I don’t know of any other platform that provides updates as quickly as Polymarket. Here, you absolutely have to be quick with your predictions, and waiting several minutes for every ordinary Bitcoin transfer could cause you to miss out on instant opportunities. Sometimes I’m watching a game and at the same time I see the odds changing on Polymarket within seconds.
When news breaks, it can take a while for Polymarket to price it in, so being quick is important, and I think Lightning payments are an advantage for those who use only Bitcoin.
If you want to gamble correctly, you should have some balance on any platform that supports balanced. Rushing to get in a bet in the last moment is a sure way of losing, even if gamblers are usually losing anyway. Rushed decisions are always a mistake. Sure now you can save some time, but if a platform supports it then consider keeping a very small balance as play money there and spend the time instead thinking about what you are going to do before you do it.
But as a gambler who knows what he is doing should not at least wait for whenever they sees the right signals before they could make deposit to their gambling account. Usually for me, if I want to gamble tomorrow or next I wouldn't mind making deposit to gambling account and start making my predictions and whenever I noticed that my prediction can likely change then there are more chances for you to either replay the bet again and also make your adjustments.
Why the heck would you want to do things the wrong and inefficient way? There is a big difference between using a platform wrongly in the sense of an actual wallet, or even worse keeping your savings on it and having some play money balance. The former is always wrong, the latter is always right and more efficient. At worst case you would be exposing yourself to a small potential balance loss in the case of a casino exit scam, but given the efficiency savings and clearer mindset when gambling you are gaining a lot more than the risk you are setting up.
