They exploit the environment to survive in it which is why you see human surviving in their different environment. If people don't get scammed on a crypto exchange, then it is possible for them to get scammed on social media, which also happens to be one of the place where people spend most of their times. However, when it comes to p2p scams on crypto exchanges, I think only the exchange can prevent such from either happening again or continue. Because to be honestly speaking, I have actually been a victim to this p2p scam few months back on Bitget crypto exchange. And what the scammer did was to manipulate the dollar rate from $1 per #1450 to $1 per #1370. Deducting a whole #70 Naira to each from each dollar I sold, and only to release the next day that I have been scammed since I was very busy and couldn't compared and check the rate very well. And recently, I'm happy there was a news release by Bitget Exchange regarding p2p scam, and how they intend to fight and ensure it doesn't happen again on the platform.

People have been getting scammed by all types of things long before crypto and scams continue that have nothing to do with crypto. Some people do not know this or were not aware of this because maybe during those times they were young or busy with other activities and did not notice what was happening around them. These days the punishment for crime in many places is very soft, that is also a big contributing factor to the crime. Scam attack shouldn't only be the responsibility of the government. If we hear something or see something, we should do well to try and report it or inform the necessary officials to look into it, because if we try to keep quite because we were smart to avoid it, it might just be someone close to us that may become a victim and that's it.

As much as I like scams to be eradicated completely, we also need to educate people on how to avoid scam. There is this recent scam that people did this pass June, they call it NRC, I don't know why People are not clever when it comes to scams, they doh read about ponzi schemes. What the scammers did was they went offline, they didn't do it online, they went ahead to have agents in different states to get people's trust and went big to scam plenty people.

You see this Facebook app, there are plenty of gullible people on that app than other social media, alot of people are on that app that fell for the scam and loss all their money. Some used their business money to do the scams and they hid it until the scammers run away, that's when they started crying and seeking for people to help them out.

Scams can't be permanently eradicated in Nigeria or any part of the world, even in well developed countries as USA scams are still striving because we always have ignorant people and scammers that are just too skilled that it becomes difficult to not fall victim to their scams.

The best the government can do is to educate each citizen so as to equip everyone with the right information they need to avoid becoming victims of scams. With this being fully achieved the high rate of successful scams will be reduced although we might still have few victims but they won't be as much as they currently are.
