Does anyone want a DIY keyois capsult kit? / I am cleaning out my closet

Hey-o so like 10 years ago I made a physical bitcoin art project, I still have a box of their old supplies that I want to get rid of.

Do you think there is any interest here for those items? I'm happy to give the things away if someone wants to pay for shipping.
If no one wants then I can toss them but I figured someone might want it so here I am.

What used to happen was that someone would encrypt a key and we would engrave that encrypted key on a metal ring in a tamper evident container.
What can happen now is that you can try to find a way to engrave something on the ring, and then build it yourself.

**- Some of these items are the left over parts and show clear signs of use, most are fine. The small box has all the parts needed to put one together yourself, some tools required for assembly; you'll have to figure out your own ring situation.

If only one person is interested then they can have everything, else wise I have 10 complete build kit sets, 5 where the rings are of mixed type -the  inner ring is tungsten and the outter one is titanium, and 6 incomplete kits that have no rings at all. In the case that 22 or more people are interested then we can play 'pick a number'

Forgot to mention but all of these come with the alexandrite centerpiece, I may have one or two of the other ones around, LMK if you really want it and I'll have a look

Very cool. I’d be interested in one complete build kit set, preferably one of the half-tungsten/half-titanium variants if available.

If there ends up being limited interest, I’d also be glad to take any extra complete or incomplete parts so they don’t get tossed, but I don’t want to step in front of others who may want a kit.

Seems like quite a bit of effort was already put into this. If I may ask, did it ever launch? What made you stop it? I'm sure the people interested in a set would love to hear more of the story.

If memory serves me correctly, wasn’t this the radioactive wallet or something like that? I remember thinking it was a pretty cool and unique piece to have at the time. Nearly bought one a couple times. You aren’t selling them because you started growing another arm are you?

I did sell some, and gave many away to friends, but it was a lot of work to assemble them and we no longer have the fiber laser and radial set up needed to engrave rings; plus there wasn't a strong interest in them. Now I've got some left overs that I want to get rid of.

I'm afraid I can't help with the laser engraving or assemble anymore, but I can send you the things needed to make it yourself. well, not the laser engraving

The original ones had a tritium vial as the centerpiece so they glow in the dark, and still do though not as brightly. If you wanted you could buy that vial yourself for your kit and test your hand at putting it together

Hey aolley!  The tritium is still one of my favorites in the collection, appreciative I was able to support the project back then and neat to see so much interest in it today.

Og has the machine to engrave it (maybe not the radial attachment but that's peanuts if you have the engraver), but did not support the project when initially released unfortunately.  Could have grown that third arm by now if he jumped on the chance prior.
