Free time? Today's youth seem to have a lot of it, but where it goes is a big question. How many people do you know who spend their time on the kind of "free time" that they set aside to implement their ideas and new projects? There are few such people, and they don't have much time. Good and valuable ideas do not arise from idleness, from doing nothing. All talented projects are created with a lot of work, not physical but mental, since mental work is no easier than what people spend their physical strength on.

But there is another association with the expression "free time"; this is the time that is spent watching videos on gadgets, playing computer games, and all that many people call leisure. It is only as people get older and understand the transience of time that they begin to regret their missed opportunities and the lost time they spent doing useless things.

From the current generations? I can guarantee you that the number is less than 10%, or even less than that but I am being generous. Look up the data on overweight children and children obesity, and with that you can right away figure out how many are using their "free time" well. They are basically extreme content addicts, brainless creatures that are floating in the void existence waiting for their end of times. They do not have a purpose, they do find any meaning in anything worthwhile, they are completely lost. With the older generations the situations is only slightly better, because instead of being on TikTok and Instagram they are on Facebook and indulging in AI slop content.

Free time, when used wisely is always active time. Whether mentally or physically, it was active time. People turned it into indulging in endless and useless content, passivity. Whether with social media, TV shows, or movies, it does not matter -- all are wrong, it is only the degree of wrongness, whereas social media is the worst, and terrible TV shows and movies come second (and far from some educational content or masterpieces, in moderation of course).
I actually believe that people have way too much free time and that we should increase both the work hours and reduce the number of holidays -- the primary reason being that most people do not behave well when given too much free time, they literally do every single thing in their lives wrong. If you are physically not fiat at whatever age you are, except medical conditions, you are a case example of living life the wrong way.

In the world today, it's actually not that easy to have so much free time, even if you are the boss of your own, it still requires so much effort to be a stand alone boss, you have other competitors out there so you will have more time to put in the work than the time you will have for free. It's not everyone that is using the free time they have to think outside the box and think of something that can add value instead of wasting the time on unnecessary things.

Not everyone with free time are going to use that to create new things. Actually, most people with a lot of free time under their disposal are just wasting it on useless activities, like social medias, therefore, it's not synonym of success.

There is This saying; the shortest time in a man's life is due to make it honorable but some people failed to understand That, it's just like a friend of mine that has been hunting for job for some years now but all his efforts was invain. But that's not the end he keep striving going for side hustle, there was a day he came back from his normal side hustle quite on time which he was meant to take some rest but instead he decided to go for job hunting and luckly he succeeded that very day. You know  if he had stay back thinking that there's no enough time to go for job hunting he would have missed the opportunity. So what I'm trying to say in essence is that no time is too small because we can actually achieve something if we spend it wisely.

Maybe there's some truth to it, you can probably use money to buy many things while we live in this world, but sometimes we don't realize that money can't buy free time. You could say that free time is one of the valuable asset situations in every life for every individual.

For this reason, when we don't value our free time by wasting it by not doing meaningful things for ourselves in life, especially from an economic perspective, and also not doing something that can help other people, of course we are at a loss.

Not entirely true, this depends on how a person spends his free time and how a person is able to multiply his 24 hours production time a day into hundreds to thousands of hours a day to produce something valuable.. I believe the one who can own the future are those people who are able to leverage their time production and at the same time multiply it.  Having a 24 hours free time is way inferior to having  4 hours that produce value.

And yeah, it is a no-brainer, time is the most valuable asset.

Don't stress yourself, free time is called free for a reason, I don't believe that free time is a waste of time because as a human that you are it's impossible not to have free time, if you then go ahead to not use your free time like you should it's your problem.

I was watching this documentary. I do not know how reliable it was, but it said you are not supposed to sleep for 8 hours straight. It was a mattress company back in the 1800s or 1900s that introduced this idea that 8 hours of sleep is the best sleep you can get for your health. But they said before that, this was not a thing. Before that ad, which manipulated everyone's mind, everyone slept for four hours and then woke up for two hours from 1 am to 3 am and then they slept for four hours again.

The sleep was not a straight 8 hours, and most of the time people did great things in those 2 hours. You know what I mean haha yeah that too, but those 2 hours belonged to you and to your ideas. You should wake up at that time, give it some time, do your thing like write, but now things have advanced so you can vibe code or do things that are related to your field.

What can be said about this? Most people do not even know how to block ADs, that is how dumb and incapable they are. They are actually wasting away most of their free time in completely stupid ways. Again I repeat, most people have more than enough free time and would be better off having less free time.

There is nothing fun about endless and passive content consumption, it is an addiction -- there is no way past it. You can delude yourself that you fulfilling your needs for "entertainment", but you are not -- you are just taking another dose of your addiction. I'll give you only one example that confirms this is an addiction and how the forced decision to do things this way damages both behaviors. These days many people can't eat a meal without watching something on their TV or YouTube, this devalues both actions: the content being watched and the meal that is being eaten. Instead of enjoying one activity at 100%, you enjoy both at 20% -- because that is how the brain works, if you are not fully present in the action that you are doing you are just passing time in a mostly meaningless way. Genius decision, don't give excuses for this kind of bullshit. Furthermore, work can be fun -- as can any activity that is challenging in any way. It is precisely this separation of work/activity and fun, and the view that work sucks and that "fun" is the goal that made most humans sick. 99.9% of humans of this world could use a 90% or more reduction in screen time and they would be better off. Don't provide excuses for bad behavior.

Many people are using their free time to watch porn, gamble, drink, smoke, drug and womanizing while others use it to read and be creative. Ideas come when your brain is stimulated enough to entertain creative thoughts and such stimulation can come from reading, focusing on a subject of interest, or even when executing tasks in other disciplines. I have had several ideas fly into my subconscious when I am busy with unrelated subjects, so I made it a point of duty to always have a writing pad beside me so I can pen down those ideas ASAP they start flowing freely into my mind irrespective of place and time
