Hello everyone,

I am opening sales for The Reliquary, the inaugural release in my Relics of Custody series.

The Reliquary is a hand-cast, hand-finished 2 Troy oz .999 fine silver piece designed in a Gothic reliquary style. Each piece has been built as a Bitcoin wallet through Caribbean Treasures, whose physical Bitcoin and loaded wallet builds are already known in the collector space.

Each Reliquary is also stamped with the Caribbean Treasures maker’s mark, tying the wallet build directly to the physical piece.

All 21 pieces have already been cast, finished, stamped, and prepared as wallet pieces.

Each piece will be funded with 250,000 sats after the buyer receives the piece and confirms that it is safely in hand.

This funding method is being used as a precaution so that no funded physical Bitcoin piece is placed at risk in transit.

The record card will note the piece name, series, serial number, metal, weight, artist, wallet build, funding amount, and year. It is intended as a provenance record for the piece rather than a traditional third-party COA.

Wallet build / trust model

Each Reliquary is also stamped with the Caribbean Treasures wallet maker’s mark, tying the wallet build directly to the physical piece.

Caribbean Treasures has been involved with Bitcoin since 2012, has been making physical Bitcoin pieces for himself since 2014, and made his first custom piece in 2015. His experience with physical Bitcoin pieces is a major reason I chose to work with him for this release.

Keys are generated offline on an air-gapped computer by Caribbean Treasures. I do not handle or have access to the private keys.

The pieces will not be funded before shipment. Once the buyer receives the piece and confirms that it is safely in hand, that serial’s wallet will be funded with 250,000 sats.

Wallet details and public address information will be provided privately to the buyer. Funding confirmation and transaction information will also be provided once the wallet is funded.

Price

Price is $550 which includes USPS Priority shipping within the U.S.

Additional services such as signature confirmation or additional insurance can be added at the buyer’s expense.

Buyer selects shipping options. Tracking will be required. Insurance, signature confirmation, and any additional shipping services are at the buyer’s discretion and cost, though insurance and signature confirmation are strongly recommended.

Escrow

Trusted forum escrow is welcome.

Escrow fees can be discussed between buyer, seller, and escrow provider.

If escrow is used, the exact process can be agreed upon with the escrow provider so that payment, delivery confirmation, and wallet funding are handled clearly.

Serial numbers are first come, first served. Please post your desired serial number in the thread and send me a PM to confirm payment and shipping details.

A serial is not considered sold until payment has been received.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

For this release, all the plans were already locked in before launch, so The Reliquary will only be offered in its current wallet-built format.

That said, based on the feedback I’ve received, I will more than likely offer DIY/unfunded options with future releases. I can definitely understand the appeal for collectors who prefer to handle the wallet side themselves.

I received mine - looks nice and has a nice heft due to being 2 oz that huge blank spot in the back is the only thing I dont like - I might use the laser and put something there - I dont really like the idea of making changes to someone's piece but that space is screaming to be used lol

nice work on the piece - it definetly is up to par with images I have seen of your work in the past.

I intentionally left the back clean so it wouldn’t compete with or take focus away from the front design. I also thought the open space could give buyers the option to add a personal engraving if they ever felt like making their piece more individual.

That’s a very fitting place for it. I’ve always seen skulls less as symbols of death itself and more as symbols of conquering death. Something enduring beyond what was supposed to be the end. With that in mind, having The Reliquary beneath Bitcoin Obituaries feels especially appropriate.
