I've been on this forum for a long time and I can say that I've seen a lot of long posts that were pointless and without purpose, basically spam, and I've also seen a lot of short posts, sometimes just a few words, that gave the answer I was looking for and were purposeful and meaningful.
So, the length of the post doesn't determine whether it's spam or not, but the content and usefulness of the post.

Some years back, long posts are not always pointless as only good posters make long posts. When spammers make long posts, they are always on point but they end up being plagiarised texts.

But these days, it is so easy to generate long pointless posts from a thin air. Just an effortless low level prompt can produce hundreds of words and it would be dumped here.
So, in order words AI is doing more harm than good to the forum.

I went to the 1611th page of Topics on the 'Bitcoin Discussion' Board and I opened a few random Topics.

Here is how Bitcoin Talk replies from 2010 looked,

Me too. Cheesy
Wow thats awesome. You even found my new site which is still in development stages lol

5 bitcoins if anyone can find which one it is . Cheesy
The NoAgendaWall?
Cheesy  no

BitcoinMedia has an ad there though .
Cheesy
Hehe, let's just say I had an inside tip  Tongue

Glad you guys enjoy the pearltree. I'll continue to add links and organize it as best as possible. If anyone wants their site on the tree, sees one I missed or feels one belongs in a different category, PM me or leave a message here.
Looking good  Grin
I dont think bitcoin cares what you call it. Smiley
Don't do it. You might break the interwebz.
I think both are okay in the correct context. "The bitcoin gained ground today towards 0.13 of the US dollar." "Crap I'm a bitcoin short."
"BITCOINS GALORE" as you can see almost anything works.
"the facebook"  Cheesy

Then there is this Topic where about 1 in 3 replies were one liners,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1464.20

Some people like me can not help but write articles instead of replies.  The one that gets the prize for longest articles is probably JayJuanGee.  But if you want to see what actually normal posts look like then open up X, Reddit, any of the group chats you are part of or go to any other non Cryptocurrency related Forum.

No.  They are not spam.
