Hi everyone,

I want to share BlockSight.Live, a free Bitcoin block explorer and real-time Bitcoin network tracker.

https://blocksight.live

BlockSight is built for anyone who wants to explore the Bitcoin blockchain, check Bitcoin transactions, search blocks, look up addresses, follow the mempool and understand current Bitcoin network fees.

You can use BlockSight to search for:

Bitcoin transactions
Transaction ID / TXID lookup
Bitcoin blocks
Block height
Bitcoin addresses
Confirmations
Mempool activity
Network congestion
Bitcoin fee rates
Fee estimation in sats/vB
Recent blocks
Transaction status
On-chain Bitcoin activity

The goal is to make Bitcoin blockchain data easier to read. Many users just want to know simple things like:

Has my Bitcoin transaction been confirmed?
How many confirmations does this transaction have?
What is the current Bitcoin fee?
What fee should I use to send BTC?
Is the Bitcoin mempool congested right now?
What is the latest Bitcoin block?
Can I search a BTC address or TXID?
Why is my Bitcoin transaction still pending?

BlockSight is designed to answer these questions in a clean and simple way.

Current features include:

Free Bitcoin block explorer
Bitcoin transaction search
Bitcoin address lookup
Block search and block height data
Real-time mempool information
Bitcoin network congestion view
Fee estimation in sats/vB
Live Bitcoin blockchain data
Recent block activity
Bitcoin-only interface

BlockSight is completely free to use and does not require registration.

It is focused only on Bitcoin. No altcoins, no tokens, no exchange ads, no unnecessary noise.

The project is still being improved, and feedback from the BitcoinTalk community would be very valuable.

I would especially appreciate feedback on:

Is the Bitcoin transaction search clear enough?
Is the mempool and fee information useful?
What other Bitcoin network data should be added?
What would you improve in the block explorer interface?

Link: https://blocksight.live

Thanks for any feedback, suggestions or constructive criticism.

Is this something you have built from scratch? I'm assuming so since you seem to offer API subscriptions...

But if there is something I would focus on, it would be the interface:

It does not make any sense to me to continue showing the blocks (vertically) when the user is looking for a transaction or an address. They should be horizental, if it's something you want to keep while the address/transaction details just under them.
The fee calculator that's showing on the right of the page also look quite different (not modern) compared to the rest of the UI. I would also try and find another placement for it.

I have also looked for some transactions (from the recently mined blocks) and have noticed that barely any data is showing. No fee values, no "From", no "To", amount is showing as 0. Basically nothing shows with the exception of block height, time and number of confirmations.

I like the website design, it is unique and different from other bitcoin explorers, but it can be slow showing results.
I tested with several Bitcoin addresses and it worked slow, and I even saw a info to wait few seconds before trying to search again.
Showing information and balance for bitcoin addresses should be different, and I don't like it showing on left side.
Fee information is useful, and I like there is small hidden calculator in the right side.

When we click on the wrench icon in the top right, we can see various types of data beneath. Hovering the mouse over Bitcoin Supply, Core Network Metrics, and Halving Countdown displays data in a dropdown fashion. However, the same is not true for the last two icons. I have to click on Monica Metrics and the calculator icon to see what's displayed there.

Additionally, the Core Network Metrics and Monica Metrics dropdowns aren't completely visible. Some of the fields disappear under my desktop taskbar. The right side of the Halving Countdown dropdown is also not visible completely.

BlockSight was built by us from scratch, including the explorer interface, backend and API layer.

The current layout is intentional in the sense that we want users to keep network context visible while looking at transactions, addresses and blocks. That said, we are continuously refining the navigation and presentation as the product matures.

Regarding transaction details, BlockSight is still expanding the way it presents parsed transaction data. Some views currently prioritize confirmation status, block height, time and network context, while additional input/output and fee breakdowns are being improved in the explorer layer.

The goal is to keep the interface clean, Bitcoin-only and useful without overwhelming users with too much raw data at once.

Thanks for checking it.

The design is intentionally different from most Bitcoin explorers. We are trying to keep the live network context visible instead of showing only a static search result.

Regarding speed, some searches can take a few seconds because we are pulling and parsing live Bitcoin data rather than showing only cached results. The temporary wait message is there to prevent repeated searches from overloading the system while the request is still processing.

Address pages and balance presentation are areas we are still refining, especially how much information should be shown immediately and where it should appear on the page.

Glad the fee information and calculator were useful. That is one of the parts we want to make practical for people who check the mempool and fees before sending a transaction.

Good catch.

Some of the panels currently use hover behavior, while others use click behavior because they are more interactive, especially the metrics and calculator sections. We are trying to keep the top-right tools compact without opening too much information at once.

That said, the visibility issue on smaller desktop heights is something we need to handle better. Dropdown panels should remain fully visible inside the viewport and should not be hidden behind the taskbar or overflow off the screen.

The same applies to the Halving Countdown panel. The data is useful, but the positioning needs to stay clean across different screen sizes and resolutions.

I have a two-monitor setup at my current location with extended desktop. My laptop has a 15-inch screen, the additional monitor is 20 inches. The visibility issues are present on both monitors.
Another thing I noticed is that the site is very resource-heavy. I can see my CPU jumping between 65-80% when it's active in my browser. It's nowhere close to that when I close BlockSight's website.

Thanks man for the detailed report.

That is useful information, especially the fact that the visibility issue happens on both screen sizes. We will look into the dropdown positioning across different viewport heights and monitor setups.

The CPU usage point is also important. BlockSight uses real-time visual elements and live network updates, but it should still remain lightweight enough for normal browsing. We are already reviewing performance and resource usage so the site can run more smoothly while staying active in the browser.
