FC Sheriff practically fell apart against Maccabi Tel Aviv. We can say that Maccabi Tel Aviv advanced to the next round on the road. For Tel Aviv, which scored 5 goals against its opponent on the road, the home game will now be a mere formality, in my opinion. I don’t think anyone expected Sheriff to concede so many goals; in fact, given how close the odds were, I could have even predicted a draw.

Qarabag failed to secure a victory in front of their home crowd, which will pose a challenge for them in the return leg. They have no choice but to win their other match in Sofia. Another possibility is that the match will go to extra time and penalties. I'm sure they'll want to win without it going to penalties. Considering their successful performance in the Champions League last year, their draw in this qualifying round surprised me quite a bit. I was expecting a victory for the Azerbaijani team at home.

We have the second round of qualification in the European league ahead of us are several very interesting matches, such as the match between Dynamo Kyiv and PAOK, Twente and Ferencváros, Hajduk and Pafos and Beşiktaş and Midtjylland.
With the exception of Dynamo Kyiv (who were not very convincing in the first round), I would say that the home teams is the favorite to win.
I have some doubts about Hajduk because they haven't made any notable results in European club competitions for a long time and in recent seasons they have regularly ended their European appearances in the second or third round of qualifications.

These are all interesting matches to watch tomorrow. Dynamic Kyiv hosting the first round against POAK. Both teams are very strong, the first round is an opportunity for the home team to score a lot of goals, the second leg might be difficult for them. I think POAK will be much better at home. Twente vs Ferencváros will be difficult to predict, since every team will like to give their best throughout the game, but I am not expecting a draw from the match.

Beşiktaş vs Midtjylland, on the other hand, Midtjylland is more stronger than Beşiktaş in my opinion, but anything can happen since Beşiktaş is will host the first leg, while Midtjylland will be playing the second leg at home. I have the feeling that Midtjylland will qualify for the Europa League.

PAOK has shown that it is very strong and competitive this season with an away win.
Ferencváros, surprisingly slowed down for me, beat Twente away.
Beşiktaş used the player more on the field (after the red card for the opposing player) and the advantage of the home field to win, but everything is still open in this match.
I hope that Hajduk will knock out Pafos after a great first home game and victory.

At this point, i'm doubting Benfica can do that in their home game. They're focusing too much on possession instead of thinking how to score. It makes no sense when they being so dominant in term of possession with more than 60%, but they could only created 1 big chance. Meanwhile, ST gallen recorded 4 in total.
The creativity of their attack must become their main concern for the 2nd leg. It'd rather see they played a less possession football, but it's combined with a direct attack instead of passing here and there in front of the penalty box.

This may be the result from how they missed a half of their starters. However, the chance for them to turn things around is still there. Araújo, Lukebakio, Schjelderup and etc will comeback during the 2nd leg.
They may play better during the 2nd tie. So i may wager on them in the 2nd leg considering they will play with the full team.
