Well when you are spending millions on tokens, and you are not getting anything good out of it, then of course a junior developer would be better. I knew that this would happen, because fable 5 for example charges 10 bucks per million input, and 50 bucks for per million output, and that means you are going to pay some IA about 50 dollars per hour to work for you, and that means with every mistake as well.
Instead, you can just hire some dev and keep him working on a fix salary and if they do a bad job, fire them and hire a good one. That way you do not need to waste millions on an AI that may make a big mistake.

Theres a big myth that AI is some how superior to people when its not, people are still needed to train the AI and make sure it actually does that job well. The advantage for AI is to enable more work done not eliminate the need for people. I dont see its too much different to prior technology waves where routine and repetitive work was taken over by a machine that could do that job once setup properly. What is most likely to happen when the dust settles is people are placed where they are best valued, no machine now or future will be able to do all the tasks people can do and learn as well each time there's a new job. If more work can be done because a tool enables greater power then its going to enable more jobs to setup that work. People wont believe till its already occurred, we'll assume the worst first but its already clear AI is nothing near to perfect.

Ai technology is still developing and as far as I know, they don't fix themselves unless humans do. We might still not see so much layoffs but more reduced workforce with AI assistance and that's for the countries who have so much resources allocation to ai development because in truth, no company or platform or organization can totally replace human resources with AI assistance.
With the advancement of AI, many think it can be able to handle all kinds of tasks without error as long as it’s being programmed in that direction, but they forget that the end result of whatever is being produced is for humans, and AI can’t give us 100% satisfaction. It should be deployed to assist and not to handle all the jobs without human supervision; there will definitely be some lapses. I believe more companies will also make the same call as Ford in the near future.

As for the fact that they can still commit errors or mistakes. Just look at chat or gemini, sometimes their answers are wrong. So you still need to check the veracity of their statements, solutions or answers. But we can say, they are of great help as they can easily answer or summarize topics in a very short period of time. But with the right direction, AI can really improve a lot of engineering works just what Malaysia is integrating to their engineering infrastructure. We can't totally eradicate the fact that AI has big role now in every field and it can truly shorten the duration of the job, hence, saving huge amount of money and resources. I think it is still too early to leave a company's entire operations exclusively in the "hands" of AI. I’ve read about companies that laid off staff en masse to adopt AI but ended up reversing course, as using the technology proved more expensive than the salaries of the dismissed employees. There are also cases of companies losing their databases due to "flawed judgments" made by AI agents.

Before that, companies and buy subscription in bulk for their employees or even use it for their automated robots. But soon enough Anthropic will ask for $10/million tokens for Fable 5 use. Just for context, 300k context per request is very common when you need don't frequently compact the context. Imagine how much money they are about to burn for a result that isn't so great. It's going to be so much more expensive. These company higher executives need to know that AI isn't magic that can solve all their problem. The best and most efficient way is to hire expert and give them AI to boost their productivity.

Waoo kind of strange story if you ask me, after so many noise concerning this whole AI issues. But the truth is that AI can't function independently without humans this just proved it once again. I feel that for AI to work well there will always be a collaboration between Humans and AI that is the only way that it's going to be achieved, AI can't work in isolation. Thank God that this particular company has realized that and decided to rehire humans which is a good gesture from them.

Artificial Intelligence is nowhere near perfect at the moment, but this might change some few years from now. I do us AI to create some tools and tasks here and there, but sometimes they really do make grave mistakes that need to be corrected by a Human Assistant. So such news never surprises me. Right now the models are still "learning" and we also know that learning is a never ending process.

In fact, AI does outperform humans. But! This is limited to certain areas, and they aren’t specifically related to intelligence. For example, AI has an incomparably larger knowledge base than any single person or even a group of people. AI can also generate complex answers to questions incomparably faster by drawing on a massive database. AI can process huge amounts of data incomparably faster than a human. But despite all this, AI hasn’t actually gained any intelligence from it...

It's very realistic point that AI should viewed as just a tool which facilitates humans and their daily life works and not viewed it as the replacement of humans. Many people thinks that AI replaces their jobs and some how they are right but in reality AI systems also depends on human expertise and also needs proper development system, proper designing and continuous improvement. Like early on AI ding normal tasks but currently it's so advance and developed that it doing tasks with automatic systems so it creates opportunities for humans in the field of technology because AI tools required experts of development system and powerful tools which developed by individuals so human always involved in it. Still AI tools working in many advance countries and people easily manageable with that and with time the people of our continent also used too for the usage of AI tools.

Due to rise in popularity of AI, companies are using AI and cutting human jobs. In another move this years, we saw Oracle firing 30,000 employees around the world. I think companies are doing it quite early without proper planning that whether AI can do the jobs which humans are doing. Very likely Oracle and other companies will rehire the people they have fired due to AI adoption. There is no doubt that AI can help companies in many different ways but they must not fire massive human workforce immediately but a gradual reduction is better strategy.

At this point I think human role remain irreplaceable in high quality production
It is really hard to digest that AI could not recognize the pattern, and at such high speed because last I checked it was better than humans, and that's why they replaced them with AI. Now they want people again. It is disrespectful for everyone. AI can be biased and could not be trusted. That's why people can't trust that the cars they are buying are audited by AI because there can be mass level miscalculations, and accidents could occur, like in Tesla. The airbags come out the moment you are free falling instead of coming out before the collision, not too soon.

The hype on AI replacing human workers has been making waves for years now. Some people predict a massive job losses in our industries. But a recent report from Ford is raising concern over that claim.
The replacement won't happen this year on on the next year. It's a progressive phenomenon which will happen along the years in slow dosages, as AIs are developed and improved. What Ford did was precipitate, as AI is still in testing phase right now. They can't ensure quality control, because they still commit lots of mistakes. But it won't remain like this forever. At some point AIs will be able to replace most humans on most of their functions on the industry worldwide.

Well not only AI fails to double check and makes mistakes, but on top of that, with Claude having usage rate through the roof for even simplest tasks, hiring a junior dev is far cheaper, because with a human worker, you can make sure that they check everything twice.
AI doesn't know when they make a mistake, they send it, and assume that's correct, you are required to tell it that it made a mistake. With human, they check everything multiple times before they let it go to public. On top of that, a human worker "may" make some money, but it's nowhere near a unlimited usage rate Claude, which could charge up millions by doing simple tasks. Hence, I understand why they are hiring back normal humans, it's far more advantageous for companies.

As long as AI has no ability to copy the human's brain ability to record undocumented knowledge owned by those experienced enginers. AI will never able to perfectly copying the result that has done by those experienced enginers. So AI is still some loopholes why it can't be as good as human.
The documentation from our brain by doing trial and fail can't be replaced by AI. This is why basically AI is generated based on what kind of data distributed by them, and they can't be as creative as human who is always think about what idea without the need to get the data to work with.

The hype on AI replacing human workers has been making waves for years now. Some people predict a massive job losses in our industries. But a recent report from Ford is raising concern over that claim. According to report Ford had to rehire human engineers after their AI systems could not consistently meet the rigorous quality standards required in automotive manufacturing. SourceQuality failures can cost millions or even billions in this crypto space. In Bitcoin and crypto, we already know security is everything. would you trust a fully AI-built bridge, wallet, or exchange system without human engineers doing final checks? I know AI is powerful but it still needs human oversight. We've all seen AI-generated code with hidden bugs. At this point I think human role remain irreplaceable in high quality production. RE hiring huh? I hope they got a fat bonus in their check as an apology for their years of hard work for a rotten company that tried to shove them under the bus the first opportunity that they got for bigger profits. I really do not understand why some people keep celebrating the culture of toxic capitalism. Capitalism does not have to be toxic. We are not cold, heartless robots that only understand imperical units on a balance sheet.

The problem is that the human knowledge you’re referring to-which hasn’t made its way into open sources and hasn’t become the basis for training AI-will never be accessible to AI. And that means AI will lag behind humans. The second problem is that AI is based on algorithms, not thinking. AI does not possess THINKING like a human, it simply has a technological advantage in the volume of information available to it and the speed at which it processes that information... This is what FORD has run into, and what other companies that have decided to completely replace humans with AI will also run into.

Even when AI system are now being used on big companies because with that they can save manpower somewhat save money and output more but even with that there should be still human intervention because AI is not always correct it still makes mistakes and is still learning so it need to be monitored i think it is almost impossible that all jobs will be replaced with AI. Humans are not that irreplaceable on jobs. But on our part also we must upskill so that will be unique.

Human intervention is still needed for these jobs. I think one issue is also how much it costs to run all of these AI agents for their services. It's not only about being incompetent since they require more training but also the cost of it. That's why with cost cutting through rehiring human labor, it makes it easier for these companies to set expectation. Because they thought that due to AI, everything is automated and no human labor force is needed but it's still does. This is just one of the many that will start reverting to manpower for their service.

Yeah it's really frustrating to see such approach. On which there's criticism towards those action done by corporate they call it anti capitalist, while those concerns shared by people towards this latest situation happening is valid. They just dump their people and change it to robots then now they rehire because they realize that robots cannot replaced the consistency and great minds of people. If they rehire those old experience working on their company before, well yeah the owner owes them an apology and they are truly deserving for bonus especially if those worker prove that they are more efficient worker than those robots.
