Besides the causes which OP lists i think job opportunities also take a part why unemployment number increases for each year that magined, the companies only open 2 position for new employee but job applicants can reach to 1000 people or more which mean every job applicant has less than 1% chances to accept and gets new job.

I think this became an the main issues in some countries that fresh graduate didn't gets more opportunities to gets the jobs and showing their skill so, that's why currently the youth is dominate unemployement and the worst thing is the number of unemployment will always be increases following the student who graduate from the university.

Here in my country there are about 4 applicants competing in every ideal vacant position. Those who are not hired will be forced to take the jobs below their standard rate.

OP was right about having a degree alone won't be enough to land a good job, one will need skills in line with what the company needs, to have an edge. Many college students these days are in a lot of pressure, from maintaining good grades, finishing up deadlines, and equipping their selves the skills needed to be competitive against the growing numbers of unemployment.

There are too many factors that causes unemployment today and it affecting majority of country in the world.
Educational sectors have become ceremonial activities not for studying and gaining knowledge as it use to be.
Some youths are lazy all they wanted is means if getting quick money and living a fake life style, this means that many youths compares themselves to others who get money  through illegal ways without knowing there sources of income all they wanted is to be like them.

When we talk about unemployment in the society, I don’t think it should only be tilted to one side, the factors that contributes to unemployment are more of both personal and economical factors. It’s true that a lot of young people get too motivated and begin to chase for quick wealth, but that’s doesn’t mean there aren’t others who are still doing it the ol’ fashioned way by working genuinely but yet they still struggle because there ain’t enough good jobs or because they lack practical skills. If the government are able to make provision for youths to improve their education, and also encourage skill development, they’ll be in turn helping them create more opportunities.

College and the typical university are only teaching the basics and the theoretical about the subject matter taken by the students. And in real world, there's more for them to learn and that's why individual skills matter and AI is starting to be taught in schools too. What the best way to get hired nowadays is about having a portfolio, even having small projects that you built or related to the skills you have or past jobs, you put them online so that it won't be cvs that you'll be passing anymore but the actual work that you have made.

Today world is going towards digital systems and now having a degree is not enough to survive and getting job because know along with degree you should have a strong portfolio in which your own creative projects must added and you also have internships relevant to your degree and have latest and useful skills then may be you considered for a good job. Currently along with latest skills AI has most importance because currently world is converting on AI bases tools so now it's compalsry to learn about the development and usage of AI.  Along with learning skill of AI education is still the most important thing for youth because through it you learn the basics of every field. So the purpose of discussion is that the combination of education and latest skills is very important for success in every field of life.

Based on the rising population size I don't think that there can be Employment Opportunity for every youth because the number of youths who are of the employable age yearly is more than the available jobs, What this means is that as an individual you need to plan and focus on your personal development especially with building a skill that can help you become self sufficient tomorrow. If you have a skill you do not need to seek employment under anyone rather you become an employer of Labor and will even help the employment situation in your country.

They could have cultivate jobs for their citizens and lessen unemployment rate, because that is the only way to prevent the country from experiencing extreme poverty. If all the willingly job hunters will be given their source of income, the country's economy will benefit as well.

However, on the part of these youths, they should not be selective as well. If their goal jobs aren't available yet, or there are no available spots, then they should find other jobs that can improve their practical skills and knowledge that can help them deal what real battle in life is all about.

It's not enough but that's the start. And each of us is figuring a way out to get into the competition. We as humans are natural survivors and that's why we won't just let it be that we're going to die without trying hard. We'll not starve and so those graduates are trying their ways through their passion and other things that they can. Some are skillful and have figured it out early and that's why they're ahead than the others. While the others are struggling, they haven't found out yet what they should and the skill that they like to have.

If you are just starting, you should not be very picky with the job as you need to gain skills and experience. And with the digital age that we have now, make sure to.upgrade yourself also with the needed digital skills that we have now.

 In my country the unemployment rate is constantly increasing and the job market is very bad. Talking about the education rate is only making for good results. Most educational institutes do not provide any kind of training on work experience. But the officers of any company or organization are appointed by experienced and skilled people. Moreover, less number of seats are always given in vacant posts, because of which thousands of graduate students are losing job opportunities. Several months ago I was participating in the job test for vacancies but the applicants were around 50,000 and there were only two vacancies. Therefore, to reduce the unemployment rate, the amount of employment must increase. Even while studying, constantly move towards acquiring skills.

Education isn’t outdated, I see people who doesn’t know anything are the once who will be making noise that Education isn’t important anymore, it would mostly be in the African countries, that is a place where you will have people who thinks education isn’t important, Mostly in Africa there are high rate of unemployment.

Education helps in so many ways, not only by giving job opportunities, without education and learning about things we wouldn’t be here right now, knowing how to write things, you have to learn how to read and write, and Education open the door for good humanity lifestyles, when someone is educated you will understand that they’re learned, speaking properly.

The reality is that unemployment is not caused by one problem alone. It is the result of many factors but i believe the first one is education system because many colleges still teach old theories while industries move quickly towards AI automation and digital tools and also practical problem solving . Also most job advertisements ask for experience  even for entry level roles if a company won't give a chance to a fresh graduate how will he/she gain experience . I think if millions of qualified peoples are struggling to find work then perhaps it is time to stop blaming individuals and start questioning the system because maybe the problem is not that the graduates are not trying hard enough but it is the whole system that expects experience before opportunity and skills .

Theories in schools doesn't have to be on the causes of unemployment in the society because we don't have any of them that should be regarded as an old theories, though a lot of them are authored by people who published it many years ago but the teachings is still very effective with the reflection to our current society so actually theory is not the problem but instead you could blame some practical aspects of learning in some educational system of country because before a person should graduate from electrical engineering you should no how to work under electrical power station or handled at least 60% percent knowledge in electrical power but unfortunately thousands of electrical graduate cannot identify the tools that's meant for electrical.

Unemployment among youth today remains high in our country today, because new technology keeps coming up every day and those who has no idea of the development are left behind. We are been taught in our various institutions that degree is what can get you a job, which is totally wrong in this new era. When you go to look for a job, and you think just going with certificate will get you a job, that's a lie, because it will not work. if you don't have the skill or an experience they are looking for in that company or industry they will not even look at, if you come out with first class. So, learning a skill that a company will need is very important, they will even pay you any amount you need, so long as you know what you are doing and you can deliver your work perfectly.
