Many new users understand how to create a wallet, but they don’t always understand the safety steps before connecting that wallet to a website or dApp. This is important because one wrong approval, phishing link, or fake website can create serious risk.

For platforms like Rillex or any other crypto gaming platform, I think users should first understand the basics before depositing or connecting a wallet.

A few wallet safety points I follow:

Use a separate hot wallet
I don’t think it is smart to connect your main wallet everywhere. A separate wallet for online platforms or dApps is safer.
Keep only the needed amount
The connected wallet should only hold the amount needed for transactions. Main holdings should stay separate, ideally in a safer wallet.
Check the official website carefully
Before connecting a wallet, always check the URL. Fake websites and phishing links can look very similar to real platforms.
Confirm the network
Before signing or sending anything, check that MetaMask or your wallet is on the correct network.
Read wallet prompts carefully
Never click approve quickly. Always check what the wallet is asking for, which contract is involved, and whether the approval is limited or unlimited.
Review and revoke old approvals
If you no longer use a platform, review old token approvals and revoke permissions using trusted tools.
Never share private information
No platform, admin, support agent, or community member should ever ask for your Secret Recovery Phrase, private key, or wallet password.
Understand platform rules before depositing
Before using any crypto gaming platform, users should read the terms, restricted countries, wallet support, risk warnings, and responsible play information.
