It depends entirely on how you view gambling and what impact it has on your life. Some people will spend thousands of dollars on a pokemon card, then lock it away rarely to see the light of day again. The price may go up or it may crater. Why should we care what anyone else considers a fun way to spend their money if it's not harming anyone else? If you work hard for your money, understand the value of it and want to spend a small portion of it gambling, that is perfectly ok. Sometimes the reason we some gamblers don't recognize they are losing is majorly because they refused to accept the fact that they are  making loss and you don't expect someone who doesn't acknowledge the fact that they are making loss to take total control of the market. I have not really experienced this before because I ensure to use what I can afford to lose and also know when I have gotten to my limit and I also know that exceeding that limit will have a negative impact on me.

A lot of people have experienced what you described in your post. Using up your budgeted funds and instead of putting a stop to it and head home, you'll go ahead to use up funds meant for something else. It's a tale that has been told countless times already and sadly, will likely keep being told.
When logic goes out the window and we're being led by emotions in gambling, we tend to make regrettable decisions that we'll later wish we hadn't made. As well as losing out on your valuable time, you'll be hurt in the pocket as well.

I do believe most gamblers experienced it, not even once but some gamblers may experience it several times and the worse case is once a gambler become addicted, the experience is repeated again and again.

We often make stupid decisions in gambling when we're emotional because of losing. Even when we're winning, sometimes we also make stupid decisions. 
At certain moments, we forget to enjoy gambling. What happens is we get too excited and focused on making money. Even though I know our goal is indeed to make money from betting, not buying the game. But we shouldn't make mistakes like that too often.

This has happened to me many times. I think most gamblers have been in this situation. In the initial stages of gambling, our expectations of winning are high. We are not very familiar with the reality that we can lose in gambling. Gradually, the size of our losses increases. We are losing in gambling but cannot realize that we need to stop gambling. The reason why we cannot stop gambling is because losing means gambling more in the hope of recovering.

This is a very challenging time for gamblers because they cannot stop gambling despite trying to gain mental strength at that time because they have already lost a lot.

We all experienced this, and the root cause is our greed and pride. We can't accept that we lost the funds that we have won, and the adrenaline is still there for us to recover our losses, but unfortunately,, every bet is different from one another, and it's too late for us to realize that we are so stupid to keep going.

Sometimes 'hope' can be dangerous, people who hope that their next bet is going to give them that one big win that will solve every financial problem and get rich or atleast they just want to recover the loss that happened on that day.

Yes, it is stupid not to take the risk tolerance into account but the very basic thing they can do is not deposit if they are not ready to lose it entirely.
