There is a workaround.
You could purchase a PPQ.ai gift card on Bitrefill with bitcoin or crypto. You then go here to redeem your gift card by entering the correct code. PPQ allows you to choose from over 400 AI models to use. Among them are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Deepseek, etc.

No idea how good and reliable this service is, so you will have to do your own research.

Their workaround is truly interesting, but this is still a third party middleman. So those action like buying those gift card in Bitrefill then try to redeem it on PPQ.ai provably add extra steps and create certain bad assumptions.

Trying to access those AI models through reseller is not actually the same if you go with their official sites or platforms. So reliability, long term support and also privacy is little bit questionable. Although it may really work. but its good for people just to make it optional because this is not risk free solution. So best to do your own research since its important matter here.

No, not at all, since you can use an aggregator to use popular AIs in the industry, and I find it better because I can use popular AI and compare their performance. I personally use Venicechat; it's my favorite, and I've had good results with it. Check these articles to access the popular AI aggregator

I have that impression too, especially when I see that the OP mentions the same service in almost every post. I've already written that anyone who even wants to try this card should read their TOS carefully - it's a so-called NO KYC card where the user may be asked to fully identify themselves at any time.
Problem with this type of services is that you don't have any sort of protection no matter what their TOS says. So best you can do is to never deposit large amounts and hope you won't get screwed in the end.

Unfortunately, that's how it is right now. If you want to pay with bitcoin for premium AI access, you will have to be prepared to take a few extra steps and spend more than you would with a simple card payment. What @aioc mentioned is also good. Check out OpenRouter. You can pay with crypto and get access to all popular AI models on the same platform.

I just thought of something else. Viber recently integrated ChatGPT within its app. It's unknown which exact model, though. I even asked the AI agent what model it is and it wasn't able to tell me. It says that the model wasn't disclosed publicly. Viber now has a "ChatGPT-powered feature" but "it's not the same as using ChatGPT directly". Limits surely exist.

Yeah somehow right and reality this is what we could actually do if we really want to avail that premium access.

But got curious seeking other alternative don't much have time to dig more deeper but aside from what has been posted by @aioc this is also what I found.

Maybe they just tried to hide it maybe to protect their system. But still in that case they made some nice updates towards adding that feature.

But yeah there's provably lots of restriction since it seems that they just add that to assist people using their app and they don't have any intention to make it as direct replacement of Chatgpt.

OP, some people on some platforms are selling ready made account with guarantees, you can pay with cryptocurrencies for them and you know what's strange? They are sometimes selling these accounts very cheaply. I don't remember the name of the platform but I bought AI accounts on these platforms very cheaply without a problem. If I remember, I'll post a name.

I wonder if the cost of setting up a crypto payment channel isn't worth their time. Maybe their userbase isn't consisted of crypto enthusiast either.
They are AI companies, promising others to build wonderful projects by typing some prompts. There is no way it costs them a lot to build up a crypto payment channel. It will take a very small time.
I also think that their userbase should be full of crypto enthusiasts because most people use these AI tools for tech development and I most people who are into tech, are crypto enthusiasts too.

For Claude specifically, add the card to your Google account or your Apple account, then use Android or your iPhone to pay for the subscription in its app.

It lets you accept cards that would otherwise be rejected by its web payment processor.

CMIIW, but doesn't that mean you pay the AI subscription/API with Google Play or App Store instead? With how both Google and Apple take 15%-30% "tax", wouldn't the AI company set higher price if you pay with one of those?

Yes, but that is one of the limitations with Claude's billing system. Personally I can't do this with ChatGPT, and I don't need to do this anyway since it already accepts my card.

Nobody's actually asked who issues this card. I checked IZIPAY's site myself, homepage and FAQ, all I found was "licensed crypto banks" and "trusted banking partners." No bank named anywhere. That's the real risk here, not the fees. No disclosed issuer means no backstop if this shuts down overnight. Add the KYC-anytime clause Lucius found in the ToS, and this isn't really a fees story.

Generally speaking, it's much better to use a card if the cardholder agreement is available to be read. CryptoCardsList makes this information very clear when you go to a card entry.

If you don't find such an agreement then you're relying on vouches from other forum members which is not ideal.

The part that usually breaks this isn't balance, it's the BIN. Plenty of subs decline prepaid/virtual ranges outright, and that can change overnight on the issuer's side with no warning. Worth adding to your list.

Fees are the other thing — conversion spread + top-up + FX if it bills in another currency. Sometimes cheaper to just do the bank route.

Any actual track record with IZIPAY, or is this the first test? Recurring charges clearing over a few months is the only thing that really tells you.

I think there can be a separate thread for discussing their service. Especially if some people feels existing posts feels like a marketing activity. I can't vouch for them for this monthly payments either.

Speaking of AI, most of my needs can be solved by specific apps instead of buying a package for ChatGPT. I guess some people can go this way to find more options to pay services that they needs.

Anyone else annoyed that AI tools still don’t accept crypto Angry?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — all the useful stuff is still basically “add a card and pay”. No USDT, no BTC, no on-chain checkout.

So the workaround is just a crypto card.

Not technically “paying ChatGPT with crypto”, but close enough in practice: you top up a card with crypto/stables and use the card for the subscription.

I was checking IZIPAY for this because they show supported merchant types here:
What you said here is close enough to the Bybit card, but unfortunately, this card was rejected by OpenAI when I tried it. I think other linked crypto cards would also be rejected based on what I later read about how OpenAI card payments work, though location could matter. Seeing your post today, it was as if you knew what I was facing recently about ChatGPT subscription on the web. I wanted to take advantage of their free offer before daring to try to start paying, just to know what the Pro offer could do for me if it would be worth it or not. I've been on this for weeks, and my card has always been rejected. I use a Bybit Visa card. I've used this card in many places, and none had rejected it until OpenAI. I even went to my bank yesterday to collect a Mastercard; they still rejected it. This, indeed, made me miss the direct crypto payment. Regardless, I can't try what you recommended here, as it's not a known service I can trust.
