Should we keep a strict record of every single win and loss?

This is actually good. Yes I agree that we should keep detailed records of our wins and losses. That way you know whether you are bleeding money or making one. It might in turn make one very discipline in your bets. Most people don't even remember their losses. They only focus too much on their wins and if they sit to down to look back, they will quickly find out that they have lost more over time than actually win. Relying sorely on your memory is not bad, but for the sake of tracking your bets, writing it down is way better.

If one actually sees his bet history wins and losses and most of them are losses with so little wins, he or she will be forced to reduce frequent bets and it's a good thing. Most people are way to lazy to actually track their bets and I won't blame them. But when one is serious about gambling. He or she knows what to do.

There are actually some gambling sites that track the record of your wins, and losses as well. But I think keeping such record is very good, because most of the gamblers does not care to know the record of their wins, and losses, and such gambling style can make a gambler to gamble without control. There are times when some gamblers will feel like talking some break maybe as a result of long loosing streak or you have discovered you are loosing more than necessary, in this case is only when you are tracking your bets that you can be able to take such decision. For those gambling for the first period of time they might need to do that if they want to know by stats how profitable they have been. Personally I did that for a while and that was when I came up with the conclusion that the house would always have edge over gamblers no matter how much gamblers win. I see keeping a formal record of our gambling expenses as taking gambling a bit too far and too serious that it looks like a business.  Besides as already stated by some here and from my experience on using some gambling sites, there's always history of previous bets that includes wins and losses, so I don't see a need to start writing down how much spent and how much earned or lost while gambling, when we know fully well that gambling is supposed to be a fun activity and not a business of sort except for the gambling platform that pays for licences and taxes to the government in the jurisdiction they operate.

Nah, I dont mind much when it comes into this aspect or manner when it comes on trying out to tally every wins and loses. Well, it would really be just that depending on a certain gambler whether they would be wanting to have that kind of granular tracking when it comes into their winning or loses on which its something that recommended actually but it would really be that totally basing up whether you are wanting it or just simply dont care at all as long you are doing your control when it comes to budgeting with your gambling bankroll on which it is the most important thing. What matter most on here is that you are wary on how much you've been spending into your gambling and wont really be going beyond within those limits. THis is the main issue for most gamblers just because once you do play then you do easily forget with those limitations that you had set earlier.

I can remember vividly back them when i do keep accurate records in both my winning and losing, when ever i noticed that my losing is becoming so much, i will take a break without any one advising me to do so, because the more i feel like winning my next staking, the more losing i do record, so on faithful day i agree never to follow such strict recording in order for me not to develop high blood pressure one day, so with my past experiences and for the purpose of not developing any health issues, i will prefer that we should not keep any strict recording about our losing or winning.

All-time profit and loss is bit of an extreme and I have no idea about it, though, but I am speaking for the month, since we are talking about spending the income wisely, which means we should calculate how much should go into gambling if we want to, and then also having a record of knowing at least how much we can be a good thing. Even most of the hobbies can be monetized so it doesn't hurt to know the financial details too, even if we are doing it completely for fun.

In gambling, we don't want losses, but they're inevitable. As long as I'm comfortable with my losses, I easily move on from them; it's unnecessary to check your losses, because if you keep that in mind, there will be a situation in your playing session that will tempt you to try to recover them.
So always play within your budget and learn to move on. It's not worth getting depressed about something that is already gone.

it is better to see gambling from an optional point and not a compulsory one. Gambling should also not be something you do perpetually but time to time. I will pity whoever it is that is always spending their money on gambling of uncertainties. Don't gamble when you are not sure of the funds you are investing. You rather wait until when you have enough funds to budget extra money for gamble if not you will be hurt by your actions at the end of the day. Can you keep a strict record of every single win and lose, yes, to a large extent. But the only way to accomplish that is by gambling less and gambling occasionally and not frequently. I heard where somebody here said he gambles once in a month, another once in a week, etc. That's what it means to gamble and keep a record of them.

Personally, I basically gamble just for fun, nothing more than that. So, why should I keep a record of it all?

Working out all those details would cost me even more time, wasting the time I actually intended to spend enjoying my gambling session. For someone who sees gambling as a way to make a living, it's necessary so that they will know what kind of cash they will get after their gambling session.

Building and maintaining a track record like that is incredibly hard and requires a lot of discipline. On days when the bets don't go well, it would be very easy to skip the routine and update the records. From 1 bet to 3 abd it keeps piling up until the record keeping is completely abandoned. I said it that way because it's how I lived it. I like the idea but it's hard to implement and even harder to maintain. But if done right, it could provide valuable insights for any gambler that wants to operate at a professional level.

If you are still a beginner in gambling, I suggest you stick to it so you can easily monitor your wins and losses, and check if you have been making progress or just wasting your time in gambling.

However on my part, I did that before until I get tired and eventually stop the routine. Right now, I just stick on a small amount when betting, so losses are not that painful. But if you are gambling with big amount, then that could be a good suggestion, so that you will be able to evaluate how far you have gone with gambling, or how long you have been making uncomfortable losses from betting using your hard-earned money.

I don't know if this has been talked about here before, but it’s been on my mind for some days now.

​Many times as gamblers, we choose to just flow with the fun and excitement we get from it. By doing that, we don't have to think or worry too much about the losses we incur.

But if we look at it closely, gambling is ultimately an expense. Shouldn't we be keeping a proper record of exactly how much we put into a casino and lose, versus how much we actually make when we win?

​I was thinking that this kind of habit would benefit us in several ways. For one, it helps you know if your gambling risk is getting too high, allowing you to pivot or budget a much smaller amount so you don't end up blowing through your hard earned income on casino games.

Well it's easy to say than applying it in the real world gambling. In the real world gambling, you may not even apply that formula because you will not have the strength to do that, infact loses are often higher than wining and if you continue to keep record of your win and lose, you might get tired and feel exhausted because you will get to a point where you no longer have the mind to keep record again, it will look as if you are just keeping more record of loses than wining, and it will become problematic to you, knowing that loses are more. So it is better you just gamble and and not keep any record otherwise you get discouraged.

There are people who keep track of the time they spend on each task in their work, especially in the case of freelancers, there are even apps that help you measure times by task and offer graphs. Spreadsheets with lots of details about all income and expenses applied to the personal or family economy are also typical. For the same reason, I understand that there may be people who find it comforting, even entertaining, to keep track of their wins and losses, but the truth is that it seems to me a real waste of time and effort to record absolutely everything.

It is much easier for me to have a weekly or monthly budget to spend, and if there are earnings enjoy them in something I like, but without giving too much importance to the net result, as long as I do not exceed that budget.

Actually, it will really be beneficial for us, but I really don’t see the need for me to be keeping all of those records, as I see it as something those who see gambling as a business and treat it professionally are to do and not me, who gambles with what I can afford and bases it on budget without expecting too much from it.

I consider it another time-consuming exercise to start keeping a record of all my gambling winnings and losses unless the casino has made it possible for such to be seen through without penning them down.

Even in my case this is also true that the lost amount is much bigger from the winning amount and I also accept this that most of the time I will face losses and very few times I will win in my gambling, and that actually happening most of the time with me.

And this is why I always follow the strict rules when I went for gambling like I always set a bankroll amount what I can afford to lose even it is very small amount of my monthly income and then I went for the gambling it was just like a expense for me but it gives me the happy hormone like the dopamine in my brain I mean it's entertain me. I never thought that I will be a rich man by the gambling and this is why I also stress free right now even lost a good amount.
