That's good, learning from your past losses or wins helps one to learn some things to apply it in their next bet, although it actually helps, even if its not guarantee to go the way one wants all the time but at least, it will make one to retrace their steps and know where they go wrong or where they do the right thing and that shows that gambling is both fun and learning, which also means you are in control of your habits in gambling, and some people don't really understand this techniques.

Professional sports bettors are doing that. They need to keep a record, and it has to be updated because that is their basis to know if they are profitable or not.

Normally, they are into long-term betting, they have a decent bankroll, and they manage it well by betting only a small percentage of it.

But for most of us, we do not really have that kind of system. We just bet whatever money we have, and if we lose, we come back tomorrow with another money. I agree, but I also believe that it's good to review that strategy from time to time.  I am sure that sports betting is constantly changing and different teams, players and even bookmakers are making changes in their odds. The same strategy that has been working well for you in months may not be effective if market conditions actually changes.  That doesn't imply you have to give it up as soon as you have a few losses though but it's a good idea to continually checking its performance.  It is a good idea to follow a winning strategy but it's also important to be flexible enough to change your approach when needed.

It's unlikely that someone would record their expenses while on vacation. Going on vacation just for fun without any gain is akin to gambling.

Take your time in tracking your win/loss. If that's the kind of gambling you want to have, you're free to keep a record and it doesn't have to be strict at all. You can open a spreadsheet whenever you're playing some casino games and together with the sports bet that you also bet for. But to me, I don't think that I'll be seeing myself doing these things because what I think that I should do is to gamble whenever I can and there's no need for me to record all of it. Well I won't agree less on your logic. Definitely, taking account of one's wins and losses will evenly give them a clear analysis on how to gamble rationally not irrationally. Based on the fact that it's often for fun still considering the fact that you are staking money, then from my point of view, all amounts of money both big or small that you as a gambler stake is deemed worthy of taking account measures for.....

That said still while you keep account of how much you have lost, it might affect you if you aren't psychologically strong in the sense that a gambler could have this sense of 'revenge gambling,' which is gambling irrationally. So yeah my point here is that if you as a gambler understand the way you gamble in the sense that most gamblers aren't that emotionally stable as to ever gamble just for fun then you should not consider keeping records to avoid issues. In some causes I think keeping a complete record of gambling should be one of the good habits of a gambler. As a result, the gambler understands how much he has lost so far. Is gambling really beneficial for him or is he just wasting his hard-earned money? Gamblers erase the history after losing and after some time forget how many times he has lost in gambling.
