Unemployment rate remains high because there are no sufficient jobs that would fit the number of fresh graduates. I think this is not happening only to our country but in some countries as well, especially those who have limited job opportunities, that's why its not surprising why a lot of youth or fresh graduates aim to go abroad because they can easily land jobs there with high compensation.

And even if they can find temporary jobs in their own place, the compensation rate is not enough, especially to those who already build their family earlier than as expected, or to those who are bread winners in their family.

Because nowadays, the guarantee to land a job is not your CVs or your college diploma, but your strong connection towards VIPs. If you don't have that, your application will be rejected and prioritize those who have reliable and powerful back ups.

But if its okay for you to work on something that is not related to your degree, or something with lower pay, I think getting a job is easier. But we have these youth's attitude that they should stick to their degree and realized their dream job, even if it means waiting a year or more than that. Or else, it would hurt their pride working on something that they find degrading on their part.

What they learn in school is only basic knowledge. What they don't understand is that each person faces their own unique challenges, and that advanced knowledge varies depending on life's challenges.

If someone can find financial solutions without any formal education, then unemployment isn't due to an outdated school curriculum. Sometimes people place too much value on their degrees, dismissing certain professions they consider contradictory and unworthy of their degrees.

References matter a lot
Many jobs are given through known people, not CVs.
If you don’t know someone inside, your CV often gets ignored.
You are welcomed if you want to add more..
References have to do with trust in society nowadays because of asset protection. Some people who moved into a new city without relatives, someone well-known or a higher-grade worker won’t easily get a job in their desired place because they need someone who they can call at anytime if anything goes wrong and who they know can take responsibility, which is also adding extra stress to job seeking, you will have a skill, degree and the experience and still be in search of someone who can say yes I know this dude and trust him please give him the job.

Based on my observation, to get quality job, the strating point is education, with studying we can build our knowledge and basic competence, on it process there are many supporting point which make graduates can connected with job market such as economic growth, investment, growing industry, oportunity and job experiences. The problem face by graduates there are mismatch between education and competency needed by industry and the major problem are the economic capacity of a country can not absorb labor and job seeker. Economic growth highly influnced by ease on investment, infrastructure development, legal certainty and business ease, all factor in the end influence unemployment rate.

I think what new generation need to update and upgrade to be qualified is learning ability, AI with its moving fast circumstance push us to make fast adapotation to be survive and learning ability to adabt will be our highest asset, today new generation lack of this ability which cause stuck on finnding job. During college time, student are not aware world changing fast, usually they realize these after hard in finding job which mean too late, in these VUCA worlds to be success we can not only react after punched but we must anticipated  the situation and provide plans as solution.

Colleges teach old books, but companies now want AI, digital marketing, and practical skills.
So degree alone is not enough to get a job now.


Yes, nowadays a degree alone is not enough to get you a job.. you still need practical skills that can be directly applied in a work situation, along with hands-on experience, and all of these things you can get when you take internships, contribute to open-source projects, take courses, and various other things that can give you real experience. if you only focus on your academic grades without thinking about taking training, internships, etc., it makes you less competitive compared to those who have taken all of these programs.. because companies tend to choose candidates who not only have a good understanding of theory, but also have proven that they have experience that makes them ready to work.

There are a lot of schools opening college courses to fit the increasing sized population of the students, yet on the other hand, the market economies  fail to generate sufficient jobs to cater to the number of those who people who's willing to work, so expect that there will be increasing unemployment rate happening every year.

And let's be realistic, your knowledge and academic achievements do not count much these days, but skills and experiences matter more so that they can perform their function well immediately, than hire newbies who have no guarantees if they can be an asset to the company or not.

Education is basic so graduate college or school needs to search for more knowledge to improve themselves. AI, skills, and other things are not learned in school or college so student need to search by themselves and not rely on school or college.

Companies offers a job to unemployment but they can't fills all position because that is limited. So those young needs to finds out or even build a new field source that can avail for unemployment.

And yes, not to mention that a job needs relation from someone inside, without that, young people will difficult to have a job but they can search for other jobs and not stop.

I am so much interested in the part that you said degree alone cannot get you a good jobb and that true. Soft skills matters a lot in today's hiring process. Companies wants to higher people who have the qualifications and also have some soft skills added to it. At times, some HR wants someone to have more qualifications and higher degrees before getting a little position in a company.

The modern tech let the business owner to operate their business efficiently through use robot, AI or something else. Even the AI explosion already made so many tech worksers getting laid off.

Beside that the Goldman Sachs also increased their estimation from the job cuts from 6% to 9%(US). The tech snowball is getting even worsen than you expected.

I'm so certain that degree alone can't get one a job now ,and that is why their is high rate of unemployment in the country ,fresh graduate everyday yet when you apply for a job they require 10 to 15years of experience, some are only opportune to get a decent job through connection  not even cv ,just as you said ,I remember how my friend's dad called his friends on behalf of his daughter, straight up the job was given ,not that she was actually qualify for the job ,that has been our bitter reality in our society now and we have to deal with it.

Education without experience has never been worthwhile, so while you're studying, work alongside it (in your future field, at a low-level position) to gain experience. In my country, students used to actively do this.

Instead of blaming the education system, the country's economic situation, your poor parents, or other obstacles to "becoming rich and happy", start looking for opportunities, not excuses, to give up.

Companies want experience
They only hire people who already worked before.
But freshers can’t get experience if no one gives them a first chance.
Stop whining - the solution is described above. You can also gain experience by participating in specialized clubs or competitions, as well as by practicing independently in your free time. Stop waiting for someone to guide you through life to success and financial well-being. Take control of your life and start taking action.

Freshers cost more time
Training a new person takes time and a senior’s help.
That’s why bosses prefer a 30+ person who can start work at once.
The boss's motives are understandable and logical. If you were the boss, would you hire capricious, inexperienced newcomers who, instead of mastering professional skills, wasted their time on all sorts of nonsense and now expect the company to train and coddle them at their own expense?

Jobs are in big cities
Most good offices and IT firms are in known cities.
If you live in a small town, you have to move or stay jobless.
You can stay in your small town and work as a supermarket clerk or a gas station attendant. Or take a chance and try to establish yourself in a big city. The choice is yours.

By the way, finding a remote job isn't a problem these days. Stop whining and making excuses for not getting anything done.

Exactly. The main reason for the high unemployment rate is that the supply of labor exceeds the demand. That is because government has failed to create enough jobs at home to meet the number of people looking for work.

It was a failure of an entire system, from the education system and economic policies to the way the country was governed, and the primary responsibility lies with the government.

The population is growing, but its distribution is uneven across countries and regions. At the same time, the rapid development of AI and robotics is likely to push unemployment even higher in the years ahead.

Education is not outdated but needs to augmented with certain skills starting at much lower level. Bookish thinking is what should be discouraged and real world application needs to be enhanced, but schools will rarely do these things on their own. Learning the proper skills in professional courses is common but not common in a general degree course. However starting an internship and getting your CV polished takes time and getting hired initially will happen through word of mouth.

That is why maintaining a good relationship with your seniors is important, they are going through some work stages and they will put in the good word for your. Eventually your CV will grow and you will be able to land a job on your own.

It is not easy but you need to proactive and change your approach to survive.

College and the typical university are only teaching the basics and the theoretical about the subject matter taken by the students. And in real world, there's more for them to learn and that's why individual skills matter and AI is starting to be taught in schools too. What the best way to get hired nowadays is about having a portfolio, even having small projects that you built or related to the skills you have or past jobs, you put them online so that it won't be cvs that you'll be passing anymore but the actual work that you have made.

Education is outdated
Colleges teach old books, but companies now want AI, digital marketing, and practical skills.
So degree alone is not enough to get a job now.
And the government are not doing anything serious about the poor educational system which is supposed to be the bedrock of a developing nation. If during the youthful age of a child he doesn't get exposed to things that stands to make him employable, we will continue to see an increase in the population of youth and yet, most of them will remain unemployable.

Even though some youths are not too skilled, the only way they ca adopt into the workforce is when they are given entry level roles that have a reasonable pay considering that in their times, they have options of getting money through means that are not all that genuine and if most of them goes towards that direction, they will not become skilled and sort after people. youth unemployability starts from the failure of parents to take responsibility of the future of their kids and goes on to the government that have refused to create the right system that gives them exposure to the right skillset and lastly it goes back to them as a people that have failed to take their destiny in their hands and ensuring that they thrive to learn relevant skills that are available in different corners which stands to make them employable or stands to even make them core employers of labor.

Based on the rising population size I don't think that there can be Employment Opportunity for every youth because the number of youths who are of the employable age yearly is more than the available jobs, What this means is that as an individual you need to plan and focus on your personal development especially with building a skill that can help you become self sufficient tomorrow. If you have a skill you do not need to seek employment under anyone rather you become an employer of Labor and will even help the employment situation in your country.
You have a good point here. I think with the fast growing population, there won't be any solution to unemployment. If the mindset of people will only be limited to working on corporate jobs, then the rate of unemployment will continuously grow, thus limiting the future income of these youths.

But instead of looking for an employer and be their training ground, they can always consider to be the boss of their own and improve their knowledge and enhance their skills through their growing learning experiences. This will save other people from being jobless, because they can already create jobs for those people in need.

Op Today job market is entirely different and changed from old pattern and no doubt you have many solid and authentic points. But I still have believe that todays education is not outdated it may be so yes it's so they way we delivere education is not compete the requirements of industries. With digree an individual just gain foundational knowledge but in real world recruiter wants technical experiences also along with digrees, no doubt references and networking helps a lot in hiring but merit has its own importance. The other major challenge is advancement in technology and every individual should need to learn new skills and need to remains updated according to updated technology. So that individuals who remains in touch with updated technology and improves there skills according to time they become more stronger and stable than others.
