What SoloLuck is

SoloLuck is a public true-solo Bitcoin mining pool.

You mine using your own Bitcoin address as the username. There is no pool account, internal balance, payout threshold, proportional payout, or withdrawal process.

If one of your miners produces a valid Bitcoin block:

  • The block subsidy and included transaction fees are assigned to your payout address in the block's coinbase transaction.
  • SoloLuck charges a 0% pool fee.
  • SoloLuck does not receive a spendable fee output.
  • The newly mined coinbase output becomes spendable after Bitcoin's 100-block maturity requirement. This is approximately 16–17 hours on average, but the actual time varies.

Solo mining is all-or-nothing and extremely high variance. There are no small regular payouts, and no block or income is promised.

A pool cannot improve the mathematical probability of an individual hash finding a block. Choose a solo pool based on factors that actually differ, such as fees, network location, connection security, reliability, and transparency.

Quick configuration

Host: stratum.sololuck.io

Username: your own Bitcoin address

Optional worker name:

Code:
YOUR_BITCOIN_ADDRESS.workername

Password: anything, for example x

Code:
Nano
stratum+tcp://stratum.sololuck.io:3335
Minimum difficulty: 1
Initial difficulty: 4,000
Intended for CPUs, NerdMiners and very low-hashrate devices

Lite
stratum+tcp://stratum.sololuck.io:3333
Minimum difficulty: 1,024
Initial difficulty: 4,000
Intended for Bitaxe-class and other small miners

Encrypted Lite / TLS
stratum+ssl://stratum.sololuck.io:3334
Minimum difficulty: 1,024
Initial difficulty: 4,000
Same pool, with the Stratum connection wrapped in TLS

Pro
stratum+tcp://stratum.sololuck.io:4334
Minimum and initial difficulty: 1,048,576
Intended for modern high-hashrate ASICs and clusters

Important difficulty note:

None of these ports is permanently fixed-difficulty.

The pool's vardiff logic follows your share rate in both directions: it raises difficulty when shares arrive too quickly and lowers it again when they slow down. Compatible miners may request a lower difficulty using mining.suggest_difficulty, but never below the selected port's minimum.

Choose a port whose minimum difficulty is appropriate for your hardware.

For miners that use separate Host and Port fields, enter:

Code:
Host: stratum.sololuck.io
Port: 3335, 3333, 3334 or 4334

Do not include the stratum+tcp:// prefix when the miner interface asks for the host separately.

Supported payout addresses

The production payout path supports Bitcoin mainnet addresses beginning with:

  • 1… — legacy P2PKH
  • 3… — P2SH
  • bc1q… — native SegWit
  • bc1p… — Taproot

A self-custody address whose keys you control is recommended.

Avoid using an exchange deposit address unless the exchange explicitly confirms that:

  • It accepts direct Bitcoin coinbase mining deposits.
  • The deposit address will remain valid.
  • The deposit will be credited after coinbase maturity.

Your address and worker names become public mining identifiers once you connect.

Main features

  • 0% fee — the miner who finds a valid block keeps the full subsidy and transaction-fee reward.
  • Non-custodial — no account balance, deposit, withdrawal or custody of miner funds.
  • No registration or KYC — connect with your Bitcoin address as the username.
  • Three doors — Jakarta and Phoenix are each a Bitcoin pool with its own node and its own block templates; Singapore is a front door that forwards into the Jakarta pool, not a pool of its own. Measure your own route; lower RTT alone does not guarantee fewer stale shares or lower orphan risk.
  • Encrypted Stratum — TLS is available on port 3334.
  • Public statistics — pool, miner and worker data are visible without logging in.
  • Public raw API — the website uses the same machine-readable pool data exposed at sololuck.io/api/public.
  • Operator disclosure — SoloLuck-operated mining hardware is labelled separately from community miners.

Transparency and limitations

SoloLuck is a new pool with a single operator. It is not presented as a large or established mining operation.

  • Some displayed hashrate belongs to the operator's own machines. Operator workers are labelled publicly, and the live split between operator and community hashrate is on the dashboard.
  • The live pool block count, hashrate, worker activity and uptime are shown on the public dashboard and status pages.
  • Service is provided on a best-effort basis without any uptime or income guarantee.
  • SoloLuck runs on ckpool. SoloLuck's ckpool patches are published under GPLv3 at github.com/sololuckio/ckpool-sololuck, and the Windows/Mac miner plus a sanitized reference copy of the website's server are published under MIT at github.com/sololuckio/sololuck. Nobody outside can confirm that the live servers run exactly this code, and none of it has been independently audited.
  • The proof and verification pages contain operator-provided evidence and instructions for checking public claims. They should not be confused with an independent third-party audit.
  • The pool has no ability to improve your underlying solo-mining odds.

Thread updates

I will use this thread for:

  • Service and configuration changes
  • Major releases and security notices
  • Verified block announcements
  • Incident reports
  • Corrections to information in this opening post

Questions, technical criticism and independent verification are welcome.

Edited 18 Sep 2026. The corrections were written with an AI assistant (AI-generated text) for the operator: a retired difficulty tier removed, vardiff wording, where the source code is published, and the operator's share of the hashrate.

Update: what has changed since July

The first post is kept up to date. This reply lists what changed since the last reply here, with links so each item can be checked.

1. Bitcoin mining now runs in more than one pool
Today there is one pool in Jakarta and one in Phoenix, USA. Each runs its own Bitcoin node and builds its own block templates. Both put the same tag, /sololuck.io/, in the coinbase, so a block found at either one is credited to SoloLuck on-chain.
Nothing is shared between them. In solo mining every miner searches alone and a solved block pays that miner the whole reward, so the odds are the same at either pool: your hashrate against the whole network.
Code:
stratum.sololuck.io      Jakarta pool (the address in every guide, unchanged)
us.stratum.sololuck.io   Phoenix pool
sg.stratum.sololuck.io   entry point that forwards into the Jakarta pool
You don't have to choose one. Where the site can time your connection it gives you the pool that answers faster, the Windows app does the same when it starts, and your stats page reads both pools. You can also measure your own route: sololuck.io/ping

2. The same four tiers on every hostname
Code:
Nano   3335   min diff 1           CPUs, NerdMiners
Lite   3333   min diff 1,024       Bitaxe, NerdQAxe, Avalon Nano, small ASICs
TLS    3334   min diff 1,024       Lite over TLS; the certificate matches each hostname
Pro    4334   min diff 1,048,576   large ASICs, farms, rented hashrate
The old Standard tier is retired. Anything still pointed at it is forwarded to Lite, so nobody had to change a setting.
Vardiff moves both ways: it raises difficulty when shares come in fast and lowers it again when they slow down, but never below the port's minimum. The first post used to say it only goes up; that is now corrected.

3. Stats page: recent best shares and a panel for each machine
  • The all-time best share now has two rolling figures next to it, the best share in the last 10 minutes and the best in the last 24 hours. Both are shown for the address and for each machine.
  • Click a worker's name to open its panel. It lists every share that machine had accepted in the last ten minutes, newest first, showing the difficulty the pool asked for and the difficulty the share actually reached. It also has a best-share bar chart for 1 h, 6 h, 24 h, 7 d and 30 d. Periods from before the recorder was running are marked "not recorded" and are not drawn as zero.
Your page is sololuck.io/users/<your address>. An example, the operator's own rigs (labelled as such): sololuck.io/users/bc1q9t8v...reessha

4. SoloLuck Miner for Windows, now v1.11.5
  • v1.11.5: the Accepted counter only counts the pool's replies to real shares. Earlier builds also added one every five minutes from the mining engine's own summary line, so they could show accepted shares that were never sent. The hashrate readout now shows the hashes the engine actually counted.
  • v1.11.4: if the current pool stops answering for 90 seconds, the app checks that the other pool is up and then moves to it.
  • v1.11.3: when it starts, the app times both Bitcoin pools and subscribes to each one, which tells a working pool apart from a port that only accepts connections. It then mines to whichever answered faster and prints both times.
Existing installs update themselves the next time the app starts. Download from sololuck.io/setup or the GitHub release (MIT licence, source included).
Code:
SoloLuckMiner-v1.11.5.exe
SHA-256   d529fa273c781f6934bae5f5d9cf751b51aa4b58d90227d16fd7d18be56893ef
GPG key   278A 7867 47A2 483C CB13 78DE 6DC0 1CCB 8D86 65FB

5. The Solo Block Record, as open data
sololuck.io/legends lists 40 Bitcoin blocks found since 2022 by small, mostly home-built miners on Solo CKPool, Public Pool, Braiins Solo, Parasite, Noderunners, FutureBit and OCEAN. Each block is checked on-chain and linked to its source; the one win made with rented hashrate is marked as such. Where a finder never published a hashrate, the entry has no odds line rather than a guessed one.
Every block in the record now has its own page with the facts, the story and a link to verify it on-chain, for example sololuck.io/legends/957382.
The whole record can be downloaded as JSON or CSV under CC BY 4.0, which means anyone can use it anywhere as long as they credit the source. This is version 2026-09-14, and the sha256 of each file is on the page. If a solo block is missing or an entry is wrong, please post it here.

6. The pool's source is published
The first post used to say SoloLuck's patches were unpublished; that is now corrected too. They are public under GPLv3 at github.com/sololuckio/ckpool-sololuck. The patches cover per-port difficulty floors, username checks, and block submission that never drops a solved block. Apply them to a clean ckpool v1.2.0 checkout and compare the tree hash.

Smaller changes
  • ckpool upgraded to v1.2.0.
  • A solved block is written to disk and sent to every configured Bitcoin node, so a node hiccup at that moment can't lose it.
  • Since AxeOS v2.15.0, a Bitaxe pointed at a sololuck.io host shows a link straight to its SoloLuck stats page, the same quicklink AxeOS has for other solo pools (bitaxeorg/ESP-Miner PR #1785).
  • Sending /watch to the Telegram bot @SoloLuckIOMining_bot sets up worker-down alerts (after 20 minutes of silence) and best-share milestones for your address.
  • SoloLuck is on Nostr: npub1c2y7zrl4fcrze0r6rguelarhcafedz98r9h3kzfs2xxw9ctesn8q2xg9zj (NIP-05: _@sololuck.io). The account posts by itself: near misses (a miner's new best share within 1 in 20,000 of a Bitcoin block), blocks SoloLuck's pools find, and new entries in the Solo Block Record.
  • Each stats page has a "Show your stats elsewhere" box: a live badge for a website or GitHub README, and a plain link for a forum signature. A bitcointalk signature can't show images; links in signatures are clickable from Member rank up.

What hasn't changed
SoloLuck has not found a Bitcoin block. Solo mining is a lottery. A block pays the finder the whole reward, but most miners never find one, and none of the changes above affects anyone's odds. No income is promised. Live figures: status · dashboard

Bitcoin Cash and DigiByte
SoloLuck also runs true-solo pools for Bitcoin Cash and DigiByte (SHA256d). Those are altcoins, so they have their own thread on the Pools (Altcoins) board: SoloLuck Bitcoin Cash + DigiByte pools.
