I am just curious though, when we type the keyword “gambling news,” most of the news we see is about addiction. So if the coverage is mostly negative, then why does gambling still continue to become popular?
Maybe that kind of approach is not really being read by the people who need it, because if they read and understood those stories, it should help reduce gambling addiction. But based on what is happening, it does not seem to result in lower numbers.
Even if such news is being heard everyday individual who are gamblers will still engage in gambling because it's a source of income that requires taking risk so whether people loose or win it will still maintain it's popularity because of the winnings that comes from it, everyone knows that gambling is bad and could be addictive to those who bet with emotions, which is dangerous to those who can't control their betting habits.
There's this mentality that almost every gambler has, they believe that they can control themselves and can't be victims of addiction, yet they are chronic addictors but have refused to acknowledge it and look for a therapist that can help talk them out of it. Even as gambling has frustrated many who couldn't take control of their gambling habits, the gambling companies are still making many adverts to lure people into gambling the more, the best solution to avoiding being an addict is to stick to budget and be on bankroll Management.
