Hi everyone,
I want to publicly raise a severe case of responsible gambling failure, corporate negligence, and regulatory bias regarding Sportsbet.io and their parent company, mBet Solutions N.V.
Here are the facts of my case:
1. The 2019 Declaration: In August 2019, I permanently closed my account on their sister site, Bitcasino.io, explicitly stating that I suffer from a severe gambling addiction. I have the full email logs from 2019 as undeniable proof.
2. The Breach: Just one month later, in September 2019, the exact same operator (mBet Solutions N.V.) allowed me to register, pass KYC verification with the identical identity details, and deposit on Sportsbet.io.
3. Catastrophic AML/RG Failure: Recently, while my profile was already linked to a known gambling addiction within their corporate network, they allowed me to deposit over Crucial amount of €10,000+ in a single 24-hour period. No Source of Wealth (SoW) checks or automated flags were triggered. They simply watched an addict lose thousands of euros within hours.
The Casino’s Defense:
I confronted Sportsbet.io, and their Safer Gaming team officially replied to me with a copy of their terms, claiming that they "only started syncing self-exclusion profiles across Bitcasino and Sportsbet.io on January 20th, 2020". They argue that because my addiction was declared in 2019, they are not responsible for the deposits they accepted on Sportsbet.io after that date.
Why this is a scam approach:
Bitcasino.io and Sportsbet.io are not independent companies. They are skins operating under the exact same owner, exact same platform, and exact same Curacao gaming license held by mBet Solutions N.V.
A legal entity cannot claim that their own database fragmentation absolves them of their duty of care. If their systems were integrated enough to link my profile and confiscate winnings/deny payouts later during KYC, they were technologically capable of blocking my deposits in the first place.
How Curacao eGaming (CEG) rubber-stamped this scam:
I escalated this severe breach to the regulator, Curaçao eGaming. Unsurprisingly, they ruled in favor of the casino to protect the operator. Here is their official ruling statement:
"In this case, CEG rules in favour of the Operator because: No evidence has been provided by the Player that the effort was made by the Player to timely, at least fourteen days prior to the disputed transaction, make the Website sportsbet.io aware of the existence of problematic gambling behaviour."
CEG completely ignored basic gaming law and operator liability. They treat a single legal entity (mBet Solutions N.V.) as if they were completely separate corporate groups, just because the websites have different marketing logos. They essentially ruled that a casino group is allowed to possess explicit written knowledge of your gambling addiction on database A, but they have zero obligation to check that database when you open an account on database B under the exact same corporate license.
This proves once again that Curacao eGaming does not exist to protect players, but to act as a shield for rogue operator practices.
I am posting this here to warn the crypto gambling community and to get the attention of the official Sportsbet.io representatives on this forum. I demand a full refund of all deposits accepted by mBet Solutions N.V. after my clear 2019 addiction declaration.
I have all screenshots of the 2019 emails, KYC logs, and their recent refusal emails ready to share with any moderator or forum representative who wants to review this case.
