You spoke well Op, But I would say scarcity is not really choosing country. Down from Ghana to Nigerian to US, everyone are feeling it due the cost of living has raise in everywhere. Why did I say so ? This because even allot of countries that we think has money still have street people and also beggars around.

So Personally I think the solution it not only for the government, for them should create surplus to do well oh, but individuals too have to play their own very part too by adjusting, learning how to invest and also learning of skill is very important.

This Scarcity of a thing it global but would say suffering it a choice. Why because allot of hustlers and planners outside there survives all this better than an average one waiting for a change to come meet not chasing it.

Many times the problem is actually more related to the proper management and distribution of resources than to their scarcity. Increasing production is certainly important but if those resources are limited to certain places or groups then there will not be much change in the lives of the common people. In many countries it is seen that there are products in the market, but the prices are so high that the common people cannot easily buy them. Equal importance should be given not only to increasing resources but also to reducing waste controlling corruption and delivering benefits to the people according to their needs. I agree that scarcity is not only one country problem, it is everywhere in different level. Even rich countries still have homeless people, beggars and people struggling to pay rent or buy basic things. So it is not correct to say scarcity only exist in poor countries.

But imo the main issue is not always that resources are not enough. Sometimes the resources are there, but bad management, corruption, inflation and poor distribution make it hard for common people to benefit from it. A country can have food, oil, minerals or money, but if only few people control everything, the majority will still suffer.

Government has a big role to play by creating more jobs, reducing waste, fighting corruption and making basic things affordable. But individuals also need to adapt, learn skills and not only wait for government to fix everything.

So yes scarcity is global, but the way people feel it is different. In some countries it is just high cost of living, while in others it becomes real hunger and survival. That is why both good leadership and personal effort are needed.

Certain level of lack is a function of individual choices and not always a result of a failed government or system. in every nation regardless the level of circulation of wealth, the poor will be a part of that society some of which have tested wealth and made a mess of it because of the weakness in their decision making process. government decisions and policies act as a catalyst that propels your own decisions or destroys your decision. no country is void of the system that is experienced by the developing countries regardless how they are being looked at including the supposed world power.

The rich and the poor will always exist, even if a country has a very strong economy.
This is not limited to the African continent; even though I have never traveled outside my own country, I can see how nearly every country experiences shortages that keep the number of beggars and people suffering from hunger high. Street beggars are most visible in capital cities, even in developed nations.
In this regard, a government can only take steps to reduce unemployment, even though achieving 100% welfare is difficult. Utilizing natural resources and improving human resources for their management may be the way to bridge all economic disparities.

It's a pretty basic thought that even a low level of education would solve. There are millions of different products/services/resources out there so referring to the word scarcity without any context is almost meaningless. Bottles of wine in wine producing countries will be cheap and plentiful, yet their neighbors might have high import and sales taxes on those goods which increases their scarcity would be one example. A country in Africa with a minimum monthly wage of $350 might find their staple of rice affordable, yet in a neighboring country a few miles away might have an average salary of $100 and might find rice comparatively expensive. There are plenty of countries and governments doing just fine at managing their economy, so what exactly is your point here?

I don't think that it's not a open secret, every government should provide for their population as means to survived. And it's one indication that if the government is strong, then the country is rich, lots of jobs of its people.

But there are only a couple of countries that got lucky and have that kind of lifestyle. Most of us here, live in a 3rd world or developing country. So it's really hard to get out of it unless the government will not be corrupt and will look on the well being of their people. But that is not the case, that's why we continue to live in poverty and it is only us that can help ourselves to get out of that situation.

Government alone cannot help in solving some of these societal problem, especially when it concerns economy, though majority of the job like creating an enabling environment for business to strive solely depends on the government, but however the private organization too have a role to play, when there is scarcity especially in manufacturing, the private companies are usually the ones that drive the production sector, hence there is a collaboration between both arms, the issue of unemployment will definitely be addressed. Scarcity is when there is limited supply and the demand is high, it is something that is really affecting economic situation of every country, if there is scarcity in a place, the price of the goods that is scarce will be very high due to the limited supply and high demand.

Yes exactly, but having surplus can lead to vandalism in my opinion, even though if there is a good supply from different firms, the price will be cheaper due to competition, while if it is available in excess, the price will drop drastically. The government actually need to find way to make goods available to ease price control for their citizens.

If you consider the socio-economic situation of poor countries, the governments of those countries are corrupt. Or there is a lack of natural resources in those countries. Apart from these two reasons, there are many other reasons for a country to become poor. Ethnic divisions persist for a long time and armed struggle of rebel groups with the government to gain power is an obstacle to the development of some countries.

Refugees are entering developed countries illegally every day for a happy and prosperous life. As a result of choosing risky journeys, those poor refugees are losing their lives on the way.

To eliminate poverty in a country as a whole, the rulers of the country will have to abandon corruption and their main responsibility will be to meet the basic needs of the people. Secondly, to expand the education system to form an educated nation. To ensure maximum use of the limited resources in the country to attract foreign investment. In addition to increasing foreign investment to increase employment, to provide financial benefits to domestic small and big businessmen so that people can improve their financial condition by working in factories.
