What do you think ? Your thoughts ?
In essence, you have mentioned several main problems regarding the BRICS economic block, such as internal challenges, geopolitics and many other problems faced by the BRICS economic block itself, Until now, as in the world, there is almost no news talking about BRICS in the future.

We can see that currently the US dollar continues to strengthen, almost all countries are in disarray, the initiative of the presence of the BRICS economic block should be able to overcome all the problems currently occurring, in fact this is not the case, in fact, like the New Development Bank, it is not working properly.

I think the growth and economic strength of BRICS is not able to beat the current global economy/US dollar, I think the projection is that BRICS will disappear like on earth, including BRICS members will disband.

But you can easily find information about how, in 2024, news about "successes", "development", the "BRICS currency", the "death of the dollar", and the "world’s new economic hub" was pouring out of "every media outlet", and they even showed a prototype of the BRICS currency Smiley
This was especially true during the period before and after the so-called "BRICS summit" in Kazan, Russia. I recommend watching the reports and reviews from there to understand who planted the seeds of discord within this alliance and how-attempting to push all participants into confrontation with the civilized world in order to "solve the problems" of certain countries, problems that were not economic at all, which would have been logical for an ECONOMIC alliance.

No one is angry! Ukraine is successfully destroying the terrorist’s country’s army, along with its economy and infrastructure... Taiwan will defend its independence. Now the question is-how exactly do the examples you cited relate to the issues within BRICS? Smiley
BRICS is an ECONOMIC alliance, am I right? Their goals are economic development, right? Or do you think they’re somehow connected to Russia’s terrorist activities in Ukraine? I’m probably missing something or don’t know the full story-I’d appreciate it if you could clarify and explain!

Taiwan is China and will forever remain that way. The US government only all around because of their selfish reasons.

The US actions in Iran is not terrorism but Russians pushing back NATO from their backyard terrorism? Lol! All it will take is for Russians to flip the scripts, they  have been silent for too long. You ukrainians are simply proxies, fighting the US war of destabilising Russia. Most stupid of them supporting them are Europeans. Pathetic!

Can you explain-on what basis is Taiwan part of China?  Can you provide some arguments?

And now, from what I understand, you’ve decided to turn this into a total farce? Smiley
Russia pushing NATO back? "Thanks" to Putin, Russia now has two more NATO countries right on its borders. A success? Smiley Definitely  Grin
Are we marionettes? Then do us a favor and provide evidence that we attacked Russia, and not the other way around?
By the way,  Lavrov (Russian Foreign Minister) says that the U.S. is "dancing to Ukraine’s tune"-or don’t you believe Lavrov?  Grin
Verbatim: "I hope the U.S. still has some shred of national pride left and that they won’t dance to the tune of [Ukrainian President] Volodymyr Zelenskyy," …"

What do you say? Smiley
While you’re at it, tell me-what happened in February 2022? Just don’t embarrass yourself or humiliate yourself with primitive lies—everyone has access to information, right? Let’s talk about puppets, okay? Smiley

P.S. Understand this—when you lie, it’s very easy to verify, and most importantly, you always look incredibly stupid. Russian propaganda is aimed at people whose brains aren’t quite functioning properly, because a functioning brain would immediately dismiss such nonsense Smiley

De-dollarization sounds great on paper, but nobody actually wants to hold massive reserves of rupees or yuan that they can't easily spend globally. Until they build a proper institutional framework and resolve these deep internal rivalries, BRICS will remain a glorified talking shop.

Unless something ground-breaking happens and Bitcoin suddenly goes back to six digits again.  Roll Eyes
The liquidity of other countries banknotes cannot make cross border transactions as liquid as the dollar at the moment. The problems between members are known to slow down the development of these economic alliances. In case Bitcoin reaches six curves or even higher and becomes highly more valuable than it was last time it hit the all time high, it might have a radical impact on the global financial situation. I believe that money will be a very interesting subject to look into in the future.
It is impossible to predict what will happen in the coming years. So de-dollarization and Bitcoin should be viewed separately. Perhaps we will see a system where the dollar, local currency and Bitcoin can coexist, rather than the dollar versus Bitcoin. In the future, this is more consistent with the current trend, to me. De-dollarization is not just a matter of choosing a new currency. It requires deep financial markets, international trust, the rule of law, an easily convertible currency and a strong payment infrastructure. Currently, the US dollar combines these advantages, so it is difficult for the BRICS to create an alternative to the dollar in the short term.

On the other hand, if the price of Bitcoin goes back to six figures or more, then there is no doubt that it will have an impact on the global economy. As a result, more institutions, companies and perhaps some states may consider Bitcoin as a reserve asset. But it is not right or reasonable to say that the rise in the price of Bitcoin means the end of the dollar's dominance.

The Chinese president has consistently stated Taiwan is China. I decided to make it swift and brief.

The continuous encroachment of the United States since the 90's, the coup,  Ukraine breaking the Minsk agreement. Well, you know better, you allow yourself to be a proxy so you brought all these on yourself. Many Ukrainians are dead already and the few who flew went where? Russia?! Asides that, how do you treat further Ukrainians refusing to fight? You should be the one embarrassed of yourself and that comedian trafficking young women and minors to be gang raped by the western leaders. Vile creatures indeed.!

Well, I could certainly cite a whole bunch of other people’s statements, but that won’t change the reality Smiley For example, I could say that Angola is historically Ukrainian territory-so what?! Smiley
I suggest you stop reading populist slogans and study history instead-it’ll be way more interesting and easier to understand Smiley
Oh, and regarding the continuous U.S. invasions since the ’90s and Ukraine’s violation of the Minsk agreements-I’d like to ask you to explain your words here in front of everyone; I think a lot of people will laugh until they cry.
Go ahead, tell us the "truth". Just don’t forget-we’re not idiots here, and we understand the history and chronology of events perfectly well… Come on, give it a try!

It’s a fact that many Ukrainians have died; we were attacked, we’re defending ourselves, and war always means death-I won’t argue with that. The bottom line is that there are always people who don’t want to fight themselves. MANY didn’t flee to Russia—that’s just Kremlin propaganda; some residents from the regions moved there... ...destroyed by the Russian terrorist army. There are many reasons. For example, some have many relatives in Russia. Some fell for cheap propaganda, such as the residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea, who were promised "mountains of gold" and then left to fend for themselves.
I’m not ashamed-in 2022, I served in a Territorial Defense unit, having enlisted alongside my son at the end of February 2022, so don’t try to feed me these heartwarming stories straight out of Russian propaganda Smiley

As for minors-are you talking about Putin’s attraction to little boys and girls? I don’t know which comedian supplies them to him, but it’s disgusting; I agree with you Smiley

A Bit of Reality About BRICS That "No One Likes to Talk About"
The bloc is no longer just a club of emerging economies. Russia and China are trying to turn it into an anti-Western front (especially against the backdrop of Donald Trump’s new tariffs), while India, Brazil, and the UAE want to remain neutral and profit from both the East and the West.
The lack of a unified charter and binding decisions makes BRICS more of a forum for discussion than a real geopolitical alliance.

Anyone care to disagree? Smiley

Attacking India for trading with Russia

Imposing tariffs on Brazil because they form an alliance with China

What else?! Regime change leadership in the global south with coups when thry decide to gravited towards being independent and trading with their brothers. Why being so insure? Maybe they fear they'll be irrelevant?! If they cared less about BRICS and the alliance, why make all these hindrances to fight them? The multipolar world is coming, it could take longer than expected, but it is coming.

Well every state or block looks out for themselves.
Put another country in the position of the US and it is highly likely that they also abuse, or worse.
Global economy? An abusive mechanism where local industries get swallowed by a larger.
No system is good for everyone. But the worse system is where the state is in charge of redistribution.
When Germany was productive the state took 25% of each Mark produced.
2026 the state takes 53% and no end in sight.

No, No! We really have to look out for ourselves. No man and no one is an island.

Isn't that statement laughable? We all know who for centuries has abused human rights and also used nukes, killed good rulers while they plant in puppets with their interest. Look at how they have come to be the wealthiest nations, it shows you all you need to see.

Maybe true. Reasons why the multipolar world should allow every nation take that decision for themselves. Where they decide for themselves what they want to use for trade and who they should trade with. Also,  no aggressive system built on bullying last for ever, all empires and their weird af promises according to history ended. And you mistake if you think the multipolar world leaves another empire to replace it, no, it really has to do with full world and globe living on their own terms, rules and also currencies.

National interest is important to every nation. But there are international laws that guide how nations relate to others. These laws were designed to ensure that every nation is respected, regardless of its economic or political power. However, the current US government does not respect these rules, which are outlined in the United Nations Charter and trade agreements. In my lifetime, I have never seen a US government that is as insensitive and openly corrupt as the present one. A government that arrested and accused an Olympian of vandalising a pool just to cover up a $16 million fraud is shameless. If Trump can treat an American citizen this way, one will begin to wonder how others will be treated to cover up his lies and corruption.

Trump administration drops Reflecting Pool vandalism charge and admits 'botched' repairs

A year ago, the BRICS camp made statements, many and often, loud and powerful ! From the alternative of almost world economy, to their own currency and total dedollarization.... But very soon this wave of "euphoria and statements came to naught.

In my opinion, the problems of BRICS lie in the lack of an institutional structure, geopolitical disagreements among the participants and difficulties with the transition to national currencies. The lull periods are due to the fact that loud political statements have turned into a long process of harmonization, where no finalization of this procedure is in sight.

Four main problems can be distinguished:
- Internal conflicts: There are political tensions between members (e.g., historical rivalry between China and India, disagreements over expanding the list of partner countries)
- Difficulties of de-dollarization: It is impossible to completely abandon the dollar, as economies are highly dependent on trade with the West and dominant world reserves. Settlement in national currencies (Rupees, Yuan, Real) is slow due to trade imbalances
- Different economic structure: The bloc includes states with very different levels of development, investment base and technological potential
- Lack of a single center: Unlike the European Union or the G7, BRICS does not have a rigid charter, a permanent secretariat, or its own supranational currency

What do you think ? Your thoughts ?

BRICS is an illusion, a counter weight that some journalists made up when "the West" had relative economic supremacy for such a long time. These nations don't really have that much in common with each other and each of them has generally an equal relationship with the economic powerhouses - North America and Europe. It allows them to make up competition and more interesting stories that somehow these nations are in a competition with another trading bloc, but it's not true any more - if it ever was. China has actually outgrown all the other nations and is carving out it's own favorable groups of nations where it can, but it doesn't necessarily see trade partners on an equal footing and often manipulates deals too heavily in it's own favor (at least with the long term view).

To be honest, I am impressed on how these allies maintain that alliance while they're dealing their own internal border problems. It's not only about the expansion of partnership with other countries.

But they also have that border problem in the Himalayas. While there are diplomatic talks and possible truce, I've totally forgotten how's the situation there.

- Difficulties of de-dollarization: It is impossible to completely abandon the dollar, as economies are highly dependent on trade with the West and dominant world reserves. Settlement in national currencies (Rupees, Yuan, Real) is slow due to trade imbalances
Not only to trade balance but I think that not all of their allies are willing to shift wholly to CNY or any other its allies currency.

The willingness can't be seen to each of them because they have their respective trade power in the global setting.

What do you think ? Your thoughts ?
Initial enthusiasm over BRICS generated an expectation of sweeping, rapid change - like a common currency and immediate de-dollarization. In fact, even before these ambitions existed, achieving such outcomes was always going to require years, decades even. The core challenges are definitely internal divisions.

Countries, with varying political goals and economic interests, invariably have different economic growth paces, making the road to broad financial reform that much more winding.

But I don't think this means BRICS has been a failure so much as it has transitioned away from a phase of ambitious rhetoric and into one of pragmatic gradualism; we're seeing an increasing trend in the usage of local currencies in several bilateral arrangements, even if dollar dominance remains undeniable. De-dollarization as complete replacement is always going to be quite far from us given how deeply embedded it is in global financial systems. For me, I would look beyond the ambitious statements to more practical, gradual steps. In the longrun, increasing inter-members' use of local currencies in trade and investment, deepening of financial cooperation, etc, could certainly take hold, although it might not be happening at the pace everyone thought.

India is essentially sponsoring a global terrorist by buying its oil with dollars. India has learned its lesson; the attacks have stopped, and now the terrorist country sells oil for rupees, which can’t be used to purchase weapons to bolster Russia’s terrorist army.
There’s no problem-everyone forgot about it a long time ago Smiley
Brazil. Yeah, Trump really showed his idiocy to the fullest here. And what was the result? Brazil’s exports to India and China grew by over $3 billion, which is only to Brazil’s benefit. Where’s the problem here? Or do I just like this? Smiley
"Regime change in countries of the Global South through coups"-now that’s going to be interesting! Smiley Can you give some examples and share your perspective on each one? We’ll discuss it Smiley

And why did you remain silent, very modestly, I might add, about the fact that some BRICS members violate international sanctions, directly finance and aid terrorist-supporting countries, violate human rights, and perpetrate mass terror both in neighboring countries and against their own populations? Or is that not worth discussing? Smiley

The government who used nuclear weapons on human beings is not a global terrorist, the people who traveled kilometres and miles praying to land safely and enslave another continent is not a global terrorist but we should be worried about Russia? Real Africans know they're ( Russia) our friends and allies. Who do not consider them that way.

Refreshing I'd say to see someone at least admit Dumdum Trump is an actual idiot. I must admit  it gladdens my heart. I do not know too much about Brazil but I will read about it. As much as trust is established between themselves, more deals can be done in the future.
We've  talked about coups in the global south a lot, don't act like you don't know.

There's the US government who has done worse, no respect to human right laws and also international law. The hypocrisy though from the major advocate of these laws. Mind blowing.

There's this propaganda already against Burkina Faso Ibrahim Traore will soon be staged by western media's. Anticipating!

From above discussion i think we need to straighten out that BRICS are a coalition of interests, not an alliance of values or ideologies, comparing BRICS with other organization i think less relevant. Because BRICS member economic interest aligned, they formed or took part on coalition. BRICS measure of success are economic cooperation enhancement, trade expansion, Strengthened investment, financial and payment alternative and reduction of reliance on single global economic  center.

Due to each member has their own agenda with different political system, different security priority and different strategic interest, reaching a consensus process within its member appear slow but slow doesn't mean fail. As long as it serving the national interests of its members and can enhancing its member bargaining power on global economy, i think BRICS remain relevant and can continue their expansion. I think the absence of a requirement for ideological conformity make BRICS not easily broken up. Beside that on international relation conflict of interest are the state of nature, we see brexit on European Union or Turkiye and Greece has long dispute on NATO, its same like China and India relation.

In the worst case, it doesn't mean that one of the member or initiator commit a crime thent he entire organization is in trouble automatically, matter of fact BRICS not military alliance nor a human rights organization, nor a common market like the European Union, nor a trade organization like the WTO. So no common ideology only overlapping interest which make India and China remain in BRICS, its also reason Brazil has very close ties with China but still maintains strong relationship with US, Brazil need export market, investment and technology from both powerfull country. Even Saudi Arabia has US as security partner but also want expand China investment.

But something doesn’t add up here?

You maybe sometimes forget that there are people from all parts of the world, and for a topic like this it depends on who you ask and who is responding to you. People from some countries who are exposed to one kind of propaganda will say that Russia is the terrorist state, others will say that it is the US, some others that it is Iran and such. You can actually do some good guessing about where someone is from depending on what they write here. Many users in Europe and even more in Ukraine see Russia as the terrorist state, some other countries see them as friend and we have the same situation for the US.

Refreshing I'd say to see someone at least admit Dumdum Trump is an actual idiot. I must admit  it gladdens my heart. I do not know too much about Brazil but I will read about it. As much as trust is established between themselves, more deals can be done in the future.
But this isn't really a topic about Trump and the US, maybe only how that relates to the BRICS alliance.

What you wrote here is not correct like this, you maybe want to say that direct comparison is not correct because this should not be done when things are very different like directly comparing BRICS to NATO because they are completely different things. But comparisons can be done between things that are different, it is quite a commonly used analytical tool. For example, since BRICS is an alliance that is loosely based on some interests you can compare it to the EU but to analyze what it is missing compared to the EU and what steps it should take if it wants to become an alliance like that. I am not saying that this is what they want, I am giving an example of how comparison can be used in things like that. This is a very common way of comparing, because then you can figure out reasons why different things produce different outcomes and maybe try to understand also why.

We've  talked about coups in the global south a lot, don't act like you don't know.
https://youtube.com/shorts/Q_mE_EHl8Ek?si=z0HbMZVFjYAsRrs2
There's the US government who has done worse, no respect to human right laws and also international law. The hypocrisy though from the major advocate of these laws. Mind blowing.

There's this propaganda already against Burkina Faso Ibrahim Traore will soon be staged by western media's. Anticipating!

I understand your point of view. "It’s all the U.S.’s fault"! I heard that as a kid when I lived in the USSR. All of the USSR’s failures were blamed on "the U.S". True, the residents of the Moscow Kingdom /Rosisi/USSR forgot exactly how the U.S. SAVED this country from total collapse three times Smiley If you’d like, just for you, I’ll give you a free crash course in history and facts, because you can’t figure this out on your own Smiley
But let’s get back to the topic!
The U.S. used nuclear weapons against Japan. NO ONE DENIES THAT! But then you have to mention the other facts as well. It was the U.S. that later made Japan the country it is today.

And then you MUST mention - how many people did the communist regime EXTERMINATE in the most sadistic ways all over the world? Or is that a different matter? Smiley
Don’t you want to mention how many people Muscovy, the Russian Empire, the USSR, and Russia have exterminated and how many cities they’ve destroyed? Or is that a different matter too? I understand that in a one-dimensional world with a single brain cell, where the U.S. is to blame for everything, life is extremely simple Smiley
The fact that Trump is an idiot is the only thing I agree with you on Smiley
P.S. By the way, here’s a question that supporters of "anti-Israel movements" always cowardly avoid Smiley
Please tell me: Does Israel oppress Muslims? Smiley After you answer this question, I’ll ask the next one - otherwise, you’ll start beating around the bush and running away from the answer Smiley

And by the way, still on the topic - do you have anything to say about the "BRICS successes" after half a year of complete silence, following last year’s hysteria about "the destruction of the dollar and the collapse of the Western world due to the power of BRICS"? Just the facts, please-no propaganda or wild fantasies. We’re smart people, and we’ll verify any claim you make Smiley

As the saying goes: Things were going well,  one might even say wonderfully, in the "prosperous BRICS", but with each passing day, they’re getting worse and worse Smiley

1. An unprecedented blow to Iran and the threat of secondary sanctions.
The most acute challenge of the past month was the U.S. Administration’s declaration of an "economic D-Day" against Iran (a full member of BRICS). Large-scale economic strangulation: The U.S. Treasury Department imposed "unprecedented" secondary sanctions and blocked Iran’s ports (including the critically important island of Kharg).
Risks for other members: Washington is directly threatening harsh measures against any countries or vessels that continue to purchase Iranian oil or conduct transactions with Tehran. This hits China and India—Iran’s main trading partners within BRICS—hard.

2. Transportation collapse in strategic straits.
Naval blockades and escalating conflicts have severely disrupted the bloc’s logistics. Shipping crisis: The normal functioning of the Middle East’s two most important maritime gateways—the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait—has effectively been paralyzed. Blow to trade: More than 1.2 billion metric tons of cargo pass through these points annually. BRICS countries, especially energy exporters and importers (the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, and India), are incurring colossal losses due to a sharp rise in freight rates, a shortage of tankers, and currency volatility.

3. The freeze on a single currency and disputes over de-dollarization.
Ahead of the summit, divisions within BRICS have intensified regarding the future of the financial system. Rejection of a single currency: The group’s leaders (including Brazilian President Lulu da Silva) have officially acknowledged that the project to create a single supranational BRICS currency has been temporarily shelved due to the lack of a common legal framework and political trust. Internal sabotage: India and Saudi Arabia are openly resisting the creation of centralized BRICS payment institutions, fearing a direct confrontation with the U.S. and new American tariffs. New Delhi is promoting exclusively bilateral settlements and the integration of national systems (such as UPI), thereby blocking the formation of a unified "China–Russia" axis.

4. Institutional Deadlock and Suspension of Expansion
The desire of dozens of countries in the Global South to join BRICS has run up against an internal growth crisis.
Due to deep political and structural differences between the "old" and "new" members, BRICS has officially suspended the admission of new members, shifting the process to an indefinite "partnership" format. Within the expanded group (BRICS+), it has not yet been possible to develop a unified governance model.

P.S. BRICS had a wonderful idea: uniting for the sake of development. But "thanks" to certain toxic members, it has been turned into an alliance for a pointless battle against "windmills", all to satisfy the insecurities of certain rogue nations...

It’s quite funny to watch how yesterday’s apologists for "BRICS will wipe the dollar off the face of the earth" don’t have a single, even the slightest, argument on this topic.
Populism and a lack of critical thinking, just an attempt to shout out unsubstantiated slogans that sound good, that’s the portrait of our glorious "BRICS dollar fighters" Smiley

P.S. I’m guessing the response will be something like, "This topic doesn’t interest us BRICS fans" Smiley
Of course it doesn’t interest you if you can’t engage in a well-reasoned, substantive dialogue, and your populist statements are instantly shattered by facts that you can’t counter with anything but fantasy Smiley
