How long would you study gambling to start making winning?

This question seems to be very simple but there is a dip meaning in to it. As we know gambling is usually a game of luck and probability base game no doubt, but how do you think you should study gambling for your chances of winning at least 3 times a week.
I am not trying to bring trading into this case but let just came to think of it, people usually say that for you to become a successful trader you must read and make more research to enable you know to trade and make profits from it. However, we have all believe they mostly shares same characteristics but most of the research are more in trading while gambling do not need much research but yet people are still losing more than they expected.

Can you say something about this in respect to gambling?

Do not think most traders are making money, most traders are losing money instead. I have posted about this very well some months ago and I always post about it before this year.

Almost all gamblers are losing. Do more research and lose more is what gambling is all about in term of losses. The gambling site will be happy to see people doing more research about how they can make money because they know that later, the gamblers are. going to lose.

There's no universal time frame to study gambling to start winning and there's also no guarantee that you are going to start winning after studying gambling. For everyone this is going to vary but the main thing is about knowing how to analyze and also betting strategically. If you are a sports bettor your focus should be on understanding sports games while you learn about odd systems and so on. Gambling is a game of luck and in most cases it is not really easy to win even if you have enough knowledge on the games that you are staking on.

In all honesty, more than studying, it’s about realizing and knowing your limits that determine if you would be able to sustain gambling as a means of hobby.

Of course if you’re really determined on winning, then you should be smart on the games that you would be picking. Instead of playing slots, you can explore playing card games (e.g. poker, blackjack, etc.); or do sports-betting for a research-oriented game.

The reality is, however, even with all the research and study that you do in gambling, the result will never be absolute or guaranteed. It does increase the chances of you winning but nothing is truly guarantee or absolute which makes gambling a beautiful, yet terrifying game to play.

Instead of focusing on winning, try to change that perspective and have some fun. Limit your games and focus on just enjoying the game. See it as a means of entertainment than a means for income.

If you take this idea, chances are you will become addicted to gambling. Gambling is a game of uncertainty. The moment you think that you can make money in gambling, you are just creating a way to become addicted, because you are pouring in money, time, and effort, and every loss gives you a motivation to continue and chase your losses, so don't seek to make gambling a cash cow. Many have tried and lost, and you will be among them.

I just wonder what you would learn about trading? Is it about how to toss a coin that always lands on the side you want it to be?

There is nothing to learn about in that way but people whould learn about how not to mess up, how they shouldn't bet, I mean the wagering part and what kind of bets they should can be a bit of stretch though.

So you think you can actually study gambling to the extent of winning consistently? To the best of my knowledge, you can’t..  You can study the rules, understand how a particular game works, but none of that will make you start winning 3 times every week..

Even traders that claim to spend years learning and researching barely win consistently..  They still have losing days and bad weeks. At least with trading, they claim there are patterns, market structure, price action and other things they can use to build an edge.. Now talk more of gambling that doesn’t even have those kind of patterns to rely on.

No, they're not the same, although studying and knowing much about teams in sports betting could help in decision making but in general, experience doesn't help much. The reality is that gambling doesn't pay people for working harder; it pays based on probabilities; you just do your best, put in your stake and let them do their things.

You must learned never to put all your efforts on gambling because it drains man so quickly, whomever that is gambling should at least apply responsible gambling because if they don't they would quickly get addicted, same thing is applicable with trading

Never knew you had to study to win bets in gambling. I do not know exactly what you'd be studying, but whenever you are done and you put your money on a bet, you'd find out quickly that it had nothing to do with what you were doing.

If you gamble on football games for example, there is a high chance you are a football fan, so you already know a lot about the teams, the more stronger ones and all. So, you don't need to do any studying, lol, you simply need to make a current analysis of their form and other stuffs that can influence how they'll perform on that matchday, nothing serious. Winning goes down to how lucky you are, so i'd not spend too much time on analysis or similar stuff.

I know many people will bet on Brazil to win Norway today, but Norway won Brazil. They were very clean two goals and not just one. Only the minute the match was about to end that Brazil scored. This is just how gambling is. I know the gambling site will make money from many gamblers today. Gambling is a game of uncertainty, it is just 100% luck. The skills some people think sports betting are, is just fooling them.

This is gambling, and so you don't need to study if you are just playing casino games. But if you are into sportsbetting, you should be familiar with the sports itself and the athletes involved. And usually, it requires years and years of watching before you can really say that you know the sports very well. It is like you live and breath that sports so you will be too familiar with the sports.

Well first, I'm not a fan of making comparisons between trading and gambling. If trading is considered, or in anyway associated to gambling, then I believe most traders would prefer to switch to gambling, so they don't have to do more studying than usual. And as for the question itself, I honestly don't think that there are any strong remedies that can be studied in order to guarantee yourself some level of invincibility in gambling. Of course, you can come up with your own strategy and things you've observed that tends to work for you, but it's still won't come with a 100% chance of success at the end of the day. Take sports betting for example, if you decide to play out the number of goals/corners in a game, rather than who to win and who not to, that's literally a different strategy on it's own, but it still doesn't come with a 100% chance of success.

There are different ways that people get to learning and become acquainted with gambling. Some way may be through reading a book, others may be through video format, another way may be through joining a gambling community on discord or Facebook channel while for some others, they just learn by trying. Another thing to note is that, it is not all gambling that needs to be “studied”, for a game like slots, you don’t need to learn anything because it is very straightforward.

May be Op thinks gambling is like trading where you need to pass through some series of experience or study before you will begin not knowing that in gambling you can have all sorts of experience, do different analysis, check head to head statics and still end up losing all the money you used in gambling. The worst thing to do is to study before gambling or take gambling as a source of income, those who do that end up becoming broke and frustrated because they will amount to nothing.

Gambling wins are always by luck not by research, you can only do research in other to know more about gambling not to win therefore you will still lose your game

Since the beginning of gambling it has always being known as a game of losses and not wins that is why we are asked to gamble with what we can afford to lose because it just for fun to entertain yourself and not for money or that you will be able to recover your losses after many attempt.

Just because you studied gambling doesn't really mean that you are going to win or make profits, so it's not really a matter how much you have studied gambling what matters is the results that you get from it. For me I didn't really study gambling or anything before I learnt how to do it, I picked up a thing or two from others and also I was also able to learn from experience as well. You don't really need any deep study to win from gambling.

People do not study gambling and guarantee their future wins, but they come to study because they want to minimize their future losses and be able to manage  the risks with gambling. Otherwise, if you continue to gamble blindly, its like you allow yourself that its okay to lose oftentimes, after all gambling is all about luck and probability.

However, your knowledge and skills in gambling will gradually develop in time. The more you get exposed to it, the more you learn a lot. Same with trading, mastery develops in time. But with gambling, since its obvious that the edge is on the house, even professional gamblers still experience losses at times.

I think the fact that gamblers who have spent decades gambling still lose their bets more than they win should be enough to give you an insight into how important the whole studying before gambling really is.

Experience won't automatically give you that secret strategy that will automatically place you at the top of others; it will only give you a little chance to avoid some things that are too obvious, but then you would still have to rely on luck to make it work.
