However, not everyone will gain the chance to work on their dream jobs. Not everyone will be lucky to find passion on their job.

This is the simple truth about life. Despite the fact that mot everyone will have this opportunity but that is not supposed to stop us from doing what we do to survive. Understanding that it is mostly a privilege to do what you love doing, we should find way to enjoy what they do because nothing beats happiness. Innovations that are coming will continue to change how jobs are distributed, so we have to adapt rather than chasing what makes us happy.

What you should be after should be that you're getting a commensurate pay and that it's legal and doesn't affect your health. If these three things are in place, every other things are secondary and you can easily build them as a reason of neccesity.

Which one are you? Which side works best for you in the past till now?

Is this related to finances? I do both because I have to balance pleasure and responsibility; it's not a matter of which works best. If someone can fulfill their responsibilities while pursuing what they enjoy, that's actually everyone's desire, but unfortunately, not everyone gets it.

Nothing can beat the love, attention and skill you use on something you enjoy doing.

This is correct especially in the working environment, those that enjoy the work are naturally inclined to do more efficient work and are generally more productive than those who don't really like the work and are doing it just to put food on their table.
Normally, most people start off from jobs or career they don't really fancy, because of survival, it becomes important that you slowly transition to the career you want because you can never feel a sense of fulfillment and natural drive in your job until you do what you're naturally inclined to. Then you do the work effortlessly and would want to upgrade your skills in order to do more to get better results.

I don't think so because when you do a job you enjoy doing, your productivity naturally increases and talking productivity is talking economics. The issue here is that OP being a newbie didn't prepare the topic well.

This is only true if you are single, have no financial responsibilities, and do not need to take care of anyone. But once you have a family and the rent, electricity bill and daily living expenses all depend on you, everything changes. Believe me, a stable job with enough income to support your family is far more important than a job you love but that does not provide a decent living wage.

Life is harsh. Sometimes, we do not have a choice to do what we like, but must do what needs to be done.

The reality is that most people live for responsibility and obligation rather than passion.

When you are trying to survive or build capital for a business, you do any kind of job that pays the most. I know one needs to find satisfaction or love what he does but there is a time to build financial stability. I love teaching but it is the lowest-paying job in my location. This is why I ventured into different businesses that I hate doing because I want to build my financial capacity.

Immediately I am financially stable, I aim to relocate to a rural area where I would volunteer in a local school. At that point, I would be following my passion and not money. Until then, now is the time to pursue financial stability because the economy is not smiling.

Passion could be a motivation but in this current economic situation, you would also have to engage in tasks you find hard if it gives a better financial reward.

For success in any work, I think a person has something to like, but it is more effective if that person is very determined to succeed. Those who always have their will to succeed and can focus in that way can definitely succeed. But there are most people who at some point in working on their goal, they get frustrated and stop working. And because of this decision, they fail later. Even if the work is difficult but there is joy and inspiration in the person, then that person will definitely be able to complete that work well. Moreover, if there is no joy in the work, it is difficult to do that work. Even any easy work becomes difficult. In my case, desire and joy both are necessary.

Well if you ask me, I’ll say that enjoying the process while still being able to do the difficult stuffs when it’s necessary works pretty well for me. Enjoyment makes it a lot more easier for someone to remain consistent and discomfort or challenges on the other hand leads to growth and improvement. So when one actually combines both of them, you kinda actually get the best results, because you’re simultaneously doing what pleases you and still embracing the challenges that comes with that thing.

I think there needs to be a balance between the two. If you do something just because you like it, your progress often stops and if you work hard just for the sake of it, it is difficult to survive for a long time. In fact, you know when a person finds himself in a situation where there is no other way but to work hard to survive, then gradually that difficult work becomes his habit. The work that he once did not want to do at all, with time it feels natural and even starts to feel good.  In my opinion people do not learn many things by liking it, but rather by adapting to the situation.

The bottom line in doing what you love to give you money or wealth depends on how well you focus your attention on making what you do marketable and buyable.
One can't just love doing something that has no financial returns unless it's just for personal amusement and entertainment.

Otherwise, fulfillment is found in sticking to and doing that which one loves to always do and that is a payment on its own before we talk about how this commitment creates value and value in turn brings money and a great name as its reward.

I think the best progress happens when we combine both discipline and enjoyment together if you enjoyed doing something then it is easy for us to be consistent we don’t need to force ourself everyday to do that thing and that thing become rewarding at the end. There are multiple times when you are doing something for long period of time and that become repetitive sometimes it become frustating and uncomfortable and then it reaches the point where we lose the motivation to do that work and at that time the discipline take over and help us to be more consistent with that thing.

Something is difficult and it is taking time to be completed and to reach our goal does not demand us to rely on the discomfort, instead we should pave the path sometime challenges are there in the life that shapes us help us to grow but there are some challenges that waste our time and energy and we should know the basic difference between them.

I don't think there is any single thing we do that didn't once appear difficult at its initial time before we enjoy doing it. However, they all appear difficult before we later master them, and it begins to become easier and simpler for us to do.

Take for instance, a baby who starts or learns to walk anew. It will appear difficult for the baby at the early stage, but as time goes on, they begin to walk perfectly and enjoy it as they grow. That's how it is,  in all those things that appear simple to us now. I am using the little baby walk as an illustration, to tell everyone that nothing appears simple without consistency in doing it before becoming perfectly done as of today we see it as something to enjoy while doing it.

Which one are you? Which side works best for you in the past till now?

None, I guess. In the past, I used to do what I loved and wanted to pursue my passion. However many things changed and I was forced to adapt and out of my comfort zone. Right now, I'm doing something that isn't my passion but I'm still giving it my maximum effort because it's the best solution for my current situation. I don't know whether I'll return to pursuing my passion in the future or not especially since nowadays we're expected to adapt to the constant changes and developments happening around the world. So, having an adaptable mindset will open up many opportunities for us whether we like it or not for survive, we have to adapt.

When people are giving others advices online and even offline, they will say that things take you enjoy doing won't get you anywhere because they are making you feel comfortable.

They are both right and wrong.
Doing what we enjoy will keep our passion burning, but there is a difference between doing what we are passionate about and doing it correctly while also doing it above and beyond to achieve something amazing.
Some people said that pursuing our passions won't lead to success because people aren't giving it their all. Instead, we should identify the issue in the space, find a solution to it, and then make money from it.
The majority of people, including Satoshi, Elon Musk, and Sam Altman, whom we refer to as geniuses, did something. The funny thing is the concept was always researched and written by someone else years ago, but the product never materialized because of a barrier that made the idea appear foolish before someone took over it, fixed the drawback and launch it.

In today's world, where money is prioritized and considered the most important factor. Any job that provides good income and meets people's expectation can naturally make them enjoy it. Even if it is not their passion.
Most people complain and do not put in their best effort because they feel the rewards are not worth the work, not because it is not their favorite job.

During times of job scarcity, what we need to do is appreciate what we have and be content with it, instead of constantly feeling dissatisfied with our current situation.
