The USD is the world reserve currency, which is in a state of near total collapse, only taking a moderate drop in confidence to totally collapse the banking system to the point where most banks become financially unstable.
Socially and morally, the world as we know it has been ending since the greater good philosophy was considered to outweigh principles as more absolute. That this is the biggest point of evidence of spiritual and philosophical poverty on the rise. I'm not saying everyone needs to adopt a religion, but rather they need to incorporate spirituality into their lives on an ongoing basis for a new beginning.
