To buy or not to buy?

The crypto market has been in the "red zone" (bearish) for quite some time now. Altcoins have been hit real hard, losing a significant portion of their value compared to Bitcoin. Uncertainty is very high right now.

It makes me wonder whenever now it's a good time to buy more alts (especially prominent alts) or should I wait a little longer? I hear that central banks will keep rates high (or raise them) due to the deteriorating economic situation. If that's the case, then crypto will continue to decline during the remainder of the year.

I see altcoins as gambling. So the question look like asking people if you should gamble or not.

You can use DCA, but you can let the allocation on altcoins be little if compared to your bitcoin investment. I think buying some altcoins now will later be profitable, but my prediction can be wrong because many altcoins may not be not trustworthy.

At this point, you need to be careful with the kind of altcoins you want to buy so that, you don't end up buying altcoins that will just only keep on dumping and able to move uptrend with bitcoin price when the bear market is over. However, whomever is buying altcoins should know that he's gambling and use the amount of that you can afford to lose. Pay more attention on the growth of your bitcoin portfolio.

Alts? depends, since if you buy the those reliable alts then maybe its good to buy those coins, but for shitcoins or those something hard to determine if there's more greater value will came from those tokens then everything is really unknown. Because chances to experience rug pull is maybe high.

But if they really plan to buy then decide to hold all their accumulated coins, better just go directly on Bitcoin. Because we all know that this is been tested for many years or decade and so far it remain to be high potential and still the best coin in the market.

Altcoins are hard to speculate on, unlike Bitcoin, where we can make some possibilities of speculating the market and how it recovers, this is most essential at some point because Altcoins price when it dumped so hard, is almost impossible to recover but that is not the same with Bitcoin, so Altcoins is gambling and only your luck gives you whatever your realistic outcome becomes.

I think it is better to invest slowly because we will come out of Q2 and Q3 is not necessarily good, looking at the situation that is happening now I think it is not so good condition to buy, the end of Q3 is a good time to buy more, because in my opinion at this time it is still not the peak of price decline in the altcoin market.

For now, only ordinary accumulation of potential altcoins in 2027 can get attention or at least good fundamentals, such as SOL whose price is already below $100 again so we can take advantage of it to accumulate I altcoin coin whose narrative can return to hype at the beginning of next year.

Altcoins is harder and harder to predict, most altcoins that has pumped within 24h are some random altcoin that nobody hold and it reeks of manipulation.
Just look at the image above, the most random alt is the one going up. SNX is going up despite their sUSD (Synthethix USD) is depegged and trade around $0.25.

It's hard to say to wait longer or just buy. But I think the best approach is always been the usual way of buying and that's DCA. You can buy right now and if the prices of those altcoins you are interested with drops some more, then you should buy at that time as well. This depends on what are the choice of the altcoins you're buying. Some analysis says that wait until October comes because that might be the lowest possible ever but, we'll not know at that time if that's real or not since it's a speculation so, make sure to buy every window of opportunity of dip you see.

When everyone's expecting prices to drop, sometimes the worst is already over. It's almost impossible to guess the right moment to buy, many altcoins are already very cheap, and some still have room to fall. I'd start buying slowly now, but keep in mind the risks involved in investing.

Buying alts these days have the same mean as gambling. The fact that alts is already fully diluted. The chart tells how so much money are not coming back to alts due to the heavy supply. So i think buying alts may not be a good idea, unless you will use it for gamble,

What advice should i give when I myself didn't buy alt coin for many years. Now a days altcoin become so unpredictable that technical analysis doesn't work its like being crushed by a big rock. Even DCA can make your wallet empty at the end. If you love gambling then you are welcome to invest in any altcoin.

So investing in ETH is just as risky as investing in any other alt. As for BTC, the risk of short- and medium-term losses remains due to the ongoing bear market, but in the long term, BTC looks promising.

I don't know how much you have saved to purchase altcoins from the market, but if you have what you can use to buy altcoins and hold, I think it will make you to earn what will make you not to be poor than to be happy because you have invested in a good altcoins, I will not say that altcoin is not good to invest but don't invest huge amount of funds on altcoins because they don't have strong team like bitcoin.
