I watched a video that said social capital/your connections/the people you know will be much more important in the next 10 years.

And that got me thinking about a few things:

1. Do you think that also applies to the crypto world? And considering that most interactions are online, how do you make these connections?

2. How much has having connections helped you in your life? Or how much has not having connections affected you?

3. What advice would you give to someone to help them make these connections? (In my case, I'm an introvert and I don't usually comment, but now I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone, so I'm taking the risk of posting and doing more than just reading and liking other people's posts)

Connections definitely matters but they are even more valuable when they are built naturally rather than being forced or collected for personal gain.

In crypto I have seen people  earn respect simply by being helpful and admitting when they don’t know something. Those kind of relationship tends to last longer than the ones based on business or price speculation.

As for being an introvert I’ll say you are already doing the right thing by engaging in discussions. Most connections starts with regular conversations not networking for the sake of networking.

Connections only matter in a world filled with nepotism and bullshit. Oh wait. That is the world where everyone consistently acts like shit 100 percent of the time. And idiots wonder why everyone believes in eternal damnation.

You could easily connect with wealthy people for example, if you're wise person regardless of your financial status, but wise people hardly take advantage of the financial benefit from the connection due to how difficult it's to be wealthy while holding strongly to the right principles/morals that make them wise. It always feels like degeneracy or moving from top to filthy level if you abondon the principles/morals in order to become rich. The emptiness one feels from this could be really depressing.

But without wisdom, it will be hard to connect with wealthy people. They will look down on you or regard you as nobody.. Trying to force yourself into their circle or life could get them really mad...but you may be lucky if they are your relatives or old friends. If you are lucky with this type,  they will eventually make you go through the process they went through before they become rich. The process is likely to be really bad/evil. Large gifts or favor from them will likely have strings attached

I believe the best kind of connection is one that involves connecting with people you share similar passion/interests with, or one done through hardwork and serving the good role you were created to serve on earth. You can easily get called up when this type notice that you are like them or have what they need

Got it, thanks. So we need to focus more on being honest, authentic, and trying to help others, and over time we'll start to make those connections

The best way to earn respect is to act like a piece of shit. Most people are themselves fucked up pieces of shit, so the only way to earn their respect is to be as fucked up as possible. So go ahead, impress your friends by doing drugs and getting diseases. They will think you are cool because they are disgraceful.

Go ahead. Brag that Bitcoin has a mining algorithm that was never designed to advance science. You hate science because you are a stupid idiot.

If people are so obsessed with connections, you think most people would focus on not acting like pieces of shit. But then again, most people always act like shit 24/7. They even eat nothing but shit since their diets are much worse than even the alligator I saw yesterday eating a smelly rotting snake that has been dead for a couple of days. Well, I guess that means to get along with shitty people, people must act really shitty?

You don't need to know everyone. For online communities, I think showing up regularly matters more. Read first, reply when you really have something to say, and help where you can.

Pile of dog shit, if you don't mind me being so blunt. Nothing wrong with being an introvert, you just have to steal yourself. Physically and mentally. The age we have entered is not for the weak.

As for the so called crypto world, it's 99% scams. There  wasB Cash, Bit gold, B money, or something,...then Bitcoin, then Grin. Not sure about the order as well. Look up Grin mimblewimble. It was built by the same group, aka, cypherpunks.

The only thing that matters is the ability to appeal to stupid people by saying a lot of stupid shit that sounds smart but only to morons.
