Bitcoin will struggle to hit its current ATH back in the next 2 years, let alone hitting $150,000 in less than 6 months. Perhaps, they want to create an opposite reality to try change the trend.

What they say sometimes doesn't make sense, but that's the way it is. Are some rich people always saying Bitcoin's price isn't realistic, or are they just trying to create FOMO?
I don't care... I'll ignore this kind of news, even if it says Bitcoin will reach $150,000 this year. I'm sticking to history, and after the halving, the bullish momentum will slowly grow, which will automatically lead to Bitcoin's price moving upwards.

In this volatility of the Bitcoin market, it is not possible to accurately predict which direction Bitcoin will go. From the current position of the Bitcoin price, we do not expect to see it at $150,000 in the next few months and probably will not even touch $150,000. However, I am guessing that Bitcoin will be able to reach $100,000 by 2026. So I cannot put $150,000 in my estimate, I can put it in my estimate that the Bitcoin market may be at $100,000 by 2026.

That's why it's called as speculation. It doesn't have to be accurate and it only tends to be an opinion of whether it will happen or not. We're all going to see if that comes for this year but I don't think we're even going to be back at $100k by the end of the year, let alone $150k is quite high for this year. The bear market slows down bitcoin and that's why for this decision of Strategy to sell is timely and that gives them assurance that they're going to survive this year and will continue to carry on for the next years and allows them to be flexible for the next cycle before it comes.

I voted "no" because I don't think Bitcoin can reach ATH this year. Maybe in the second half of next year it's possible, but until the end of the year that I find very difficult, although I am one of those people who do not rule out any unexpected surprises.

As for strategy and Michael Saylor, I no longer trust them or their predictions. It turns out that everything they do is based on lies and market manipulation to achieve their own goals. Even their prediction about Bitcoin reaching $150,000 this year is part of their deceptive strategy.

Manager Bernstein's (public) expectations aren't necessarily 100% guaranteed to come true. But if Strategy believes in their expectations so strongly, they should borrow new money before the end of the year to purchase bitcoin.

Personally, I don't see any preconditions for growth to $150k., and I think it's too early for such a significant increase. After all, BTC-cycles exist, and crypto market moves according to these patterns. It would be extremely optimistic to expect growth to even reach $100k.

I am very sure that Strategy can not even bet money on the price of bitcoin to get to $150000 by this year. I think they just want to be very positive which could be a strategy that they see to be good about a business. This year is still long, let us see what would happen, bit I also think that bitcoin is not going to $150000. But I also think that bitcoin may not really fall too much unlike what some people have also predicted.

Strategy already made a move of partially selling their holding already while they are the one that keep buying the dip to start the price rally. I skeptical for this year to hit new ATH unless there will be new catalyst to ignite price rally.

The current price is very low compared to the target new ATH, it’s very hard to meet that price expectation on a short period of time while Strategy has the sign of unloading more of their Bitcoin.

They still own a huge chunk of Bitcoin but their stance to never sell already broken so who knows what will be there next move in case there’s a minor price rally.

Bitcoin also reached a new ATH before the halving in this cycle, something that had never happened before. 
To be fair, anything can happen. But if we look at both history and what is actually happening right now, the chances of Bitcoin reaching $150k are very low, if not close to zero.

It is already July. The macroeconomic and geopolitical situation is more unstable than ever, and there is also the pressure of the four year market cycle. It is hard to believe Bitcoin will set a new ATH this year.

If BTC did get to 126k and not just briefly as a ceiling to sell from but moving past that point would make 150k in sight shortly after, I wouldn't argue over those numbers.   I do dispute we recover to such prices this year, I would say its more of a debate we get a recovery next year and that isn't a certainty to plan just yet just a maybe.

Stating ATH 2026 is just a sales target, someone has that story and wants to sell the idea.  We don't have the framework, I don't find reasoning to presume such a target and I'll wait till its reasonable.  
  The very basic take anyone can observe is direction of the moving averages, come back when they are on a regular incline together on multiple time frames not in the present disarray.

I was hearing people discussing that this a bear market, so the possibility of the price of Bitcoin going to 150k may not be possible. The bear market has a four years phase to exist and this is also for the bull market.
If the price of Bitcoin is in the present bear market, maybe it will take Bitcoin another four years before the price is going to meet at 150k.
We are going to see how the market price of Bitcoin will be moving and that will show us if Bitcoin is going to reach the 150k price or pass it.

Even I doubt that at the end of this year bitcoin will return to $100k, the probability is very difficult considering the current situation, in the market scenario there needs to be something that drives massive market movements, as before we were waiting for bitcoin ETFs, then clearer regulation of the crypto market, then today's question What are we waiting for as a catalyst for positive sentiment?
This is what I am still looking for to this day, there needs to be a reason for retailers to accumulate bitcoin so that it can move the price.

That's the thing, for those big companies to be able to sell their ETF and other products, they have to say that we are going to go super high. However, for the real people who have followed bitcoin for a long time, we are very well aware that bitcoin will not reach the all time high this year, hell I can even bet that it will not reach it next year either. I know that it will take till next halving and I am fine with that. I think that part is very important, follow the historical patterns to see that.

Still, we cannot underestimate the manipulations by whales and corporates. If Elon Musk decides to park his 1% of wealth then we may have ATH within this year. And if any country plans to have bitcoin to be part of their reserve then bitcoin will get into bullish mode immediately which may lead to a new ATH as well .

No, you are misunderstanding the market cycle. The cycle usually lasts around 4 year and already includes both bull and bear market.

Within that cycle, a bear market usually only lasts around 12 to 18 month. That means we could be gradually entering the final stage of the bear market and the bottom could be formed in Q4 this year. After that, market will enter a consolidation phase and prepare for the next cycle with a bull market.

Bitcoin could reach $150k in the next bull run, which is expected to take place after the 2028 halving event.

That Strategy speculation is truly hilarious, how can somebody predict what is not feasible considering how the market is fluctuating around the same price movement, I think that the Strategy executive is just being wishful. Nothing is impossible but I don't think that we can see Bitcoin reaching it's current ATH in this 2026 not to talk of reaching a new peak of $150,000 there is no indicators that it would happen anytime soon.

It is quite unfortunate that Strategy had to sell some of their Bitcoin after giving assurances that they wouldn't but it was obligatory otherwise they could have continued to hold until the $150,000 is actualized but I doubt that it would have been this year. Their sell would rather create FUD for Bitcoin to continue dip instead of skyrocketing to $150,000.
