What makes you unstoppable?

Something you do out of enjoyment? For example you keep doing that one thing to reach your goal simply because you enjoy doing it, this makes you not want to stop and either it's successful or not you don't care.

Something you do out of inconvenience, striving so hard to make it work and realising later that this is all you needed to make things work?

Which one are you? Which side works best for you in the past till now?

When people are giving others advices online and even offline, they will say that things take you enjoy doing won't get you anywhere because they are making you feel comfortable.

They proceed by saying that those things you find very hard to do has the key to what you hope for.....
While others said that enjoying doing something keeps you going, you won't want to stop because you enjoy doing it anyway.

This is why I come up with this question

There is no match to doing something you enjoy doing, its more like a burning forest that never stops no matter what. It gives a sense of purpose and passion to overcome every challenge and that should be the spirit every hustler should possess.

When it comes to doing what you don't enjoy doing, it becomes easier after a period to stop because you dont see any purpose with it. Comfortability does not mean you're not doing the right thing, it simply fuels your drive to keep going.

What you do also has a major part to play in all of this, because as long as what you enjoy doing has a purpose there is every possibility that success is inevitable.

So what I'm trying to say is...... Nothing.

Both matter bro, but for different reasons and depend on different factors too. Enjoyment will keep you consistent while if you are in discomfort then it will force you to grow out of that position and will force you to choose enjoyment a place which you like to work at, or something you love to do. I am doing a job at discomfort because this is not what I wanted to do. I wanted to become something else, so now I am being forced out to grow into something I like.

But this is not new with me, because once I become what I wanted to, I will feel good for first few months, and later if I started to enjoy it, eventually that joy fades as driving car is enjoyment when you are learning and after a year you hate it.

The advice that comfort zones kill progress are also half true, because doing hard things will build you but if you are doing something you hate, it will burn you out. Once you will go through it you will know how relaxing it is when you are doing what you enjoy doing.

Obviously, what makes you unstoppable is when you do something that you actually enjoy doing, especially if we are talking about professional life. I believe that those who actually get to do what they like as a profession are the luckiest people in this world. Imagine you love playing video games, and you actually manage to become either a professional gamer like an esports player or maybe a gaming streamer where you stream and play games for a living. You can't ask for anything else, can you? You are doing what you love doing, and then you are making money from it as well, that's the best you can get.

Unfortunately, in this world, most people don't get that privilege, because you will surely be compelled to do something that you don't generally like doing but you have to do it because you are not able to do what you like as a profession since you didn't have the opportunities to do that. Life isn't fair with everyone, but there is literally nothing you can do about that. When you enter the practical life, and understand that the imaginary world you had in your mind from childhood was actually just a dream and things aren't that way at all, and you have to adapt and adjust even when you are not totally comfortable.

I cant pick a side so I guess I fall between both scenarios.

I do things which give me enjoyment, thats obvious - I guess everyone does that but its
balanced with the necessary inconvenience of essential tasks. I cant believe nobody
experiences this. Life just isnt utopia all of the time.

Becoming unstoppable means being able to apply ones self to navigate through both
scenarios to reach an end goal and to realise especially with tasks which are difficult
and inconvenient that they are achievable with dedication and patience.

As more and more of these are completed we can realise that the difficult stuff can
become less daunting.

What you love doing at ease takes you far. When I was little, I had a talent in high demand. Clubs, churches, and other entertainment platforms kept calling for me, but it turned out my parents wanted something different for me. I had to stop it and focus on education. Yet, when I participated in an activity in higher college, people saw how talented I was in that area, and still the shine didn't stop. What im trying to say is that what you have passion in doing, doesnt hide itself. People will see it and appreciate you for it.

It is the dream of everyone to be paid for doing what they love doing but the truth is that not everyone has the privilege of doing what they love doing and getting well paid. I know that there is this joy and excitement that comes with succeeding in area you love and desire. However, you can make what you do fun by simply finding ways of enjoying it, adding innovation such as AI.  Whatever pays the bills should be what matters

You can do something out of inconvenience, but it would be hard also sustaining that way, so I think its still useless anyway. Sometimes, it does not matter how you started it, but its the end result that would tell if you have succeeded or fail in your purpose.

However, there are also realities in life that even if you don't like it at the start, the fact that you make a good living from it, your family and friends also benefit from it, then its not hard to develop love on it, and one day you'll wake up that you can no longer live your life without doing it. That becomes your passion unconsciously.

If there is no drive towards something, you feel less interested in it.

There has to be a reason you what to do something of particular. It's either for physical benefits, financial benefits or even emotional benefits. If all depends. But there must be a reason behind all actions

Though regrets doesn't solve any problem and we must be aware of that. The best thing to do is to move on and find something else. When on path doesn't seem to be working as planned, we have to move to something else and not waste time or efforts.

How about for the both of it? because of inconvenience we have found a way to enjoy something and at the same time it is helping us to reach our goal. Because there will be no one out there for us to help us in the times of need. And that's inconvenient when we rely on the other people and yet, we're strong and have the capacity and strength in doing it ourselves. We don't want to stop working and the inspiration is about the hardship of life and how the people from the bottom have barely no choice but to deal with inconvenience. So, we want to get out of it and no need to choose side for this because both might work.

I never know anyone who enjoyed what they were doing and got financially successful with it, since this is posted in economic section, so I assume we are talking about the financial one. And do what you enjoy is that a lame excuse created to ignore the responsibilities or even they wished for and settled with something less and made peace with it.

However, I personally knew and witnessed some who made it from disrespect and shame when they were poor, who just kept them keep going all the time.

I am going to take the maybe less popular point of view here. Enjoyment has lied to me more times than inconvenience ever has. Enjoyment does not ask you to prove anything. Come, go, feel good.

The "do hard things" group of self-helpers is not entirely incorrect. Simply, they are not good at communicating why. A difficulty is not necessarily a virtue. It is that difficulty is a filter. Most things you enjoy, you will abandon when they become inconvenient. The ones that you do not give up on? These are the genuine ones.

Looking back, all the important things I have accomplished stem from times I should have quit and did not. Not because I was grinding. Because something in me had already decided this was non-negotiable before my conscious mind caught up.

So enjoyment opens the door. However, inconvenience will tell you if you really want to live in the house.

I think people overthink this. For me, it is simple, if you don't enjoy something, you will not by any chance stick with it. The hard work only pays off when there is something you care about behind it. So it is not really about choosing between fun or struggle. It is about knowing why you are doing it. When you have that reason, both the good days and the tough days make sense. If you are just grinding without any passion, you will surely burn out fast. But if you are only having fun with no effort, you might not grow at all.

What keeps you enjoy doing will definitely take you longer, there's no argument with that. But I want to share also my different case.

Currently, I am working on something I didn't expect I would be in this kind of industry, far from my field of specialization. At first, it was never my like or my passion, but since life gets better with my current job, more earning opportunities are open, I learned to build my interest and dedicate most of my hours there. I realized somehow its not passion that keeps you going, but its the commitment and dedication you pour into it that makes it work and stay longer in your life.

Several years ago I quit my job and, after a while, I started translating as a means of subsistence. What started as a necessity became a hobby, and I remember translating piecework in the early hours of the morning, as if I were in a trance, reading in English and translating directly into Spanish without practically stopping to think, in a complete state of flow.

Unfortunately, today this is no longer profitable as a means of livelihood due to AI, but I'm glad I enjoyed that moment and I still feel that mood as I look back on those days.

It's a dream come true when people are getting paid but it has two sides to it, one is those who are doing it out of getting paid only , they don't care about the job other than getting paid.

The second are those who enjoy doing that job and getting paid while doing it, and if I have to drop something base on my environment I will say that many people are not happy with what they are doing to get the bills paid.

Many adults even want their youthful days back, where they struggle less for things, they are drained out completely, some of them even started playing video games just to feel better.

As for me there is always a price to pay, if all you want is easy life you are going to get it, but easy life have it's prices too that you gotta pay, and that price is hardship, if you run away from your battles because you don't feel comfortable with it you will pay more in future.

Practicality in life teaches us what matters more than just enjoying what we're doing without guarantees if it can pay the bills or not. Well, I have to agree that its easier to do things that brings you more convenience and efficiency, but I have to be honest also that not all are given such opportunities and privileges to have things like how you want it that way.

For me, I don't actually enjoy the most what I have been doing right now, but the thing is, our life's comfort and stability lies in here, so for now I've got no other choice but to stick in here, hoping that one day, a better opportunity will come my way.

The question itself already carries the answer, of course what will work for someone is obviously working on something that he does not consider as a job but a thing that lets him enjoy and benefit after. It's like you don't work because you are required to work on it, but you do it out of pleasure and excitement. I think this kind of feeling will definitely work for everyone, no question asked.

However, not everyone will gain the chance to work on their dream jobs. Not everyone will be lucky to find passion on their job.
