I came back here after a few years .
Almost 90% of my posts are from gambling board, so this is not an opinion based on reading a few random threads.

Gambling board is not what it used to be.

Years ago, Gambling Discussion was one of the best places on the internet for people interested in betting.
There were users here who actually knew what they were talking about.
People discussed strategies and their own personal experiences.

A lot of us were not even posting back then. We were just reading because there was real knowledge there.

Now the board has become a place where everyone can jump into any topic and give an opinion, even when they have zero interest in betting.

You open a betting thread and you see replies like :

"I'm not really into gambling"
or long explanations about why betting is bad/impossible.
why are you posting it in a thread where people are discussing betting?

Nobody is forcing anyone to bet.
If you don't like gambling, just stay away from it.
But turning every betting discussion into a debate about whether gambling is good or bad is ruining the purpose of this section.

Yes, betting has risk.
Yes, nobody has a guaranteed winning method.
Everyone who actually bets knows this.

But there is a huge difference between a person randomly gambling and someone who spends time studying odds, analyzing games and trying to find value.

The worst thing is that many of the old users who actually knew about betting are not posting anymore.
Reason is simple: every serious discussion gets filled with random comments.

This board used to be a place where people came to learn. Now many serious discussions are becoming the same repeated arguments over and over again.

Something needs to change. More self-moderated threads, better control over low-effort replies, or whatever solution works.

If nothing changes, this section will keep losing the users who actually bring value to it.

Years ago, reaching Legendary meant people respected your opinion. Today, it mostly means you've been around long enough to comment on everything for a signature campaign.

Oh yeah! Action is needed to ban all of you who talk about "gambling" like that.

But there is a huge difference between a person randomly gambling and someone who spends time studying odds, analyzing games and trying to find value.

Explain what "value" you find in "gambling". 95% of the threads started there make the same mistake you're making, and yet here you are, acting all smart and making the same basic mistake.

Lol, didn't think this was coming , I thought someone just stood up for this. But it looks like this allegation came from the same types of person. This guy has so much experience, yet he is still doing AI recommendations for betting.
I saw Yahoo alwasy roast these gambling section threads spam post by replying savage way. I kinda liked it .

There are tons  of topics that are just useless; most of them are about gambling addiction. If you dont find them pleasent you can just ignore them , if you also find that a certain user has zeero knowledge/contribution on gambling still posting shit on forum you simply can just ignore and report them to moderator . You can also create your own self-moderated topic on the gambling section if you think your desire is not fulfilled by other members. You willl always find some users who might be interested enough on gambling may appear on your topic.

I agree with you that we have a lower quality of discussion in the Gambling section but that is for obvious reasons, because many members have to fulfill their obligations from signature campaigns.
However, the Gambling section is not just about betting, that is a simplification of the whole story. I personally participate in several competitions related to the World Cup in football and in the Gambling section we have very high quality discussions about it even though we do not bet directly with external companies but compete with each other.
Also, there are experienced members who discuss competitions in national leagues and competitions like the Champions League and it is always interesting to read and hear the opinions of others.
Honestly, there are also many members who participate in such discussions who are just fulfilling their obligations from signature campaigns but after so many years I can already recognize that and focus only on threads and members from whom I can gain or learn something.
I simply ignore and skip everything else in that section because it is tiring to read and follow.
Can something be done about the low quality of discussion in the Gambling section? I honestly don't see what the admins can do about it.
