Anyone else annoyed that AI tools still don’t accept crypto ? ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — all the useful stuff is still basically “add a card and pay”. No USDT, no BTC, no on-chain checkout. So the workaround is just a crypto card. Not technically “paying ChatGPT with crypto”, but close enough in practice: you top up a card with crypto/stables and use the card for the subscription. I was checking IZIPAY for this because they show supported merchant types here: https://izipay.me/merchantsMy basic checklist would be: - start with small balance; - keep extra funds for auth holds; - don’t rely on it for renewal until the first recurring payment actually passes; - if one service rejects it, try to understand if it’s a prepaid/virtual card issue; - don’t load more than you need for the subscription. This kind of setup makes sense if you already live mostly in USDT and just need to pay for SaaS/AI tools without doing the exchange → bank → card dance every time. Would be nice if OpenAI/Anthropic/Google just accepted crypto directly, but until then crypto cards are probably the easiest bridge. BTCBTCBTC

I wonder if the cost of setting up a crypto payment channel isn't worth their time. Maybe their userbase isn't consisted of crypto enthusiast either. Maybe you can send an e-mail suggesting them to add payment support.
That being said, a quick search suggest that some platforms do offer crypto payment through crypto channel like Coinbase. If I'm not wrong Openrouter is one of them. Have you checked them out? If you're limited to debit card, some people also sells prepaid card anonymously where you can buy with crypto in the marketplace board iirc.

A 3% top-up fee and then a $50 issuance fee for a crypto virtual card and a $460 insurance fee for a physical card are a bit high compared to what the competition is offering. You might want to think about this. I am wondering what the maximum and minimum deposit limits are. I don't see the fees information for this IZIPAY cards anywhere on the website, and that can make a big difference. It looks similar to PayWithMoon but with limited support. The only problem is if this one also supports other platforms like Amazon. We are currently looking similar to purse.io but if we have a service like that, we don't need to look similar to purse.io. By checking its domain age, this is a 1-year-old site searching for reviews and mentions from other sites. I found this one below and the guy said this is a scam site - https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoScams/comments/1suqb2b/us_crypto_card_scam/If I want to be safer, I am going to choose the Coinbase card instead, which is legal in the US.

Essentially, you can purchase a subscription package without linking a CC or anything like that. I've noticed AI platforms are offering increasingly easy payment options within their app versions lately. If you're used to paying for items in any game via Google Play, you should be able to do the same in other apps like AI services. I recently checked CahtGPT, and it even has about 12 payment options. Though none of them integrate with crypto payments, it doesn't compromise on convenience.

If you can do a good review, it might be a good topic for enthusiasts about it, but in short, any payment card will work. The main problem is finding a noKYC card that works. For someone who is excited about ChatGPT, Cloud, Gemini, privacy is usually not their first choice.

You might want to think about this. I am wondering what the maximum and minimum deposit limits are. You can try out this link - https://izipay.me/pricing While basic virtual card usage does not automatically require document submission, IZIPAY reserves the right to request KYC verification at any time to comply with international AML directives. Triggers include, but are not limited to:
Exceeding the pre-defined fiat conversion volume associated with the Basic Tier. Suspicious transaction patterns flagged by our automated monitoring systems. Requests to upgrade to higher-tier physical cards with expanded ATM withdrawal capabilities. Deposits originating from known high-risk wallets or mixers.
I would personally avoid any card provider that has something like this in their TOS - because it basically means they can request KYC at any time and block the card and funds. These are actually KYC cards, they are just advertised in a way that is attractive to potential clients.

How can you be so sure that they won't track you in any way? I remember reading similar discussion on another thread about how proving anonymous virtual card provider really anonymous is hard. Especially when we have examples where long-standing services who claims they don't store customers data actually store them in plain format. Is the risk worth the trade-off? not saying every provider is horrible, but I'd avoid concluding too early if I'm not too familiar with how they works.

If you aren't planning for do any private stuff but only for some day to day things, and ok with sharing, then you can easily get one of these with a ready made account. I personally did this, with a shared team subscription when I needed codex. They are really cheap and you can easily get them from 3rd party, with any payment methods you want. They can also get you the private one but that costs more.
I don't use cards, and they (these AI company) don't accept crypto, so I use this method to acquire paid subscriptions for the services I need.

There is a workaround. You could purchase a PPQ.ai gift card on Bitrefill with bitcoin or crypto. You then go here to redeem your gift card by entering the correct code. PPQ allows you to choose from over 400 AI models to use. Among them are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Deepseek, etc. No idea how good and reliable this service is, so you will have to do your own research.

Like what others suggested, it's the crypto-funded cards. A lot of things could be done with it because it acts like a debit card and it is one. For debit cards, it's not ideal to have subscription billing IMO. Automatic renewals might be a hassle because you need to load it again, and it could be problematic if you experience problems.
I'm not sure about regulatory and compliance when it comes to crypto payments to AI though.

Guys, let's be realistic. If you want to purchase directly from OpenAI / Anthropic / Google or some other AI lab, you are going to need to add a card in order for your payment to be accepted. And that means no using crypto directly. Your are going to have to add an exchange's debit card and complete KYC because without the KYC you will not be able to get any card issued to you. PST.net and Bitmart have worked for me in the past

I have that impression too, especially when I see that the OP mentions the same service in almost every post. I've already written that anyone who even wants to try this card should read their TOS carefully - it's a so-called NO KYC card where the user may be asked to fully identify themselves at any time.
