Since then, I've been acting much more responsibly. I only place small bets and avoid exposing myself to large losses. And I can say that I've managed to stay profitable nothing huge, but still profitable. So sometimes there are losses that actually make us wiser.

there is nothing strange about this and certainly, every gambler has already experienced this and still continues to play because the end goal is to win and when you are not winning, you still want to continue playing with the hope that you will still win the long run. you are not stupid just because you have lost. you are likely stupid because you think that by chasing your loss you have a better chance of winning even more.

Some people will just be hurting themselves, thinking they are hurting others, because selling of their properties for gambling, that's not part of the game again, that's drowning. They are destroying their lives, building steps to be broke in life and when that happen, gambling will continue to remain, it won't crash because of some set of stupid people, the rules are clear, gambling is not a game of where one can make money out of it without the help of luck, but its a game of fun and entertainment and play the game with what they can afford and not by selling off their property just to fit in, but one thing is for sure, whether we call it stupid or mad, they will still face the consequences of their action.

Yeah, that can happen very often if we don't have good self control or set a budget for gambling. It happened to me before, instead of withdraw some of my winnings I kept gambling until I lost it all and then I felt regret. In that situation, my mind kept telling me that I should recover what I had lost but then after losing even more money I realized that I was just doing something useless and wasting more money and time.
