I would ask him: Why did you decide to be anonymous? Was it a personal preference or was it to help the project? And if it was for the project, how did you know that being anonymous would help Bitcoin?

Because I find it a somewhat unconventional decision. We usually see project creators publicly discussing their ideas and their project. Instead, I think his decision was quite risky, but somehow he managed to convince a group of people to believe in Bitcoin and support it in such a way that it grew and became something that changed the lives of several people.

I would ask him that because I feel it would allow me to learn more about him as a person, not just as the creator of Bitcoin. And I would really like to know what he was thinking during those years while he was talking about Bitcoin, before people believed in his idea and supported it

Satoshi's Final Question

I would ask Satoshi Nakamoto just one question: "Do you think the Bitcoin experiment has failed, or is it still ongoing?"

I would ask Satoshi this question because I would most fear his answer: "Yes, the Bitcoin experiment has failed. Now its final collapse is only a matter of time."

Fear and pain are the criteria for determining the right path... It's leaving your comfort zone... I could ask Satoshi Nakamoto many other questions, but I would await the answer to this one with a sense of fear and anxiety.

I don't think Satoshi Nakamoto should answer this question. If he said, "I don't know," I would feel relieved. After all, it would mean all is not lost.

If he had simply remained silent, I would not have lost faith in Bitcoin.

We know that in 2010, Satoshi Nakamoto didn't predict the emergence of ASIC miners, Bitcoin derivatives, spot ETFs, or the actions of institutional players (BlackRock, Michael Saylor, and others). However, they have now arrived. Bankers and institutional players view Bitcoin as their own toy.

Initially, his idea was formulated as a "peer-to-peer electronic payment system." Now Bitcoin has evolved into something else... Can this be seen as evolution or a slow death?

Reflection Challenge

I'd like to thank the quest organizers! I really enjoyed this task. Every morning, I wrote an answer to one question, which allowed me to delve deeply into the topic.

I was truly struck by the elegance of Bitcoin's architecture. Completing the quest helped me see the whole technical picture (from a bird's eye view, so to speak).

I've always believed that Satoshi Nakamoto was inspired by Isaac Asimov's novel Foundation when creating Bitcoin. He wanted to create a global system that would function for centuries, independent of himself and the will of others. I believe the Bitcoin experiment continues, and the most interesting things are yet to come!

ROOM 6 - SATOSHI'S FINAL QUESTION

The question I'd ask

Which of Bitcoin's rules did you mean to be permanent, and which ones did you expect us to change later?

Why this one

Bitcoin's community fights are about which parts are untouchable (next major debate in the coming years will be what to do with bitcoins that are not migrated to quantum resistant addresses). Ten minute blocks. The 1 MB limit he slipped in during 2010 as a spam patch and clearly treated as temporary. What the base layer is even supposed to be for. And in every single one of those fights, both sides are quoting the same guy at each other. A big chunk of Bitcoin's history is people arguing over what a something meant in an old forum post.

What I'd hope to learn

Which of today's sacred principles were real design decisions and which ones were rough guesses that hardened into religion over fifteen years. A few numbers picked because they felt about right, a couple chosen with total conviction, and probably at least one thing he assumed we'd have replaced by now.

Should he answer it?

No. Rough consensus and running code turns into "well, the founder said." He spent his active years being deliberately boring in public and then erased himself so Bitcoin would never have a central head.

Reflection - what surprised me most

That miners don't decide what's valid. Until a few years ago I assumed that hash power equals control, because that's how everyone describes it in the forum and on Reddit. The miners "run" the network. They don't. They pick the order of transactions and that's where it ends. Every full node re-checks every rule on its own and bins anything that fails, so the actual veto belongs to whoever bothers to run the software, not whoever owns the ASICs.

@Smartprofit you deserve first price as you consistently demonstrated more depth, originality, historical context and the willingness to reason beyond the obvious answer. I think your biggest strength is depth of thoughts but there are a few weaknesses like sometimes the answer becomes an essay and mixes fact without clearly seperating them. Your submission feels like someone who didn't just escaped the rooms but used them as an opportunity to explore bitcoin's history and technical design.

@doggywin, your answers were quite good but I'd rank them after Smartprofit. Your biggest strength according to my would be clarity and economy. I did not find any weaknesses in your answers. In several rooms, specially Room 3 and Room 5, I actually prefer your clear explanation but Smartprofit showed a little more intellectual depth.

@thesebassv you were not eligible considering the lack of merits but I still appreciate you escaping the rooms. I would say you have a good begineer-level understanding but somehow you weren't at the level of two winners. But I am sure you learned something along the way and most importantly, you escaped all 6 rooms. Your answers weren't always technically perfect but I could see a genuine effort. Just to reward your efforts, I would like to give you $5 as a token of appreciation.

@RGBTC, I was really expecting you to escape the remaining 5 rooms before I can publish the results but unfortunately that did not happen so I have to disqualify you. I hope you can still escape the rooms and can join further games.
