I see so many people saying p2p scam can't be eradicated in the country, well, anything involving scams can be eradicated, we have heard of countries that their prison are empty, how were they able to do it? These are the question we should be asking ourselves. For me, I think the government needs to get involved, the security agencies should also step up their games. Nigeria is a country where everyone commit crimes, because they feel they won't be stopped, their scheme won't be eradicated and that's why they continue to scam people. We should start pointing fingers to the security agencies to do their best to ensure that the Bitcoin space is sanitizes, it is possible, we should hold them accountable, they should be able to protect the citizens lives and property.
Ask yourself today, when does this all stop? I guess it won't stop, because we think they can't be eradicated, we believe they can't be stopped, this only means we are having the same mentality With this scammers, meanwhile there are some countries today that don't even have a record of theft now. They might have in the past, but they took some security measures and they made sure their citizens are being protected, educated and free from crimes.
I share your perspectives, scams can be permanently eradicated only if the government is ready to impose stricter rules that will make the crypto market uncomfortable for scammers, the government ought to be working with these crypto exchanges because that's one of the major ways they can reduce scamming, working with them to ensure they improve cybercrime security walls, public awareness campaigns and more in other to entrapped these scammers to their pockets, trust me these scammers will be on their toes looking for hideout.
Also the users have specific roles to carry out because they're the targets of scammers, they need to be extremely cautious with the trades they made, the P2P merchants they trade with and they should always avoid crypto deals that are seem to be too good to be true, in that way, one can easily know his stands and corners in the market. Eradicating scams in the country will not only depend on the government but also the users have a key role to play because both parties cooperation is needed.
