What happened:: This member created a thread for a project that uses the name of Ethereum and its logo and even the domain name contains "ethereum-2" to appear trustworthy. It also includes slogans like "No VCs, no foundation, no insiders," and even a GitHub link. It also makes negative claims about Ethereum without showing any real development.
They only provide an unknown EVM network added to users’ wallets. Connecting a wallet to an RPC controlled by this new project poses a security risk, as it could be used for phishing and lead to the theft of wallet assets.
