows how biased people can be with things that they don't subscribe to. Is there a thing that we are using that can not be abused if gotten into the wrong hands? money can be abuse and even as a small as freedom of speech is, it can be abused and that goes to show that there is nothing that can not be abused and that a thing can be used for the wrong reason does not mean that it good side should be ignored.

It even get worse when the situation is that the government and some security agencies are the ones that holds this kind of bias and abuse young guys that earns their bitcoin legitimately just because they don't have proper understanding that if bitcoin can be used by thief's, fiat can equally be used for same purpose.

That was the falsehood sponsored by the authorities and governments when they hunted Bitcoin until it dawned on them they were fighting a lost battle. Kidnapping, money laundering and all the illegal activities they claimed the creation of Bitcoin facilitated have existed well before 2009 when Bitcoin and cryptocurrency was born.

People are wiser now, until now those ideas were spread with the intent of influencing people to keep their distance from Bitcoin, but the truth can never be hidden and much more people can tell that oceans don't so much divide the world as unites it.

Well thank God you that, you have learnt your mistake concerning and changed your view concerning bitcoin, because is was not created for for the purpose of money laundering. Bitcoin was created to solving a problem that the world financially system was having, and that is the problem of control of your finances.With bitcoin was created to give privacy and give people control over their money.

Talking about volatility, there is no need for concern for any course because volatility is part of bitcoin. And is one very important factor that defines bitcoin, every bitcoinner knows that volatility even work for the good of every investor, when it comes to profit generation. There is no room to fear fear because fear is one thing that should be fought against when it comes to bitcoin.

From the historical point of view bitcoin has always retraced back , no matter how low it has gone down due to the effect of volatility.
