As a Beginner: Which Coin Should Everyone Hold?

As a beginner, I'm leaning towards starting with BTC too.

That sounds good, I hope you won't relent in doing so, as the market is providing you with the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin at a discount price.

I will advise you to focus your mind on long term, not the short term, just in case Bitcoin depreciates more than you expected. Visualize the whole market scenario as an opportunity to buy more Bitcoin through DCA. Don't forget to always do that with your spare money

If you have enough money you can put in more than half if your capital into Bitcoin n less than 0% into altcoins like ethereuem, xpr or near, this are the only altcoins that you should risk low amount of your capital into, but your main portfolio when it comes to crypto should  focused on Bitcoin in other to lower your risks in the end.

IMO, gone is the moment that we'd see skyrocketing of the altcoins that has good use cases.

The perfect choice always is Bitcoin and OP sees why everyone is telling him that he should buy that.

Although the decision is still on him but you are seeing why each of us tells you to buy that with all of the elements that you're looking for.

Bitcoin (BTC) should be the first one, but since we're in the altcoins section, that isn't the right answer. As someone who has been in the industry for about seven years, I suggest you go to large-cap coins or tokens, such as Ethereum (ETH), BNB (BNB), or Solana (SOL). When you feel those coins aren't worth it because their potential price appreciation isn't significant, you can look at coins or tokens in the same category with lower market capitalization.

If it is long term, consider holding bitcoin...
Apart from bitcoin, some of the top 10 coins can still give you what you want in the long run. Like;
Ethereum; but I don't fully recommend this,
BNB is good,
Sol,
Xrp,
Are good options to hold in a long term bases.
But if you do not have alot of experience, go for bitcoin because it's on a discount now.

Unfortunately that is the case, however if in this bearish season solana could go below $20 again I personally think that would become a good buy.
Unless such massive bearish season is happening for altcoins, the first choice for a beginner should always be bitcoin because it is considered a safer buy compared to altcoin that able to dip 50% in just one night.

As a newbie, why do you care so many about everyone when you are looking for a good coin for people to buy and hold.
We all have our different choices and looking for a good coin for everyone is something we need to think about if actually people would want to hold the coin. There are so many altcoins in the market and there are more of bad projects than the good ones that are available with a low chances of investors getting rich quickly.
