New bettors due to the World Cup and AI

I am one of the people who use AI as a tool in betting on the World Cup competition, AI can make my time more efficient because of its speed in providing data, besides, there are many countries whose strengths I don't know so AI is indeed very helpful, but I realize that AI is only a tool, all the final decisions are always in my hands.

Though AI can be so helpful in terms of detecting the strength of various teams and provide sufficient data that can aid up our prediction no doubt, but can't actually give accurate results in most cases, you still hope for luck to take it cost. Personally, I haven't try using Ai seen my intention is just have fun with a little amount I can afford to lost, moreover using Ai doesn't guaranteed anything in gamble especially wen too desperate about it, all we should be hoping for is to enjoy every single moment of the game without crossing dangerous lines that will cause regret.

No doubt that AI have become a tool which some bettors are using to check stats very fast and accurately but as far as I'm concerned that is where AI accuracy ends, when it comes to winning your bets what you need mostly is luck. In sports anything can happen, an underdog can come from behind and surprise fans and bettors to win a match which most analysts and AI would give to the favorite to win. I don't take bets so serious to the extent of using AI I also bet with small money for entertainment so I prefer to rely on my own analysis which is more fun for me.

That's it. No need of stressing much when luck is the  main thing that determines everything. However, trying various means to secure winnings seems more of being too desperate to me so it's better to stay cool with my little bet while I have fun.

I have not tried that AI betting in this World cup since I understand that AI can't give me a clear strength of the nations I want to bet on because what AI provide is only statistics based on their overall game played but AI can't give me a statistics on eye test that only watching the game will give you. Cabo Verde played very well against Argentina and almost could have gotten something out of their match but they had no chance against Argentina if you were to research on who is likely going to win using AI since the statistics will always favour Argentina. Sometimes it is better we watch the game ourselves and make our judgement based on how we see the teams play instead of just depending on the statistics that AI gives us.

Thankfully, people aren’t that dumb near me. They don’t trust AI for everything. They know that AI-generated predictions are based on training data. AI analyses that data and uses it to predict the winners.

Do we really need to rely on AI for betting? According to me, no. It’s your own money, so you should be the one responsible for doing the research and choosing the best team. If you lose because of AI’s prediction, you’ll just blame the AI. But if you lose because of your own decision, you’ll understand the game better and might make better picks next time.

So basically, OP, I think your friend needs to be careful. He might win a few games by following AI, but in the long run, he’ll almost always end up with a negative balance.

I have seen bettors around me make their betting decisions based on what AI recommends, not just in this World Cup but in most of the sports and competitions they bet on; they rely more on the AI prediction than they can do for themselves, and that could be more dangerous for someone who doesn't know how to predict in the first place since there is no way they can spot out which game doesn't sit well with them.

That's nice, so how is their gambling results so far? Are you able to see their results? I don't see any need in trying AI out for my gambling prediction since I mostly engage in slots on casinos, how can AI help me in Slots?

I also know someone who uses AI for sports bet and the result isn't confusing enough to fully rely on AI for future bets but that's all fine and good, this is still one person's AI prediction result.

Problem with predictions of AI in sports betting is that majority of the tools people are using are simplest types of pattern recognition using past data. They generally dont have real time things like injury news, team morale, strategy changes, match day weather conditions. There is nothing magical about model trained from past results, it is just statistics. Have seen in this World Cup. Individuals who have never bet now have apps and are confidently providing their predictions. Majority of them will lose money and vanish while tournament is still running. That pattern is repeated for every big event, no matter what can they do with.
