These two users edited their prediction entries after the deadline, trying to change their guesses once the BTC price was already known.

The contest rules are very clear:

1.) Guess the Price of BTC on 30th June 2026, 23:59:59 UTC in USD (We will take Coinmarketcap's price).
2.) You can not post/edit your prediction after 28th June 23:59:59 UTC
3.) Your Bitcointalk account must be created before this post.
4.) Multiple accounts from one user are not allowed. If you cheat, you will not get any reward despite winning.

Both of these posts were edited after the deadline. At that point, the Bitcoin price had already been published, so there was no reason to edit a prediction other than trying to gain an unfair advantage.

So why doesn't OP enforce those rules?

I'm not surprised one of the cheaters was on my Ignore list already.

Well, the contest owner can always choose to band them from future contests.
Also you and/or the contest owner can give them at very least a neutral trust rating.

I think they simply missed checking whether the entries had been edited. This was already discussed in their Telegram channel, and they've already removed those users from the winners list. They won't be receiving any rewards also. It just they haven't edited the winner list here in bitcointalk.

X already tagged them once he made this post here, great job. Obviously the contest organizer would disqualify them if he found out himself but with 106 participants I guess it's not easy to check everybody. Thankfully we have some users that double check and can find out the truth. Hopefully those cheaters didn't get the winnings yet and the real winners will get rewarded.
Guess there should be stricter rules for participation. Alts flooding giveaways is nothing new these days.

Both users have cheated on Little Mouse contest several times, including Darkstate

Re: [OPEN] b1exch.io | Automated Swap | No KYC | Review campaign | $50 Reward
Re: Mobit.Exchange | BTC Price Prediction| Prize- $100 |Free to enter | 28/06

Even worse, CONVOAI profited from this cheating and was able to receive contest rewards Re: mobit.exchange | BTC Price Prediction| Prize- $100 |Free to enter | 17/05

Maybe now Little Mouse should be more careful

I have also verified that CONVOAI sends BTC to MicroScript Binance Deposit address.

This account deserves negative feedback; besides, they often use their alternate accounts in a contest they also change the answers to the contests, as the OP said.

They have violated the rules of the contest
4.)  Multiple accounts from one user are not allowed.

The Games and rounds board is probably one of those boards with so many alt accounts that are used to cheat in contests, and I think some of the contest rules are not strict enough to curb the cheating.

Most of the users I have given red tags to recently has been for cheating in contests. You could probably fill the entire first page of the reputation section with accusations of cheating and suspicious behavior in contests.

As soon as you find one alt account, five more are created because the bar is so low to participate. Cheaters also openly disregard the rules hoping nobody will notice or that managers will overlook what they are doing.

I can't believe someone could be that greedy.  Grin Grin Even if the trick worked on one account, it doesn't mean you should create another account for the same thing. If they weren't that greedy, the trick might have lasted longer.

I was about to write exactly that.

It's like with those bounty campaigns in altcoin section, where bounty managers probably wouldn't be able to sell their service to clients without army of alt accounts.

I'm only surprised that is hasn't been tried more often.  Cheesy

How pathetic can they be.  It would only take them normal activity around Bitcoin Talk to get some Merits and upgrade to higher ranks and they would earn that prize in a week or two already.  Wasting time to create a dozen alternative accounts only to try and cheat their way, this probably makes them feel as stupidly proud as people who steal a gum at the grocery store check outs.

It is a kind of funny situation however if you think about it.  You set an anti cheating rule and you end up being fooled particularly by forgetting to impose the rule in the first place.  The competition ended up being over who is more stupid, with a prize!

Pretty easy to effectively stop them even entering a contest by making firm rules like not being eligible to enter below Full Member rank or something like that.

By not weeding these losers out immediately you encourage them to create Alts and cheat.

As someone who's all too familiar with this section, I wanted to chime in on this topic.
I've noticed the account contesthunters.com for quite some time now—it's hard to miss when there are sometimes 20 topics from the account at once.  Lips sealed

So why doesn't OP enforce those rules?
His main objective seems to be starting as many threads in this section as possible, rather than focusing on who actually wins.
That approach can end up attracting participants who aren't playing fairly.

with 106 participants I guess it's not easy to check everybody.
There's no reason to check everyone—only the winners.
