I'm starting this thread as a self-referential post, since I have two open loans: one with @shasan and another with the user @Swordsoffreedom.

I haven't been able to work for a week because the campaign was canceled, but to be honest, I probably wouldn't have been able to work anyway, since I was hospitalized with pneumonia resulting from an asthma attack I had about 15-20 days ago.

Then, during these last few days of recovery, the country was hit by the powerful earthquake.

So far, things are chaotic in the capital of Venezuela, and sadly, there are many losses.

My intention is not to run away or leave the forum; I will return soon with what's left on my debts, so this thread is for open discussion about it.

Sorry about the illness and the unfortunate events brought about by the powerful Earth Quakes. I watched the news earlier on, and the videos were so terrifying, as it also claimed quite a number of lives.
I believe you will get back on your feet. The most important thing is to keep communicating with the lenders about your progress or plans. I know they are human and they will understand/make arrangements accordingly.

Shit happens sometimes and most lenders are pretty lenient and will just add a little interest to the loan as a late fee. As long as you're communicating you keep yourself from getting tagged unless you are just not paying at all for months. Hopefully you get things sorted soon.

Since the earthquake started on Wednesday, I was following the news and how the earthquake tremor was felt in Colombia as 7.2 magnitude earthquake happened in Venezuela, followed by another one which was 7.5 magnitude. According to some sources, it was the highest felt since 1900.

What I do not like about the quake is how people will not only be sorrowful about their lost property, but lives were lost. It started with less than 100 people dead, the number gradually rose and the last that I saw yesterday was that 900 people have died while over 3,000 people are injured.

That said, you're neither the first nor will you be the last person in a similar situation to end up defaulting. What you need to do is whatever it takes to pay off the loan and never take out another loan again.

Hi Shasan, I need another loan, this time for $150. The additional amount due is $170, which will continue to be paid as usual to your Bitcoin address directly from the signature campaign.

My loan repayment date is tomorrow. Therefore, I request that both loans be merged on the same date, and the total repayment amount should be (378 + 30%) + 170 = $661

If you're in a bad financial situation, how the hell is paying 30% on borrowed money going to help you get out of it? And we're talking about paying back that 30% in less than a year, which means the APR is going to be in the hundreds or thousands of percent.

Currently, the situation in the country is complicated, but buying US dollars at a bank is a practical way to combat inflation, since they are obtained almost at the local exchange rate. Then, they can be used to deposit funds on platforms at an affordable price, using my country's exchange rate.

From my point of view, it's relatively more feasible. The problem is that the country is still reeling from the earthquake, and the sale of foreign currency has been halted for several days. Furthermore, it's only available at specific times and in a limited amount per day. Added to this are the electricity problems, so it's not always possible to buy dollars.

Get well soon, and wish you recover your health and financial situation as well to repay the loans. It's good you have opened a thread in advance; I hope the lender will notice that thread and give you chances by considering your current situation. Really feeling bad, you are affected in both health and wealth as well.

Furthermore, you may stay in contact with lenders and update them on your situation on time. Extend the duration of the loan; hopefully they will consider the duration.

I am almost at the same place as you; Unfortunately these are the kinds of things none of us can control. Sometimes life just throws everything at you at once and I always believed bad things have a habit of coming all at once.

The important thing is that you are being upfront about your situation instead of disappearing. As long as you keep communicating with your lenders and update them whenever you can, I’m sure they will appreciate the honesty. Hopefully your health continues to improve then the situation in your country settles down soon and you be able to get back on your feet and clear your debts. I've seen this thread bumped And when I saw the OP's name (this thread's OP), I wondered what had become of him. I see he still has the neutral tags for the loans, but he stopped posting in July. Does anyone have any idea what happened, or has he simply disappeared from the forum? Lenders don't usually start a scam accusation until many months after the borrowers disappear, but in this case, it's already been three months. However, maybe he has been still in touch with the lenders in some way and/or repaying the loans.

I see he was last online the 10th of October but the posts stopped way earlier. I am not sure why he wouldn't monetize his signature to clear up the loans now that there are plenty of good paying signature campaigns. A hero rank would fetch him some decent amounts that would take him less than two months to have the debt cleared.

Anyway, maybe he is still in touch with the lenders via PM.

As long as you communicate clearly I think the people who gave you that money will not have a problem with waiting a bit longer. After all, it was nobodies fault that it cannot be repaid on time. That is just how life goes and everyone will have those moments in life sooner or later and we should be more understanding of each other.

I think it is important to stay transparent. So, good on you for that.
