I have been using Trust Wallet, and it has been pretty nice. But I need another one; that's why I started this thread.
I’ve used Trust Wallet before, but you know what happened to them. Leave that wallet. Other than hardware wallets, I use Electrum on my PC. And up until now, I’m still using it. I also installed the Android version, but I rarely open it for transactions. Because for most transactions, whether to some platforms, I always access them using my PC.

The second option on my list is Electrum wallet, I was a user but later Unstoppable wallet stole me over, they have features more than Electrum wallet but they both work amazingly well, mind you, I've only used both on Android phones, no PC and I even feel like running wallets on android is a bit safer than someone who is running these wallets on a PC, the problem is PC easily get infected, and you know, storing coins on a wallet that's running on PC then using that same PC to browse the internet is never a good idea.
I don't know what is difference in security between PC and a phone as well as consequences if a PC or a phone hacked. If a device, either PC or phone, was hacked, hackers can access and steal many information from your device, including stealing your coins if possible. I don't know why a hacked phone can be safer than a hacked PC, would you mind explaining about the difference and reasons, please? I am oppositely in favor between PC and phone, compares to your favorite one. I would prefer to use PC or laptop to store my wallets and coins, if not airgap, it's still safer than phones. I only use my phone to store a very small fund in a hot wallet, as I consider phone is not secure and it's unsafe.

So, which one are you currently using that you're not ready to let go of anytime soon?
Note: I'm not asking about hardware wallets.
For bitcoin, I have to say Electrum [last time I checked, their Android version had fewer features], BlueWallet and Nunchuck [not that popular, but it comes with good features]. - For other cryptocurrencies, you can also check Stack Wallet (the only issue here is that the developers aren't that active in comparison to the past).

I use trust wallet and I have been thinking about changing my wallet for a few days and I have decided to start using electrum wallet. Electrum wallet is much better and provides more benefits than trust wallet. Everyone gives more importance to their security and Electrum wallet is very reliable or I can say strong for security. Electrum wallet is completely decentralized and it is very light and fast.
What are you waiting for before switching to Electrum wallet. This thread is for people like you that are using Trust wallet without knowing that it's a closed source wallet own by Binance and it's centralized. If I were in your shoes, I would immediately create a new electrum wallet and transfer my funds from trust wallet to Electrum wallet and if it's because of the multi coins feature, you can use cake wallet.

You'll regret using Trust Wallet if you experience its drawbacks. Move your crypto out of it and remove it. So, which one are you currently using that you're not ready to let go of anytime soon?
You can use Sparrow, Electrum, or Blue Wallet, but since you use Trust Wallet, I'll recommend using Blue Wallet for mobile. I think mobile devices are used by the majority of Trust Wallet users. I don't understand about decentralization accurately, it's about Bitcoin blockchain, Bitcoin network, not about Bitcoin wallets.
People have been hammered with all those decentralized finance, markets, websites, so they are starting to add decentralized to everything! Technically, you're right; some decentralized platform users view a self custody wallet as a decentralized wallet because they primarily support custody wallets. Because of this, OP chose to call the wallet decentralized instead of self custody.

But I will like to ask, does importing a Trust wallet seed phrase on Blue wallet makes our Bitcoin secure? Or does it mean Trust wallet still has control over the Bitcoin? Because after seeing this comment by @Myleschetty as shown above, I just remembered one of my friend who imported his Trust wallet on Blue wallet and thinking it's very safe. So please your attentions are needed in regards to this question. And also I will like to seek the attention of @stompix, because he is a reputable member here on this forum and I'm sure he has better knowledge about Bitcoin wallets than almost everybody on this forum. So please Sir, your attention is highly needed.. Thank you as I patiently wait for your response.

Nowadays, people are most careful about the selection of wallets and their security, so users check and choose whether the wallets they use are completely safe. If we talk about the wallet in 2026, then I must say that I use the Electrum decentralized wallet, where no negative reviews have been heard so far. Moreover, this wallet is much safer and much easier to use for mobile users. In all aspects, this Electrum wallet is one of the favorite wallets for long-term Bitcoin holding.

Don't do it, seed phrases generated on a bad weak generator is already affected, it's better to create your own new seed phrases on the new Bitcoin wallet that you just downloaded. I've made similar mistake before, where I import my trust wallet seed phrase into another wallet, weeks later it got drained, i don't know where things got wrong though but doing this won't give you peace. It cost nothing to move your funds from the trust wallet into the safer wallet, if you want to stick with Electrum wallet make sure that the seed phrases is generated by Electrum wallet.

Alright. Thank you so much for your advice and for answering my question that I was in need for a solution, and I think next time I see this friend of mine who imported his Trust wallet seed phrase on Blue wallet, I will just advise him to just create a fresh new Blue wallet instead, and transfer all his Bitcoin to it, rather using a wallet that was created on Trust wallet. So once again.. Thank you.

Electrum Wallet is what I've been using all this while, and wouldn't let go anytime soon. Electrum wasn't the first wallet i used, simpler ones like Trust Wallet and BlueWallet which are more beginners friendly, Electrum is more advanced, easy to use but it has extra features that makes it a good first choice to use over others.

I don't think "decentralized" wallet is the right term for this context. I think it's a non custodial wallet that is open source. I use Blue Wallet. It's good and very easy to use. Even a beginner can use it. When I joined this forum, I got introduced to Electrum. I use it too, but it's only on my computer. Since I don't take my computer everywhere, I use the Blue wallet more.
I don't know if you know this or not, but Electrum actually has an Android version you can find it in the PlayStore. Make sure you download the right one, it's named "Electrum Bitcoin Wallet" by Electrum Technologies GmbH. I have been using the android version more than my desktop version because as you said, I'm not always on PC, so I make more day-to-day transactions using the mobile app, and I have never faced any problems with it so far, and I have been using it for more than a couple of years now. People are mostly afraid of using wallets on their mobile phones because they believe their funds can be easily stolen, but I would say that it totally depends on you about how you manage everything. When you know that you have financial apps on your phone, you shouldn't download useless and untrustworthy stuff in your phone, don't download unnecessary games and apps, don't open links that you don't trust, and don't just visit any website when you are surfing the internet, and most importantly, never download any files sent to you on social media by anyone because this is one of the most common ways of scammers scamming people through malware.

So once again.. Thank you. In addition to what the above user said. Many cryptocurrency investors who fell prey to the Trust Wallet statement was to experienced unexpected wallet drains without disclosing seed phrases, and some encountered transaction issues and had to wait days to receive their crypto back. Furthermore, more than 5,000 claims were made; while some of them might be false, but when a platform in the cryptocurrency space is the target of numerous accusations, in the end, there's always a problem with the platform. Therefore, the Trust Wallet entropy and its exchange model are the main issues. In my previous post i said "move," not "import," the crypto, so your friend should create a new wallet using Blue Wallet or any other secure crypto wallet and transfer his crypto there.

You mentioned decentralisation and already failed in two things. Your wallet is not decentralised, it's either custodian or non custodian wallets, or you can say hot wallet, cold wallets. Secondly you are using a wallet that many people here on the forum disagrees with including me. Not because it's not a wallet, but trust wallet over the years has shown a good level of risk to the safety of users. People who still use it to store their cryptocurrency are either not informed or just completely ignorant of these warnings on using trust wallet. As for your question, I only make use of two wallets that I can vouch for anyone. Which are blue wallet and electrum. They are the only two wallets I can recommend for anyone to use..

That's quite good for those of you who haven't experienced fatal problems with the assets you store there. People's experiences with wallets, trust wallets are not recommended wallets, especially for long-term use. A good wallet for this use is Electrum. Electrum can also be installed on Android, making it easier. Bluewallet is also a good bitcoin wallet. Unstoppable wallet is another good one to use because it supports multi coins.

I started with using trust wallet until I got more experience in the crypto space and discovered that it was not the best wallet for holding your useful asset, unless maybe you are just keeping little coins in it which you are not storing it there for a long time but just using it for some simple transactions on regular times. In holding my coins for the long term, I use blue wallet. Another wallet I use is unstable wallet for some altcoins transaction.

I personally can not afford to use a decentralised wallet bcz the country i live in it is really inconvenient to use one, i personally use binance to hold my bitcoins because i don’t have much but trust wallet is a great wallet and is really easy to use for a normal person that do not have a big quantity of BTC though it has some security flaws as it’s not totally decentralised and open-source. But with the security flaws they are fixed time to time. But if you have a big quantity of BTC and need a secure wallet it would be electrum no undoubtedly.

As the user above mentioned, there's no such thing as a decentralized wallet, what exists are self-custody wallets or non-custodial wallets. And Trust Wallet is a wallet I'll never use again. Since this wallet was acquired by Binance, you have no way of knowing what they're doing with it, how its development has changed, or how it's being tailored to meet Binance's needs. So, just a word of advice, while you still have the chance, move your assets to a more trustworthy wallet. As for the wallets I'm currently using, they are Blue Wallet and Unstoppable Wallet. Both of these are self-custodial wallets, and they're more trustworthy than Trust Wallet or other non-custodial wallets, and you can try to use this wallet.

I still have Trust Wallet installed because it seems to be the possible option if you want to play with random shitcoins but it is not recommended to use for storing any actual crypto, I mean the one with value.
Electrum does the job for me because I am not an Apple user, also have a core wallet but I still prefer the imported wallet on Electrum that is easier to load and send transactions instantly.
