Of course, I believe those who rely on AI Prediction have thier reasons for doing that just like you said that AI make your time to be more efficient due to it's speed, and I must say that you have a point there because I could imagine the time it takes before you can  actually make a bet. The time it takes is one thing another thing is network, sometimes you might be having a poor internet connection at that point when you issue a command it will prolong until the network is restored. So AI could actually save you from This stress.

I’m pretty sure your friend isn’t the only person who is using AI predictions to make bets (which I think is a big risk btw), it’s okay to use AI for your analysis like finding the head to head stats between the teams and such. Your predictions should be yours, look at it this way, if the developers who made AI were confident that AI could make accurate gambling predictions then they would have been billionaires from gambling so why do you think that you (an end-user) should depend on Ai prediction.

You have done the right way to give advice to him. Of course, we can't solely rely on AI because AI can't guarantee the win in betting. It can lead us to win few matches, but it may lead us to get losses in the rest of the matches. However, it doesn't mean we mustn't use AI. Using AI is okay, but we must also have our own prediction. AI prediction can be one of the considerations in betting, but it shouldn't be a single consideration to place the bet.

So far, I have no friends who use AI for placing betting. They use their own ways to predict the result of the matches.

Maybe that's where his age is. You might give AI a try and it might not work for you too. Using AI is like a black box. You might be winning but you have to way of knowing how or why you're winning which is very useful info to have at your fingertips when the losses start coming in (and they eventually will). When it comes to football Al is not reliable because it can't predict the outcome of football matches. I have seen people who claim to be winning on the FIFA world cup with the help of Al but i doubt it to be true. I believe they are just betting on the favorite teams, or they are winning out of luck, i can't fully agree that Al is actually the tool behind their winnings.

This is important because it is not always about the strategy, but also about the outcome. We might already presume that this guy is using AI and that he will lose in the long run, but what if the results are profitable? Then maybe we are wrong.

Personally, I use AI to help me analyze the games I bet on, but I am not totally reliant on it.

It does not really matter whether Artificial intelligence works or not, though. The most of the people who don't understand technology will see artificial intelligence and believe it is some thing of magical thing which could provide them with advantage against other bettors which do not use it.
In the end, even if a lot of people lose their money because they have no idea about what they are doing with their money, the result is always the same: an increase of betting volume on bookies and casinos, which is ultimately good for the business.

I agree with you that AI is not a magical guarantee of winning. AI is not bad though, but to me AI is mostly used when the gambler is tired and confused of what to predict, and just needed to try another strategy just to win before they adopt the use of AI. Another thing is that people who use AI are mostly people who don't know how to make prediction or are not confident about their prediction. AI prediction to me is not even advisable in this world cup because I don't know what AI want to predict. It is better to just use IQ to make a personal prediction than using AI.

Though AI can be so helpful in terms of detecting the strength of various teams and provide sufficient data that can aid up our prediction no doubt, but can't actually give accurate results in most cases, you still hope for luck to take it cost. No doubt that AI have become a tool which some bettors are using to check stats very fast and accurately but as far as I'm concerned that is where AI accuracy ends, when it comes to winning your bets what you need mostly is luck. In sports anything can happen, an underdog can come from behind and surprise fans and bettors to win a match which most analysts and AI would give to the favorite to win. I don't take bets so serious to the extent of using AI I also bet with small money for entertainment so I prefer to rely on my own analysis which is more fun for me.

Same applies I me, this is not the first experience of seeing some depending on AI for their gambling predictions, I will only go against overdependency of this, because the purpose is to serve as an information source and render us hints to how we could successfully gamble, but not a determinant to whether we are going to win or not, AI is just a tool, we can also know more better about the sport in consideration and place our bet safely without AI consultation and win, it only depends on our choice to what we play.
