Is it possible to learn patience and control with gambling, or is stopping the only choice?
The last several days all/most of my play has been controlled and for very small amounts. It was fun and could have lasted much longer. Then, when winning nicely, I lost patience and over-bet quickly losing both some money and the fun, responsible times I had been having recently. Do you frequently go through periods of patience and control followed by eventually "losing it?" Is completely stopping the only real choice?

It's very possible to have control over your betting habit, trying to stop entirely is not the ultimate, but having self control will go a long way ,there are some policy I have used and it's helping me, whenever you win ,take a break and use your money wisely, when one is on losing streak, you still need to take a break as not to gamble with all you have ,one need to be patience and be careful with your dealings as not to lose everything, including the fun and your win , gambling only need wisdom and to be careful with how you operate on it .

In gambling this involves feelings or self-control and yes when we can not control ourselves well the loss will be followed by the beginning of losing patience even though it stops completely this is the most appropriate but on the other hand by putting patience that is strictly adhered to this will work too so I think if it is to stop completely difficult then there is still patience or good self-control that can be applied to avoid careless behavior when betting. Most people certainly gamble with a loss of self-control because this has become a certainty, even the occurrence of changes with which initially have self-control but when it is playing the self-control is lost is a case that I think has happened enough and experienced by everyone who gambles.

Yes, you can learn patience and control, that is it you are in total control of the situation. Let's say you are in a losing streak, then it's better to stop as the game is not favoring you. If you push yourself then maybe you can lose more money. Or just bet in small stake instead of going all in and when you lose then that's it. And we have a lot of tips on what we should be doing before gambling and we should just put that in mind and have self-discipline.

Yes, it's very possible, but it is more difficult than people think, because it's a mental thing. First, the gambler must be ready to eliminate the desperation of money-making from his minds, then he must be intentional about a responsible gambling. Such must ensure that all processes are well-tailored and regulated. The major reason why gamblers go haywire is because they do not have any good plan and purpose, they just gamble all the same. If this could be reversed, it would be a clean fundamental state in their minds.

Patience and control are probably something you can learn. But to do so, you'd need to build a whole system, encompassing many elements—from risk management and philosophy to guidelines on which games you should actually play. Again, if you're gambling "for fun," there's no need to build such a system; it's pointless. Only if you have long-term plans for making money from gambling should you consider it. Patience isn't a problem if there's something worth enduring for. The problem is that sometimes it's pointless.

I don't think losing in gambling have anything to do with patience and control. Control can only help you not to lose too much when you're on a losing streak. At best, these things will help you with proper money management to some extent. When you're getting to excited, control will help you keep your emotions in check so as not to over gamble and lose all your money. A lot of us, myself included have also experienced having a good run and then losing it all at the end of the day, it is all part of the game. Just take the good days with joy, and the bad with courage.

Stoping is not the only choice, you can be patient and practice self control, but if you decide to stop then it's up to you because stopping is a personal choice. The last several days all/most of my play has been controlled and for very small amounts. It was fun and could have lasted much longer. Then, when winning nicely, I lost patience and over-bet quickly losing both some money and the fun, responsible times I had been having recently. Of course people go through period of patience and later when they are out of patience they lose control and it makes them to lose money. But then stopping completely depends on the gambler decision. If he decides to stop it is fine by him, but if he decides to continue and practice self control, it is Also fine by him.

100% yes it can be practice and done by users. Maybe this is applicable to users who havent experience a sudden addiction. We all know gambling is fun but we cant generalize that all users might become a gambling addict. Cause some users literally do it for fun and some other leisure activity. When you exhaust your fund for gambling then simply stop. Worse is if he cant stopped.

For me, it wasn't really about patience as much as sticking to limits when emotions kicked in. Thats a lot easier to say than to do. If you notice this keeps happening over and over again, it might be worth asking whether the controlled periods are actually sustainable or if they're just part of the same cycle... Also, I don't think there's one answer that fits everyone. Some people can set strict boundaries and stick to them while the others find that gambling eventually pulls them back into old habits no matter how careful they are trying to be. Paying attention to the pattern all the time is probably more useful than judging one good or bad session. If the same ending keeps repeating, that tells you something important.

The most important thing we must learn as long as gamble is concern is how to stop as of when due. However, to be able to take a break when we are no longer finding it pleasant is just the best decision any gambler can ever make and that shows they are in charge of their game. And again, it not proper trying to play patient in gamble since it's almost out of our control, it's not advisable because it can bring you down in no time. Therefore giving you a false hope that may keep you on the screen till you final go broke, so the best is to pause when you no long enjoy the vibe you are getting and save yourself from further lost.

Gambling, especially non-skill-based games, involves luck and random factors. Just because you are patient, it doesn't mean you will get what you want. Gambling doesn't reward patient people. Gambling rewards lucky people who can control themselves.
Patience is part of self-control itself. Know when to start, when to stop, and how much to spend. You should know your own "enough" level. What you need to learn is knowing your limit and having strong self-control. But again, self-control alone is not enough, luck is still number one in the end. The analogy could be that self-control is the TP/SL, meanwhile luck is the candlestick chart.
I don't think stopping is the only choice, because self-control can be trained. However, if you keep losing control, it's better to take a break and try again later. The duration of the break could be increased gradually based on the repeated experiences of losing control that you have had.

Self control and patience when gambling come solely from knowing that it should be nothing more than fun and not a source of income. You should only bet amounts that you’re certain you can spare, in other words, that you can afford to lose. Nobody likes losing, of course, but it’s part of the game. This is the only way to stay patient and keep your cool, otherwise, you need to set a limit and stop, otherwise you’ll spend huge amounts of money and get into financial difficulties.

Is it possible to learn patience and control with gambling, or is stopping the only choice?
It’s possible or else there’s no responsible gambling out there that enjoy gambling on regular basis. Patience and control takes time to build on gambling due to the game design that makes gambler greedy at some point but it’s possible to achieve that by practicing slowly in the long run. Your mindset on why you gamble is the key factor to achieve it since you will never have patience and control if your goal is a quick rich. Gambling is dedicated for entertainment purposes not a financial tool so play responsibily.

Is it possible to learn patience and control with gambling, or is stopping the only choice?
I'm talking about my personal experience. To learn patience and self-control, you need discipline and rules. They usually go hand in hand, if you respect the rules you impose on yourself you can safely gamble, if you can't respect even the simplest rules you impose on yourself the best solution is to quit. Unfortunately it's either black or white you can't choose gray, if you don't make a tough decision you can't continue. I imposed on myself two simple rules that have important value: time and money at stake. No more than 15 minutes of playing session (whether I win or lose) No more than 10\15$ per week loss. If you can set these two rules to your measure and stick to them, go ahead with it. If you can't, definitely stop.

Yes, stopping gambling completely is the only correct measure every gambler and bettor who has developed a gambling problem should take. There are no half-measures where disaster is possible. You can't half-heartedly quit gambling; you can only make a firm decision to quit, and it will definitely be the right one. And all these attempts to win back your debts are wrong, even if a lucky streak begins after debts. It will end, and the player will be left with even greater misfortune than before.
