I'm surprised that Nigerians haven't learnt anything from previous Ponzi schemes that have crashed. I wouldn't blame this unfortunate incident on the government because nobody contacted the government when they wanted to invest for advice. If they didn't contact the government that means they invested at their own risk so they should suffer the consequences alone. Some Nigerians problems is greed, when would they stop being greedy and be responsible..money this days is very hard yet some Nigerians still have the mind to invest in Ponzi schemes. Even as NRC has crashed and if another Ponzi scheme is launch tomorrow don't be surprised some Nigerians would still go ahead and invest. Anyone who doesn't want to learn should be prepared for the consequences that await them.
The way Nigerians participated in this NRC scam program further went on to tell me how ignorant, greedy and desperate our people are for money. There are numerous Nigerians out there who continue to participate in Ponzi Schemes like this and remain victims of these same Ponzi Schemes. Some of them go in with the intention of outsmarting the system by making money before the system crashes. Some went in because of frustration of looking for money and you hear them say they are ready to lose the money if they know there are chances to win, while others could be as a final of one thing or something else

People will not stop building platforms to make money from others, and people will not also learn from previous collapse, and so, people will always become victims. I have just stayed off that stuff
Ponzi schemes has been operating in Nigeria for about 10 years. I think they actually started with MMM which was control by a Russia scammer and after MMM crashed, many Ponzi scheme platform were launch with different names and patterns but they goals were all the same, to defraud people .This Ponzi scheme platforms won't stop, they will keep on relaunching with multiple names and if Nigerians don't want to be careful they might regret it later when the platform crashed. Nigeria should stop gambling with their money on Ponzi schemes it's too risky so they should stop putting their money into this platform because they are scams and they cannot be trusted.

That's the more reason I don't spare them or even try to sympathize with them even when I come across any. However, what we must understand is that life is not as easy as we always think meaning no good thing come easier. My advice is that, when we come across any of these real to be true schemes or whatever, we shouldn't quickly jump into it without proper verification, once the offer look more tempting we shouldn't hesitate to cross check over and over again else we become a potential victim of it.

I'm still surprised that in 2026 people are still falling for ponzi scheme scammed, this is making it the third time this is happening this year, and many are still investing in it ,how gullible people could be, and I know before the year ends 4 will still come and mend away with their money ,since MMS crashed,I know how hard it was for me to recover and I don't see myself falling vitim again for them ,but because of greediness anytime, any day my country people will still fall for it ,it's really sad knowing people don't learn ,but it's all good, they should keep wasting money that way, out of greed they have been falling victims for years till this year,it's really well.
Critically looking at the situation and the way the economy is, you can't really blame people for investing in it because the economy is bad and there's massive hunger and starvation in the land so any little opportunity that will give them money they will quickly jump at it because they want to make profit, I was once a victim of MMM and after investing some huge amount of money in it, it got crashed and there was nothing I could do so no matter how juicy the ponzi scheme is, I can never put my money in it due to the trauma I went through during that period. It is not greed sometimes because of the hardship in the economy so those that are not careful because of greed for money they keep falling victims. Someone came to me and was trying to convince me to join the NRC and I told him if I will pay money because joining then I'm not interested that's how the Man left me, all I can say is we should try to be careful not to key into every ponzi scheme we hear about.

Some times, I will burst out with laugh and rethink how people will invest money on a particular organisation that is not know to them or someone refer it to them by telling them that if you put in so, so amount of money, you will be getting triple of what you invested, and they will foolishly yield to it, without an investigation to know what has happened to those who invented wrongly. The funny part is that, they will go as far to borrow money to invest on this fake Ponzi scheme without not thinking if such scheme fail how do they will repay our loan, this is where suicide comes in. We can never learn unless we change our mentality of invest small and get big.

Another ponzi scheme just crashed yesterday. read detailsNRC claimed to be a read and earn platform that reward users for reading, referring and do daily tasks. Of course, it's not free. You pay for registration and upgrade your account to vip level. The more you upgrade with higher amount, the more you earn. Now the website (I don't want to reveal it) is not longer accessible since yesterday. Thousands of people are affected, billions of naira reportedly gone just like that. They claim it's maintenance but we know it already because we are familiar with the game. Red flags were there from day one but as usual, people ignored it. It guarantee returns, pay before earning and also relies heavily on referrals. These are obvious signs of ponzi and potential scam site but people are looking for quick money forgetting that wealth is built slowly. Some of the victims are blaming government for not providing jobs for them and that's why they want to take the opportunity. That's not an excuse. If you have money to invest in ponzi schemes, you definitely have money to invest in legit asset like bitcoin but they prefer quick profit over patience. This is 2026. We've seen enough of this incident and we suppose to have learn enough already. If they don't want to learn the proper way, they probably deserve what they got. If them no de scam us for this country everybody eyes will not open and to be honest if I say I no happy for this thing that happen I lie because of this thing did not happen some people go still be looking for another one to do again, I don’t know why we Nigerians like free things and things that will bring profit without no thinking about the project, many people that got scammed are those people who are complaining about the country is not good and there is bad leaders but they are able to invest in something that no one knows about.

Am actually a victim i invested both in NRC and TAG i wouldn't blame those who also fall victim of these scam projects they made everything look so real even have a CAC registration number and also some government officials were also their promoters so people wouldn't actually know it was just a ponzi scheme because they were even organizating program in different states with so much crowd and people were attending them so if Nigeria was a working country those frusd stars would have been fish out by now.
If it's because NRC and TAG showed people their CAC registration number and also have some government officials who were their promoters is the reason why we shouldn't blame those who fall victim of the exist scam of NRC and TAG, I will blame you and other persons that allowed themselves to be used by NRC and TAG because you guys knows how corrupt Nigeria is, anyone can have a CAC registration number in Nigeria as far as the person has the money to settle the person issuing a CAC registration number. What made people to invest in NRC and TAG was the high return of investment they promised, which should have been a red flag but people allowed greed make them take unnecessary risk which they regretted.

I agree that greed and a lack of due diligence are major reasons many people fall victim to Ponzi schemes. Promises of unrealistic returns should always be a red flag. Before investing, people should research the company, understand how it generates profits, and only invest money they can afford to lose. Borrowing money to invest in a scheme that promises quick riches is especially risky, because if it collapses, the debt remains. Financial education and patience are far better paths to building wealth than chasing "invest small, earn big" promises.

Ponzi scheme is no longer new to us as Nigerians, and has existed long time before now. I would say, if you must partake in ponzi scheme, bear it in mind that you are likely going to loose your money because making money from it is not sure. Before the crash of NRC, many have crashed in the past, and presently there are still many of them online, and people are still investing in them without minding the crash of NRC. Lack of job is not entirely the reason why some Nigerians are investing in Ponzi schemes because some of these people who invest in ponzi schemes are already working, but greed, and the desire for quick money makes them get involve. The most painful part is when people borrow money to invest in ponzi schemes instead of investing such money in their own personal business, and when the ponzi scheme crashes, they begin to pay dept they did not benefit from.

This thing about ponzi scheme is just like what people should approach with the same mindset just like gambling, because before this NRC of a stuff crashed last month, it's said that they have been in existence since January, and were paying people, which increase the trust rate of the platform among people who were doing and those who intended to join and unfortunately they never got any return of investment. And it just sad that every new ponzi scheme that later came after NRC, there are still people willing to put in money too, which is the funniest part of it. However, greed and lack of contentment are the reasons why people fall victim to ponzi scheme scams.

Yes of a truth ponzi scheme isn't new to Nigerians and will not end for now except the world has ended or a total transformation in Nigeria's economy to help create job opportunities and reduce there quest for survival outside. The most significant reason Nigerians keep pushing and failing for those ponzi schemes is not because they like losing but won't sit and fold there arms doing nothing for survival. In Nigeria today survival is very difficult because of lack of employment opportunities and the only way forward is to find anything humanly possible to provide for themselves

So many things have happened to us as Nigerians, so I don't see who else to motivate us apart from ourselves. Nigerian today is a place where different illegal action takes place, and all we do is fold our arms and watch as it consumes us without being able to do anything. We all said we would do everything possible to make Nigeria better for good, but with what I am seeing, the government have disappointed us, we have disappointed ourselves too thats why we die everyday from the hands of predators and assassins who hunt us down on daily basis without cause. Maybe someday we'll come together to fight crime and make this place a better place for all of us. Maybe, just maybe we will be able to end crime together.

One shouldn't be in a position where money is really all that needs now. Financial desperation is not good at all. What one will be doing at that time will look like he or she got drunk and don't know what went wrong. One thing I noticed that some people are just following. Them say money dey flow here. People dey make money if them do this and that. What will still go and flop later. We also are doing ourselves. Thinking we are smart than a thief. Nigerians will never learn. Hardest way to learn is what they want.

In a working country or country with sensible governance most online scam activities shouldn't have been going and even if it happens those scammers involved will be apprehend with in a short time since there was an account money was deposited into this will be an easy way to catch them up but in Nigeria government this idiots are thinking of how they can manipulate them self to go back to seat when next election comes. The scam by MMM should have been the last ponzi scheme scam that Nigeria should have just experience the case of NRC shouldn't have come up again, i just wish it never happened again the citizens should be wise.

Do we expect people that are so concerned about making money from making quick money from any means without minding the consequences that follows therein. Many nigerians are aware of ponzi scheme, infact many of them has been affected by the same pozin scheme in one way or the other, there has been many ponzi scheme in the past, even some people that are now into Bitcoin has their own story to tell but this shit don't have to continue, although some people has decided that they won't learn, because I don't see any reason why people will continue to fall for the same trap and the same scheme over and over again that's bullshit.

The thing is that Nigerians would never learn, people are talking about NRC today, people are also going to talk about something different latar tomorrow about what we call Ponzi schemes, I don’t trust people enough to give someone my money, to be doing whatever they think they’re doing when I’m not working at all, it’s something that really bothers me, and sometimes I have to think that poverty is also involved in such a situation of this magnitude, I have never seen rich people investing in Ponzi schemes, it’s always poor people that starts looking for Ponzi schemes that they can invest their money to be getting paid when you’re not working, the Government have to find a way to sensitize Nigerians on things that have to do with scam and Ponzi schemes.

Ponzi scheme are rampants so there's no way an average Nigerian can come with an excuse that he doesn't know what Ponzi scheme is all about and how they have been operating. Sometimes some Nigerians are just foolish because it is only a foolish person that would invest his income in a doubling schemes without even finding out about the legitimacy of the platform. What should pop up from their head is what if it crashes, what then happen to my money? I think these should be something people should consider before their invest in any Ponzi scheme.
