Are you saying you invested $500 in bitcoin and now your capital has turned to zero? That is not possible. Which wallet is that? Or there is something that you are not getting right about the wallet. Bitcoin has only gone down 50% from its all time high.

Many people are losing right now, but it is unrealized losses that will still later become profit.

I don't know about you but personally I don't scam other people as a way to get my lost money by my stupid mistakes.

In history, there are forum VIP members and donators who had a lot of bitcoins in the past changed to become scammers. It could possibly be triggered by their bitcoin losses, and they wanted to get bitcoins again while the easiest way to have a lot of bitcoins in short time is scamming other people.

From your explanation I can tell that you have invested into a pump and dump coin, I have never seen anywhere you mentioned Bitcoin, which means you never invested in Bitcoin. Bitcoin has never fell to zero because it's only a Cain that has been liquidated and has no market cap that can fall to zero, and Bitcoin has never fall to zero. It is obvious that you invented in a wrong coin and thinking it's Bitcoin. When they said buy the dip, they never meant to by shitcoin they mean buy Bitcoin and hold. There are many shitcoin in this space and you can't generalized all to be same.

You must have done something wrong, I hope you did some research before buying Bitcoin? Your post is very confusing and I am just trying to understand what's going on.

I hope this is not the case of you choosing a wrong Bitcoin wallet? So start by telling us the name of your Bitcoin wallet first, because I am lost with your balance showing zero, and this isn't the case before? I will definitely want to know the name of your Bitcoin wallet.
You crying out that you have lost so much is also revealing alot about you, it shows that you don't know what you are getting into, who forced you to invest in Bitcoin? Or what is the reason behind It?

You don't lose anything if all your invested on is Bitcoin, volatility is not that bad like you think, buying the dip means you are getting better amount of Bitcoin for cheap price, my advice for you is to avoid investment if you haven't understand Bitcoin very well. There's a fundamental difference between losing coins and losing value. Depositing to centralized entity essentially means you no longer own your coins; instead, you're simply given a record of the investment value in $ or BTC, which sometimes doesn't reflect the actual value.

I don't know what coins you invested in, but try withdrawing them to see if you still have any hope of not losing them.

Impossible to guess it like that but yes if you can't verify that you still have your coins then it means you have lost them. If you lost them, you can buy more coins to make up for it but before you do, you should probably do your research and find out how you lost your initial stash in the first place so you won't repeat your mistake. Otherwise you'll start a chain reaction and lose your newly bought coins one more time. Then one more time. You'll be losing thousands of dollars before you know it.

It's impossible that your capital turned to 0 unless you put that money into the hands of a third part scam company that tells you that they will help you buy and hold Bitcoin.

What you chose to store your Bitcoin doesn't sound like a Bitcoin wallet but an investment app, do you have your recovery seed or private key? I bet you don't.

You cannot lose all your assets if you have invested in Bitcoin. You will lose everything if Bitcoin price gets to zero, which is not the case now. So I doubt if you are telling the truth. The value might depreciate due to volatility, but it will never reach zero unless your wallet is hacked and you lose all your assets. Maybe you have to check whether you really bought Bitcoin, because people have been scammed into buying some shitcoins instead. Which wallet are you using? You should also check if your wallet has been compromised.

I don't think you're holding. If you lost your Bitcoin as you claimed in your OP, then it's either you were hacked or you were trading.

If you were holding, what will reduce but not completely zero is your dollar balance and not your Bitcoin balance. So get your story straight and come back. If it's something that can be helped, then I believe you'll receive the appropriate help you need here in the forum.

Did you touch your coins? Because if you didn't then I don't know how you will lose it. Maybe what you are seeing is that the amount of your coins in fiat is going down because the price of almost every coin right now is on a downward spiral.

It will only turn to zero if the coins literally goes to zero as well, like those shitcoins. But if you are into solid coins, then I doubt that it will go down to zero.

There's no actual losses occur, unless you already surrender and sold those coins you bought. But if you didn't decide to sell and still keeping the balance you bought at high price then the situation you experience is just paper loss.

But base on your reaction it seems that you don't know what to do next with current situation you encountered. What can I advice at this point if you want to proceed then follow that suggestion to keep buying Bitcoin, since who knows maybe the next phase will be the price recovery. If you try to liquidate and it happen market start to recover then for sure that you might going to regret those decision to sold your Bitcoin because you are panicking on bearish situation.

That part of your post is confusing. If you bought $500 worth of Bitcoin, of course your balance value will be there; except your account was hacked and what you've moved out.

If you were referring to buying a certain alt with that amount and can't find the value, what that simply means is that it has dumped beyond fiat value as liquidity on the token may have even been removed. Since it's spot trading, you still haven't lost anything despite the value being ridiculously low. You only lose on spot trading when you sell, not when value is low or seems dead.

What happened to you is not something difficult to know, but being that you are a nearby and don't really have much experience, you may find it difficult as to why you are having a zero balance on your wallet.

I would like to ask you some few questions as follows.

1. Did someone create your wallet for you?
2. Are you using a custodial or non-custodial wallet?
3. Is the amount you are having in your wallet up to $50 or above?
4. When did you make your deposit into your wallet last?

If you can give an answer to some of these questions, then we could probably know why you are having zero balance, but on a normal day, they shouldn't be anything wrong with your bitcoin on your wallet as long as you don't create even a vulnerability for scammers to attack you.

This particular part was giving me an intuition that OP didn’t buy on spot but possibly is trading either of the feature most especially with the statement that “the $500 couldn’t sustain the time frame”. If he had bought bitcoin that coin would have been there and even if the pair value with fiat actually drops that big worst would have been the fiat conversion wouldn’t be there again rather it would be his bitcoin value because 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin.

As for probably pump and dump coins then it depends it would have been that the coin was actually delisted from the exchange and can never be seen again, because even if the coin runs to zero too and hasn’t been delisted it would have actually still have the coin in the exchange.

The most realistic scenario is that the coin has been moved out of his wallet either through compromization or anything. Or probably OP is just bluffing

In the crypto world, it is very important to differentiate between the number of coins and the fiat value. In your case, the ratio or unit value of your crypto coins is still displayed, but the problem lies in the current market price of the coins. If the crypto market crashes or the project loses liquidity, the equity value on the screen will show $0 (no current purchasing power), but the physical coins remain in your wallet. I suspect you have invested in Shitcoin or something similar that is very easily manipulated by developers, the risk of loss is much greater if you invest in coins like this. This is why it is very important to equip yourself with knowledge before making an investment decision, at least so you can differentiate Bitcoin from junk coins that are liquidated and do not have a strong market capitalization.

You are already a member rank, you can back this up with image from your wallet balance to make it easy for understand and to also have the opportunity to help you because this whole story is confusing.

When did you buy Bitcoin and how long did you hold the Bitcoin? If you really buy Bitcoin and hold it in the right place, this your $500 will still be there, it can either increase or decrease due to market fluctuations, but saying you have zero balance is not possible except if the wallet is been hacked, and if you are using exchange, maybe the exchange has been hacked, but if everything is fine and you are in control of your wallet, then the Bitcoin will still be there.

Op post is really confusing to me, because how can someone invest in bitcoin and just because the price is going down the bitcoin in the wallet will vanish and become zero? That is impossible, just as you said maybe he invested in another coin that is not bitcoin or a pump and dump coin, i have seen many people making same mistake by buying another coin and thought it was bitcoin they bought, not knowing that they invested in a wrong coin.

Can you make it clear where you brought it and where are currently holding your bitcoin. Maybe you wallet is old or maybe you brought fake BTC. Give us some more details so that we can help you. Bitcoin shouldn't show zero balance if it's not transferred to another wallet.
