You can earn back money but you will never be able to gain someone's trust back. For example you lose 5 thousand dollars in a bad deal. You can manage to get it back by one way or the other like working overtime or start again but if you lose someone's trust the doors might get shut forever. Reputation is a single street.

Money open the doors while trust keeps them open. You will be able to get your first meeting with an investor or partner while trust will give you repeat business and referrals. Money has the price while trust is the multiplier. Money is the tool but trust is the capital. What are your thoughts?


Yeah I agree money can be earned back again but a broken trust is hard to gain again and also trust is important especially with connections because the more trusted you are there will be more word about you from people to other people where they recommend you because you are trusted it can build connections so trust with clients or people should be really cherished and not let them down.

To be successful in life you need people to trust you, the reason why people will come to you for business is because they know you can execute the business with them and they will get their own part of the money, if people don’t trust you and you have money it will be very difficult for you to increase that money because no body will be interested to do business with you, trust will open a lot of doors for you, their was a contract of supply that was given to me some months back and the person that connected me to that company told them I was trustworthy and the reason he told them that was because I have worked with him so many times and I have not disappointed him, trust is everything you need to be successful and highly connected in life.

To succeed in life, you need to prove your value.  Trust from others will come as a result, no one will trust you simply because you try to convince them.

People will do business with you because they see the value you can bring, not necessarily because they trust you. In business, profit alway comes first. They are willing to cooperate with you even if they do not completely trust you, as long as they see that the cooperation benefit both parties.

Trust may open the door, but it is the value and benefit you bring that sustain that relationship. Try offering a product that does not meet their standard. I think they will not want to do business with you anymore, even if you are honest.

This happens alot, some people may not understand how important trust is, there's no two ways about it, trust have a way of uplifting ones business.
It is just like giving your customers your words from the day they started patronizing you that you'll continue to keep to buying original goods, if you keep to your words, you will win their heart and there won't be any reason for them to go to any other store to buy things since they know that you sell the original ones, it will also make them to refer their friends and family to buy from you because of the trust they have in you.

What are your thoughts?
For the fact that money can usually be earned again but then rebuilding trust takes time and consistent actions and even sometimes may not be fully possible, i think it is safe to say trust is more valuable especially how expensive trust is. I don't think trust is always lost forever though, like for people and businesses, trust can be regained through honesty, accountability and a genuine commitment to change.
At the end of the day, just like you said, money can create opportunities, but trust is what sustains them cause once people know they can rely on your word and your character, they are far more willing to keep doing business with you. In the long run, trust becomes one of your greatest assets and you have use it wisely.

OP I completely agree with you, there is no question of having two opinions here. Trust is something that once it is lost from someone, that trust can never be earned with money. And once the trust is broken, the full trust can never be placed on the one who is broken, so whatever is done, first of all, one should keep one's trust intact and one should not break trust with anyone. In terms of money, if it is said that money can be earned today or tomorrow, but it is never right to betray anyone for this money.
