Bitcoin's $59K-$60K Dip: Investor Mindset. Fear or an opportunity?

We are now in the period where the market will test a lot of investors. The Bitcoin price has dipped further to $59-60k range , so this dip kind of exposes the mindset of different investors. Some investors who have weak conviction, discipline and mindset will start reacting and panicking because of this dip. Their emotions lead them to make wrong decisions whereby they sell off their holdings because of fear of the market dipping further. I know that some people might say knowledge is what they are lacking but even someone with knowledge but lacks a good mentality, discipline and strong conviction also sells due to their decisions based on their emotions.

‎But a true investor will keep calm during this period, where they will try to assess possible means to use this dip as an opportunity to accumulate more Bitcoin. This is because they've come to understand that Bitcoin has gone through many periods of consolidation and corrections in the past . They can increase their discretionary amount, buy the dip etc as long as it doesn't affect their livelihood.

This current bitcoin price was predicted by a close friend of mine after drawing up some lines on the charts, and I could barely doubt it. Bitcoin bearish season does not quite look like the bear we all expected, but we stay hopeful that the bullish season rewards those who HODL and leave the short traders in regrets.

For bulk investors, these bitcoin season is not a concern because their investment is for long term. So the mentality of every bitcoin depends on what pattern of investment they choose rather than experience or analysis, though fear is always a constant in both variables.

For those who are considered OG in the forum or market they will only seat back and forth watch because they probably have experienced something close to this from the 2010 to 2012 guys who were already in the crypto world they understand what it means and what reaction the market could give however, for traders it might be a bad one but for investors with long term plans they have no worries as long as they are convinced that their is a good future.

Imagine someone who started accumulating bitcoin around the time of the last ATH, buying consistently all this time till this DIP, there is bound to be fear amongst people like that, so asking about fear and opportunity for this kind of people doesn't make much sense, they will be afraid but it is their choice whether to act on that fear or not, of course someone who is in this for the long term will be able to hold through this dip and even use it to accumulate more, it's not that they won't be afraid but that they won't let that fear cloud their judgment.

There as been a wide difference between Bitcoin investors and traders. Most Bitcoin hodlers that panic during dips are mainly traders because before you can call yourself a Bitcoin investor, you should have know there are two periods associated with Bitcoin investment which are the "BULL and BEAR". So with this, an investor shouldn't panic even if the dip get lower than this. However, there are some other factor that may creat fear or panic for investors, which include:

1. Investing  without proper budgeting: Some investors invest without making proper calculation of their monthly earnings and expenditure. One should only invest with an DISCRETIONARY INCOME. This will help you to stay longer and avoid fear during your investment period.
2. Investing using loan or borrowed money: No matter how strong you are you will get shaking during dip like this as your motive of investment is profit. And bear never gives profit, so fear of making more lose may make you sell your coin.

Dip should always be an opportunity for investors to buy more. This is why DCA is important during investment. Investors should always see dip as an opportunity rather than having unnecessary fear.

Immature investors will be the ones to be seeing bitcoin fallen and be in panic or FUD, because we are expected to buy the dip and continue holding as the market falls, and not a time to think of uncertainties about the market when we know we are already into bear season.

What you mentioned is exactly what happens when people lack knowledge. When someone does not have proper knowledge about something, it often leads to poor decision-making.A person emotions are also influenced by their level of knowledge about a particular subject. That is why most investors who consistently make the right decisions with their Bitcoin investment hold for the long term. Even when they experience a bear market, they do not panic and sell because they understand how Bitcoin has performed over time.

They also invest only their discretionary income, meaning they do not invest money they will need in the near future. As a result, they understand the steps required to be successful in Bitcoin investing. When someone has that level of knowledge, even if Bitcoin falls below its current price, they will not panic because they know that, eventually, Bitcoin's price is likely to recover and may even reach a new all-time high.

As someone who has spend time on the market and possibly has spent one cycle should be able to know how the market react over the time and seeing that market is getting lowered doesn't mean they should be that panicking over the time because they have first in hand experience. As you may know experience is the best teacher while doing investment, and truly if you are just starting your investment journey recently they should be able to exercise patient and keep in mind that the market would always bounce back because it has completed its principles. And what makes Bitcoin and other altcoin tradable is their volatility nature.

Last week the price come down to $58k nd as be shoe im still come down and currently na $59,189. Di way di Market dey go e go hit $40 before dis year go end. When we get sick or face any kind of danger in our life, do we commit suicide instead of facing this danger. But then we keep ourselves calm and think about how to get out of this time. Same in the case of Bitcoin, the biggest reason for this popularity of Bitcoin is the Bitcoin network and the Bitcoin network is designed in such a way that it can change over time.

We need to see this decline as a buying opportunity and although some new people will be afraid that it is natural but every Bitcoin owner needs to build confidence in their Bitcoin so that they do not sell during the decline. In line of what I understand and what I study, this is an incredible opportunity to exchange some dollars with a best value bitcoin. A pure investor take the profits more months ago, if someone have bitcoin from years it's is not an investor but an holder who want decentralization and live with bitcoin or mantain the value for this next generation. Especially those who have been in this forum for a long time and are involved in investing, they see this dip as an opportunity. There are very few experienced people in this forum who are afraid of the fall or the dip, rather they know how to enjoy this dip.

I usually enjoy the dip the most and take the opportunity as much as possible during this time. Because in the bullish market, the amount of Bitcoin that I will be able to accumulate in 2 weeks will take only 1 week during the dip. That is, I am able to buy double or triple Bitcoin at the same time. Since I am moving forward with a long-term plan and am not selling now, I am not afraid of the dip. Because, why should I be afraid of today's price since I am not selling today. I have developed the belief that Bitcoin will increase in the long term.

I talked about this a lot in other threads, and each time we have any kind of bear or bull market that pulls us into one direction it shows that most people do not do what they talk. Many people will say that you should not trade with emotions which means the market sentiment as well, but they do not practice the advice that they are writing to others. Each time we have a strong bear market that is always a buying opportunity, which is what a person who does not trade with emotions do. Instead most people react identically to the market sentiment, if the market sentiment is fearful they will be afraid and start thinking about doom scenarios. As you see, this is very bad and it shows that there is a disconnection between what people claim should be do and what people are actually practicing.

I remember many people asking where they can buy Bitcoin at $120k and wanting to put a lot of money in it, and these people are now completely silent and covering. This is why most traders are actually losing money, because they are investing or trading in the exact opposite way of what they should be doing.

Bear market is a buying opportunity, bull market is a selling opportunity. Please remember it.

The problem is that most people who invest in bitcoin want to easily make profit from it immediately not understanding the circle of bitcoin and the seasons that come with it. So when they see this drops and the rate of reduction in their wallet, they will panic and sell off in loss.

To invest in bitcoin, you must see that money as forgotten money over a certain period of time like years as if you fixed it in a bank account.

In fact, it is better you consider it as money thrown in saving box that you won't have to touch as children do over a period of time.

So for the investors who really understand the circle of bitcoin, the bear season is a time for DCA. It is an opportunity for investment but it has to be at the right time too. It is better to invest from the buttom if you are able to identify it because $59,000 may still be on the high.

I see this bear market as an opportunity to buy more coins at a discount and that's because I already sold my coins earlier when I saw Bitcoin reached a new all time high, and I also predicted that the price was going to dip to around $50k which some people never believed it will but we can see it happening, so I don't regret selling around $100k+, I'm happy to buy at a discount price now and hold till the next bull cycle. An experience Bitcoin investor is supposed to know that Bitcoin season is always necessary to know and flow with it, depending on the kind of investor you are.
