I want to share a serious issue I experienced on Stake.com, which completely stems from a technical infrastructure error on their side. Since their support team has been absolutely unhelpful, I am posting this here to raise awareness and warn everyone.

Yesterday (June 30, 2026), during the live match between France and Sweden, I suffered an unfair financial loss due to a technical system glitch. Here are the details of the incident:

🚨 Incident Summary & Technical Issue

During the live match, I attempted to place a bet of €652.17. While the coupon was processing, the system generated a "Bet Rejected" error.

Because the bet was rejected, the €652.17 stake was immediately credited back to my active account balance.

Since the platform explicitly stated that the wager failed and returned my funds, I closed the website, confident that no active bet was running.

After the match concluded, I logged back into my account only to discover that Stake.com had retroactively and automatically approved the previously rejected coupon without my consent or knowledge. Since the bet lost, my balance was wiped out.

⚠️ Grounds for Complaint

Lack of User Consent: The system officially told me "This bet was not placed" and refunded my money. It was impossible for me to monitor, manage, or cash out a bet that I was told did not exist.

Unfair Practice: Despite contacting Stake support, they refuse to acknowledge this blatant system lag and technical glitch. Reviving a rejected coupon after the match progression is completely unacceptable.

I have already submitted an official complaint to the Curacao Gaming Authority (CGC) demanding an investigation into their system logs for this Bet ID.

Has anyone else experienced a similar glitch on this platform, or do you have any advice on how to proceed? Be very careful with live betting on Stake.

This is not because I am wearing Stake campaign signature, but it is just an honest opinion because I make use of the betting site mostly among the betting sites that I using. In fact, since 2 years now, I am only making use of Stake.com for betting on sports and gambling with casino games. The only problem that I have seen before is if I selected some matches and not yet bet with it and the browser refreshes, I will have to reselect the matches again. But while betting, I have not seen any error before.

It has not happened to me before, but if it happened to me, I will not see it as big deal. There was a time that I chose reality stimulated game instead of the real match. What I predicted came true, but the reality simulated game was the opposite. I went to Stake to see the money that I won, I saw nothing. I later noticed that I chose the wrong match. I always used very small amount of money to bet, which made not just think about it at all.

If Toolz33 won the bet, he will be happy by now but not report anything to anyone about it but enjoying the profit.

If it was true, sorry about the loss. If you go to other gambling site, just pay attention to the error. Although, I have not noticed it before on stake.

I am very sorry for your experience, personally, I have been betting on stake since 2022 or so if I still remember well and fortunate enough, I've never had any issue of this sort, countless number of times I've had a similar experience where I try to place a bet, especially live bets with odds constantly changing, and the bet will be rejected on grounds that odds changed or for any other reason, and the funds that I was to use to place the bet will be refunded to my account immediately, I've never had the experience of leaving the casino after such incident, then returning back to see that a bet that was rejected was later accepted without my consent, and I've never heard or read any one complain about something like this happening to them, this is my first.

Anyways, I am not saying what you experienced is impossible to happen, but since you've reported the matter to their licence issuer, let's look forward to a peaceful resolution is all I can say at the moment, and hope you get your money back if indeed your claim is true.

never seen or read it before. a canceled bet is canceled and there is no way to find it again.
have you seen at what time has been placed? maybe you had some betting option "accept any odd", the odds changed during the bet but has been processed...

That's really sad to hear. It seems like a complete system glitch. What I do is that after placing a live bet on any platform, if there is an error, I always take a screenshot of it. And immediately check my active bets tab. Don't assume that a bet is rejected, it means it's completely cancelled.

Have you tried appealing to their higher support team with a screenshot, Bet ID and timestamp? Glitches can happen, but honesty and transparency from the bookies are important. I can't believe that Stake support could be unhelpful and could ban you for this reason. You could share the chat history if you have already talked with the support team.

I’ve been betting for 20 years. I’m no amateur. Stake.com has literally stolen my money, and the representative in the chat, called Lazar, isn’t replying to me. He’s literally making a mockery of me. This is incredibly frustrating I must say because I know what it's like to lose a bet you didn't make because it has happened to me too on on of our local sportsbook called sportybet of which on that said day, there was a technical glitch. I couldn't cash out nor did I win nor could I bet again. It was hell that day but the sportsbook apologized for the glitch and they did well to reward some of the gamblers or didn't.
So am positive that stake would also respond if you follow the right channels because an sure you weren't only the affected participant that fateful day.

If you haven't heard of Askgamblers or CasinoListings before, now you have, and you can post your case details here because they would hold stake accountable under a time frame to respond of face risking their public rating on record.

You could also try posting your issues on the stake forum, that is, forum.stake.com where you could get community managers to escalate this issue for you.

Lastly, you could try to send a well detailed email to the official compliance and legal channels which is addressed to compliance@stake.com or support@stake.com and hopefully you can get this issue resolved in time.

After using Stake for so long, I've never encountered this issue. When I'm collecting multiple bet options in a parlay or single bet, I occasionally refresh the page and all my selected options remain the same.

Regarding the OP issue, I may have experienced this yesterday, but when my bet was rejected, I refreshed the page and my balance was still intact. Then I placed another bet and everything was fine.

If this is true, then it is a serious issue. I never faced an issue like this in any casino. I initially thought that the OP had some connection issues while placing a bet and, unbeknownst to him, the bet went through. It is really difficult to prove this situation from our end, unless you are recording when you place a bet, it is impossible to identify the issue by checking the system logs.

Do you check your active bets after the error occur or you just close your account thinking everything was not processed?

There might be an error on their display but the fact that you placed that bet is your own decision. So what if the bet won? Also, how can you prove that there’s truly an error on your place bet while there’s no active bet going through after the error occur?

The money had been refunded to my account, and the bet had been rejected. But when I closed the page, they activated the bet a short while later. It’s a complete scam. Unfortunately, I have no proof.

Never heard about anything like this, also it never happened to me. Definitely a tricky case because unless you have a video or whatever about this happening it's basically their word against yours. And since they are the one holding your money I guess we all know where this is going, exactly nowhere.
But anyway, very strange case and hard to pick a side obviously. Not saying you are making this up of course, but maybe you saw something wrong. Just saying this cause it just sounds so off.
Anyway, after today I yet again don't trust stake as well. What they pulled with their "mistakenly" showing the crypto bonus pop up to many players (including me) and then not paying up is one shady move too much for me.

If you asked me I must say that this is unfair behavior because when the site do not approved the bet, it is assumed that your balance was intact and you do not need anything to care about your balance anymore, but to no reason after the match concluded and you decide to long in to stake.com and you observed your balance was drained up?
To frank, this could be a system error and I have also witness some few things about the site which I don't like because they need to advance on that where if a gambler have to book all his game and eventually he refreshed the page everything gets wipe off you must have to revisits those games that you have booked before, just imagined if you had around 10 matches selected and you have few moment for the match to start live what would you do if you incur such with stake.com?
